:T Scarlet, that's great to get rid of your holiday gain and more!

Please please give me any tips/ advice that you have, I can't bear the thought of regaining all I've lost and more :(

Hope you had a good time greenbeanie and don't worry about gaining on holiday it happens! 3lbs isn't really an awful lot with food around you all the time. I find the best way to get back on is to write a good meal plan for the coming week and then a shopping list to go with it. Try and make your meals as syn free as possible and buy loads of vegetables and fruit!!;) Then plan in what you want for syns whether it's a few chocolates or some Alpens or some wine or whatever you really enjoy. Perhaps a few ready meals if you think you might be busy and definitely stuff for lunches if you have to take it out with you. And keep posting!:)

Enjoy your mystery meal, maman. Where are you off to on your wee holiday?

We ended up in a lovely restaurant. You might remember it's one I've been to before, where they make a chip tower like Jenga. I'm sure they're cutting back as tonight I had 6 chips!:eek:I'm sure it was 8 last time I went. That was with steak, grilled tomatoes and a pile of watercress. Before that I had a tiny (in a ramekin) souffl! with smoked aubergine puree with a pear and (more) watercress salad. Rounded off with a lovely Shiraz Malbec.

Breakfast and lunch were SW friendly though:D.

I'm off to Malta for my break. 6 nights so can't do too much damage. Can I?

Amazing that this can be a HEB.

What's corned beef stew b-e-g? I've heard of hash but not stew.

CP, you'll be sick of cake by tomorrow. Try to draw a line and move on. It's done now. Enjoy your weekend and start fresh on Monday. If you do go to WI it might not have caught up with you yet but with a week seriously back on plan you'll sort it.

    Hi everyone :hello:

Weekly weigh in day before heading off to work

After last week's disappointment (STS) I'm thrilled to report 2lb gone this week and it's a significant one for me as it's 4 stone off since I started in January.:j

As I'm going it alone I never really set myself a target weight but now I feel another 9lb off (to reach 10.5) stone would do the trick as a realistic aim to target ... and ultimately maintain.

One thing that's strange, as far as I know no-one has noticed. No-one has said anything. I think that's because although I've had to sort out my clothes along the way I haven't change my image at all and I'm only wearing the same old stuff and the clothes that were already in my wardrobe but were too small.

Onwards and downwards I must not get complacent yet ~ still got 9lb to go ~ but wow :)

Sandhy – Well done, wow indeed! :T They will have noticed, their just plucking up the courage to say something! That’s a fantastic loss and amazing you only have 9lbs left to go. You must feel great! 10.5 was the lowest I got to and my original target. Oh to see that number again. You’ve sort of given me a kick up bum which I need. So thanks for that. At the minute I'd be over the moon if I saw 11 stone something again.
A chip tower Maman, sounds fab! Maybe their not cutting back but thinking of the customers waistlines! I doubt it lol. Malta sounds fab. Nice to get a wee bit of sun before we head full pelt no doubt into the winter!
Still have to dig out the swimsuit Counting Pennies and doubt that it fits. But I will.
Greenbeanie, that’s nothing after a week away on holiday. I’m struggling too at the minute. Just can’t seem to find my drive or motivation for it again.
Well done BEG for being good at the meeting! Very good!!:T You’ll be pleased to know more decluttering is on the agenda for the weekend.

    STS for me again:mad:

Looking forward to Strictly starting tonight.

    Morning :)

I've decided to change my WI day to Monday as that's when I started my food diary (and it hasn't made any difference yet :o).

That's brilliant, well done you. :T

I'm sure people must have realised you've lost weight, but it's annoying when you don't get positive comments. Now you're close to target, maybe it's time to re-think your style and treat yourself to some new clothes that will emphasise the new slim you. Something fitted and slinky!
    Hi all!

Very miserable me tonight. Today has gone drastically wrong. Been baking for 12 hours straight for Macmillan Coffee Morning tomorrow, so bascally ate nothing but cake mix and cakes all day. At 6pm I realised I'd eating nothing but that so threw a peperoni pizza in with the intention of eating a couple of slices. Ate the whole thing. Also ate pizza at work last night. I'm totally lost.

Chinese cancelled tonight as my friend has tonsillitis, so we going saturday instead. Sons birthday this weekend. Weigh day monday. The way I feel right now I won't be going.

Don't be too disheartened CP - try to put yesterday behind you, start afresh today and stick to plan over the weekend and you've got a good chance of minimising any damage done. Don't forget, we're all human and we have weak moments when we give in to temptation. The first challenge is to recognise it and the second is to move on.

Lantana - yay to Strictly!! And yay to Graham Norton!! Friday nights are back. :D

Maman - have a lovely time in Malta. The weather will be perfect at this time of year. :)

    B_e_g
    - well done for resisting the naughties.

    Have a good day everyone.

Haven't even decided on what we're having for dinner tonight yet!

Didn't get any breakfast as had to leave home at 7.30am to drive to pick up DH from work for a hospital appointment with the consultant about his wrists and thumb which have been bad for the last couple of years. His appointment was 9am and I finally got home at nearly 12.30, although I did grab a sandwich from the hospital shop and amazingly found a wholemeal egg salad sandwich with no mayo and just a very thin scrape of spread. So having that as my HEB and will count 4 syns as it was large slices not small.

I've got a beef borguigon in the the slow cooker and hoping I can persuade DH to have a veggie curry with rice tonight so I can have a Green day and save the beef for tomorrow night's dinner!

If I can persuade him with the curry then I can have some crackers & cheese for supper this evening!

Syns will be red wine - really looking forward to it as not any any wine this week since we got back from holiday (where we were drinking most days!).

Not sure if I'll get on over the weekend but if not have a lovely weekend everyone.

    Denise
  • Thank you Maman that's really helpful. I am aiming to be more organised as I know if I forget things for work lunch etc it's a recipe for disaster. This weeks been difficult as after coming back from India I've went straight back to work and dh had done the shopping and there was nothing really suitable for work lunch.

Planning on being much more organised this week. Meals have been ok today although I had to bake some cake for a school harvest festival thing and ate some :(

After two weeks of staying the same, I was pleased this morning with a 3lb lossthis week. Lots of veggies with each meal has done the trick. X

:T to sue and sandhy on your losses.

Hope you got your Green day denise. I've just discovered a coffee shop locally that does wholemeal bread so I'm saving that for if I need to eat in town. This past week I've bought 400g loaf for the first time in ages and DH is still giving me one slice at breakfast so I've got some to spare. need to go to £ shop and get Alpen Lights as that's probably my favourite 'half' HEB.

sandhy, it does take some time for people to notice and even then they're not sure whether to say anything. The people most likely to comment are those who haven't seen you for ages and then they're worried that it might not have been deliberate (like you're really ill or something). Personally I said nothing and kept it smugly to myself and then a nephew noticed and asked how. I started off telling people I'd done it through 'healthy eating' but now I do tell people about SW.

Had an off plan meal today but don't think it was too disastrous. SW breakfast (HEXs) then went to a restaurant that got its first Michelin star last week. So portions were small but fairly SW friendly. After 3 courses ate very little more today other than snacking on spring onion wrapped in ham this evening. I did have wine syns but on a Friday that's allowed!
