    Morning all :)

Reporting in with the result of this week's (delayed) weigh in, and I've STS again. To say I'm annoyed would be an understatement having documented every morsel of food that has passed my lips, and I still have 10 syns left in the bank, but I'm not going to have a meltdown.

AuntyCat and Liz3yy - welcome to the thread. Feel free to ask any questions, there's a wealth of knowledge amongst the lovely people on this thread, and good luck with your weight loss.

Hope everyone had a good weekend and enjoyed the lovely weather - more sunshine forecast today so have a good one.

CP, you'll be sick of cake by tomorrow. Try to draw a line and move on. It's done now. Enjoy your weekend and start fresh on Monday. If you do go to WI it might not have caught up with you yet but with a week seriously back on plan you'll sort it.

Don't be too disheartened CP - try to put yesterday behind you, start afresh today and stick to plan over the weekend and you've got a good chance of minimising any damage done. Don't forget, we're all human and we have weak moments when we give in to temptation. The first challenge is to recognise it and the second is to move on.

Thanks folks! Haven't been online since, had such a busy time! Coffe morning went really well. Raised almost £700 for Macmillan so happy with that.

I've enjoyed my weekend.... too much! :rotfl: 2 meals out on Saturday, lots of alcohol Saturday night, sugar binge yesterday followed by a chinese! :o:o:o

Suffering for it this morning. My IBS is agony :( My own fault!

Had an amazing weekend though with friends and family, and son had a brilliant birthday.

I'm still going to class tonight. I need to see the damage to draw a line under it, but I'm back on the plan NOW. I need to be. I can't afford to lose another day. Worked hard to get my 1/2 stone award last week so whatever I gain this week I want OFF next week to get back to where I was.

Huge welcome to AuntyCat and Liz3yy. Lots of lovely people on here to help you along the way.

Hope everyone has had a good week! I'll be back online tonight with results!

Have a good day all! ;)

  • Shala thanks for the new thread.

We just got home from our visit to DS3 at work on the cruise ship. Think I have gained a ton :) And the 8 days staying with a friend on Skye. He did all the cooking! !!

I want to lose 7lb by Halloween. That is 7lb less than I was at last weigh in at end of August. We have a MrS delivery tonight with all the correct things for me to be eating. I will make do with eggs and apples until it arrives.

  • Thanks JoeDenise for the reply & thanks everyone for the welcome.

As I said I have ben lurking for some time & have made the occasional comment, but want to try to be involved more as i'm sure it will help.

I weiged in yesterday & was 12.1 stones, which i know isn't huge (i'm 5"6) but it's the heaviest i've ben for a while and its plus 3lb over the holiday.
I did go to group & get the books about 5 years ago, i lost a couple of stone & then have been 11.8 - 12.1 for a while, but i never got to what i wanted to be.
I'm quite good at doing the exercise so that helps, but i do like a drink(or 3) so that doesn't. I eat quite healthly so i think the beer & exercise fight it out to keep a balance.

I have started well today with 1 toast with a small spread of low sugar jam and a big bowl of fruit for breakfast & a ham salad for lunch.
I'll use milk in my teas / coffee.
A salmon stir fry with noodles is planned for tea, so if i can stick to that it'll be a good day.
  • Quick dash in with a very quick :hello:

Sorry I have been missing since about Thursday? but things have been quite hectic. Have been on plan most of the time I think but not expecting too much from tonight's wi after last week's unexpected mega loss last week. So pleased with myself yesterday after having a long shopping trip with DS - lunch was Subway and I had a chicken salad and steered away from the cheese and stuff that might have been loaded with syns and just had a dribble of honey/mustard dressing so that probably wasn't too bad. In fact, it looked so tasty that DS said he wouldn't mind trying the salad next time as it looked so good

May not have time to catch up with everyone from over the weekend so I will just say well done to losers, hugs to strugglers and good luck to everyone for the coming week.

Lantanna - go girl - with all the decluttering :T I have spent some of the weekend listing some of my cross stitch stuff on fleabay as most of the clothes have now gone (fleabay, charity shop and bin). It probably won't make me a millionaire but I might get some brownie points from :money: :rotfl: I sold my size 24 coat last week for £30 and bought a new padded coat (size 16) in teal for £35 so won't complain about that.

Off to see if I can get a jumper from Sainsbobs online as DH couldn't get the jumper he wanted in the size/colour he wanted. Hopefully the 25% off is still working.

Will pop back in with tonight's numbers ;)

That's a good plan. I'm sure it's best to know exactly where you are. Glad you enjoyed the weekend though.

I know there have been some changes in the past 5 years mostly last January when lots of fruits that had been SF are now no longer Speed food. And then syn values change as manufacturers alter recipes and some things that used to be HEXs no longer are. Do ask if you want to know any syn values or anything else. Your menu for today looks absolutely fine but don't forget your syns. Potentially you've only had some jam today.

With syns you just have to prioritise what gives you most pleasure. If that's beer, then go for it!!

How infuriating to STS lois. I can't imagine you're going wrong anywhere but I'll look carefully when you post menus just to be sure.

That's one incredible NSV b-e-g going from a size 24 coat to a size 16.:T

    EE plan for today:
B: NAS Grapefruit, 2 boiled eggs, half HEB toast, milk for drinks
L: cold pork and fried veg
D: gammon, broccoli, mushroom, tomato, new potatoes, carrots
Syns: scrape of spread and maybe a little more on my potatoes.

I've half a HEB going spare might have it at supper time if I'm hungry.
  • Thanks Maman. I'll have a good read through of the first page & may splash out on a magazine for up to date info and motivation.

As for syns, i do tend to save them for a couple of beers a couple of times a week so i won't have my full 15 a day generally.

Feeling the same as you Lois. Fed up with the sts and not losing. Will just keep trying.

Horrible star week here. Squeezed into my size 12 trousers. Feeling frumpy and old :rotfl:
  • Afternoon all, happy monday!

I've decided not to go to group, and put the money it would normally cost towards a gym membership. Will see how I go!

Unfortunately my home scales are slightly up on the ones at SW so this week I've gained 1.5lb (although only really 1/2 as I think they are 1 out)...

hi gang, today is day 2 of me following the red plan. So far so good.
There are still something's I'm unsure about.
Am I allowed swede & carrot on a red day? And any fruit?

Just don't want to go wrong anywhere cos I feel so bloated and yucky!

Incase anyone's interested, co op & tesco have the fry lights reduced to £1.75.

    Also

Co op and tesco have the alpen lights at £1 or 3 for £3
    Kindness costs nothing :)
