WI today with .5lb on! Not bad concidering! Had a trip out with kiddies so had to take bread rolls packed lunch. Finished off rolls next night for tea :(. Bit stuck in a rut at the moment, bit fed up with food if you know what I mean?
Have slept better this week as have invested in earplugs so son doesn't wake me up :D. Still a bit worried won't hear the alarm but so far so good.
Need some picky food to eat while watching rugby later as fed up with take away!!
Any ideas? Not necessarily sw as for others too.

Have a good weekend and enjoy the sun if you have it :D
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

Had weetabix with milk and plums for breakfast and a mugshot(1 syn) for quick lunch as had to rush out to shops.

Youngest is coming back tonight to be cheered up and has requested lasagne.

5% beef mince with tomatoes, mushrooms, onions and courgette and carrots is simmering as a base. I plan on making two versions- one with pasta sheets and one with thinly sliced courgette but may have to use a jar of white sauce (will only use a little over the top of the courgette version so hopefully not too bad)

Son in law is driving youngest home and he and dd are very busy so offered to put two portions in a foil dish that he can have as a meal tonight for them both.

Viewer coming to look at the house tomorrow so will dash round madly in the morning.

DD weighed in on Wednesday not long after eating a meal and was quite discouraged at the weight loss. I tried telling her to imagine she was standing on the scales holding a full plate of food in her hand and that I had read somewhere eating just before weighing could add about a pound. Hope this right as I can't find where I read it now. ;)

    Hugs to all

    Well done, Sandhy and Suewre.

We had a great holiday in Malta some years ago; wish I could stow away in your luggage, maman!

I have just endured a dreadful 0-0 draw tonight. The only good(????) thing to come out of it is that the club has a “no nil nils” promotion, which means we get to take a friend to another game, free of charge!

Syns bank: scrapped for this week – another dreadful day, SW wise.

    Saturday
    Breakfast: didn’t bother
Lunch: hexb roast beef , salad & beetroot sanwich
Dinner: stir fry noodles with prawns and cabbage, Scotch pancake (4 syns) with mixed berries & fromage frais
Snacks (choose from, but try to avoid those with syns): chocolate digestive (4 syns), 2 x Garibaldis (4 syns), hexa glass of milk

    Sunday
Breakfast: hexb porridge made with salt & water, piece of fruit
    Lunch: bacon, egg, tomato, beans
Dinner: at friends, so will have to eat what is offered
Snacks: hexa cheese & grapes, chocolate digestive (4 syns), 2 x Garibaldis (4 syns)

Looks like you're having an EE day so no need to make 2 different lasagnes. Just make a normal one with pasta sheets. You can add the courgettes which will give you extra Speed food.

With regard to your DD as long as she eats before each WI it doesn't really matter as the weight is all relative.

  • Hi everyone.
Longtime lurket here and very much appreciate all the tips and advice.

I had also used minimins in the past and now find its closed down! Where do people go for extra recipes etc without minimins? Or do you get everything here?

I have just returned from holiday so need to get back on track.

    Thanks

Aunty Cat - welcome to the SW thread.

If you have a look at the 1st post there is a list part way through with a list of links to recipes. The magazine can also be a useful resource for recipes. If you haven't done SW for a while it would be worthwhile reading the first couple of posts which outlines the plans.

Quite often people here post their menus and if there is something you like the sound of but haven't a recipe for then just ask!

Good luck with getting back on track.

Came on to post today's menu plan but noticed Aunty Cat needed a response so did that first.

    An EE day today:

    B - bacon & mushroom sandwich (HEB + 3 for spread & sauce)
L - LO root veg soup
D - roast duck breast, roast potatoes, roast veg, broccolli & green beans. May have a splash of gravy but as I never have more than a dessertspoonful I don't bother synning it.

HEA will be milk in tea throughout the day.

Not sure about other syns yet as don't know whether we'll be having wine tonight but certainly have the syns available for a glass or two if wanted.

Ending up not going to friend's 60th birthday do as DH had an injection into the joint at the base of his thumb Friday and he was in agony Friday night and didn't feel up to going so just had a couple of drinks indoors - probably means I saved some syns there (every cloud has a silver lining and all that:D).
