  • Evening everyone

Just a flying visit tonight I'm afraid.

Debbie - I lost a good chunk of my 8st loss using the 2014 books so they can't be all that bad ;). Do whatever works for you. No, no you don't need to join another challenge - hang around with us. Just tell shala how much you would like to lose by Halloween and she will add you to our chart - she's nice like that :D. Any questions just shout up and hopefully someone will be around to help you. Good luck.

Spinkz - I have heard that when exercising, muscles can retain water for repairing any damage. I don't know if this is the case or not but it could explain things.

Meg - lovely to see you posting again :D

Lantanna - which philly normal/light/lightest did you use with your mushrooms. Must try these some time as they sounded lush. Having an extra cuppa (more liquid) now before I have my supper. Haven't had a huge amount extra but I have tried. I drink tea/coffee/bovril and sparkling water and sometimes limited amounts of sf fizzy drinks but it gets a bit boring at times. I don't like squashes and fruit juices are so high. Oh well we must battle on. :D

I am aware I haven't been posting menus but I have a record of what I have had as I am doing a diary for my consultant. Will try to post a couple of days sometime tomorrow.

    Must go now.

    Evening..

Hope you don't mind lantanna but I've added a link to your lists on the front page :D thanks for those...

Debbie, course you can stick with us.. I sometimes go with the 2014 way, as my main source of fruit are all the ones that aren't speed (typical ) you just have to dodge speed cop maman police.gifand the stick poke.gif ;):rotfl:

Just tried Lantannas cheesy mushrooms, oh my they are lovely, I added garlic and black pepper and had them with bacon and grilled tomato, used my two slices wholemeal for toast. A real feast.

Sounds lovely and also a tiny bit rude:rotfl:

2lbs off for this week please Shala

Sounds like you had a fab holiday :)

Congrats to the losers and commiserations to the gainers:T

Struggling a bit last week - I'm 2 months in to SW and feeling just a little bored IYSWIM. Please come and give me a well deserved kick :o
I think there's been too many birthdays (with cake!) at work and I really feel resentful that I can't have it - I really can't do just a bit of cake as sugar seems to be like a drug. Once I have some, it's like a craving but it's hard when people are saying ' oh go on, just a little bit won't hurt' and it will because it won't be just a little bit!

Anyway whinge over - back into the zone go I :o Remembering that I got to this size with the inability to just have a 'little bit'
  • Great loss orlao :T

  • Well done, orlao.

    Syns Balance: 79 ½
    Wednesday’s syns:
Lunch was a jacket potato with prawn mayo and salad (about 3 for mayo) I was feeling very smug that I’d made a decent choice and I didn’t have anything else. I should have known better! We went to Dobbies later for some bits and pieces and my friend wanted a coffee and a scone. I agreed to a tea BUT the scones were 2 for 1 so you can guess the rest. How many syns in a humongous scone filled with jam and cream? Certainly not less than or equal to the 12/ 16 ½ syns I had for today. I guess I’ll be drinking fizzy drinks tomorrow.
ETA just found this from My Fitness Pal site
Calories in Dobbies Cherry scone cream
    Calories 260

So that’d make mine (a plain scone) about 13syns. I’ll go with the 16 ½ syns and start afresh with syns tomorrow.
    Syns balance: 60

    Thursday
    Breakfast: hexb BLT
Lunch: baked potato with beans, fruit salad
Dinner: hexa cheesy Mediterranean pasta bake (2 syns), beetroot, Shape 0% fat apple crumble flavour
Snacks (choose from): Walkers French Fries ( 4 ½ syns), WW cake slice (4 syns)

    Good luck everyone.

I love their salad Nicoise - but doesn't it come with olives as well? I couldn't have a Nicoise without them. :rotfl:

No they substituted olives with capers a while back. Probably cost cutting but at least they're free.
So just want to check with you all , is it still ok to take part in the Slimming World Challenge with you guys or should I join another diet forum ?

    Thanks
    Debbie x

Of course we want you to stay and apologies if I made you feel bad.:) I have an obsession with Speed food as I'm convinced that planning and Speed is the reason why SW can work so well. Only last week my Consultant confessed that she doesn't eat veg at all and there are some on here (mentioning no names wiz;)) that really don't like veg and make a massive effort to fit some in.

Just keep asking questions and we'll do all we can to help.

I hope you got your lunch sorted out liz. I find pasta or rice salad quite filling and if I'm feeling really greedy I stir in red beans along with all the salady bits.

I've had a lovely day in London with my friend but since breakfast it's been off plan. Back on the wagon tomorrow:).

    Morning all,

Today has gone a bit wrong already....

My intended salad for lunch today is non exsistant, I dozed off last night and didn't have time before bed or this morning to make anything, I literally have two minutes to write this then get out the door :-/

    So, plan today is.....

Breakfast - chocolate weetabix and milk - HEA/HEB and 4 syns
Lunch - don't know what yet lol
Dinner - pasta with mushrooms, red onion and chopped tomato
Snacks - fruit of some kind

    Tomorrow will be better :)

Well it's the moment of truth for me with WI this morning. Not holding my breath but hoping for a small loss, perhaps half pound but we'll see.

    Having another Green day today:

B - carrot sticks after WI (haven't got any small fruits that I can pick at while selling raffle tickets & folding them!)
L - HM pepper soup which I made yesterday with HEB bread. Was quite surprised when DH decided to take some for his lunch today as he doesn't usually like soup
    D - jacket potato, beans & cheese (HEA1)
    S - 3 Lidl sesame crispbreads (HEB2); butter 3.5

2nd HEA will be milk in tea throughout the day.

Will be back later once I've been to group and done some shopping.
