    Afternoon all

Sorry for the hasty posts this morning, I had intended to write more after doing the updates but I had one of those mornings with interruptions for lots of things and never managed to finish what I started.

I'm surprised that mincemeat is well looked on by SW. I read the recipe for baked apples the other day and an apple with a tbsp. of mincemeat can be a HEX.

That really surprises me for 2 reasons - cooked fruit or fruit adulterated in any way becomes synful, and mincemeat has suet:eek: and sugar in it so I'm surprised it can be considered as healthy when dried fruit isn't. I love a baked apple tho, and have to admit to having one yesterday with blackberries, it was gorgeous. (I didn't count the syns...).

  • Hi everyone, I hope you're all doing ok. I'm afraid I haven't read through all the thread as it's grown massively !!

I've just come back from a week long cooking holiday in India [COLOR[/COLOR]and I'm delighted to report that I've gained 3lbs

Which all things considered is great as I had just what I wanted to eat with no restrictions.

I could really do with some help now though. I just can't seem to get back on plan. This has always been a problem for me, I do well and then something happens to upset following the plan and I never get back on.

Please please give me any tips/ advice that you have, I can't bear the thought of regaining all I've lost and more :(

I'm already lean and i like to think of myself as fit but i've been doing training for the Cardiff half marathon and after running 6.2 miles yesterday my legs are like jelly :(

My usual exercise comes from dancing whick keeps you lean but doesn't give you stamina levels to do a marathon. Most of the people here i expect are doing a daily run so how do you keep the jelly legs away?
Are we???:eek::eek: I'm not, can't run to save my life :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Why is it frowned upon Mildred?? Surely its a good thing?? Especially if it works for you!

    Fab loss BEG :T:T:T

WEll I nearly fell off my comfy sofa when I read that :rotfl: can't remember last time I ran anywhere, get shin splints so not doing it :p.
I get leg pain walking long distances too. Short and sweet for me :D
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

  • Oh, lush, what a rotten time you’re having. Sending big hugs and positive vibes just for you.

Well done, Dia Pita and Scarlet.

    Thanks for being shala, Lois.

Enjoy your mystery meal, maman. Where are you off to on your wee holiday?

Regarding syns anomalies - I was reading a menu from a SW mag from some time ago and it listed half a tin of pears in juice as free; it was a red day menu, if that makes a difference.

Greenbeanie, I hope you can adapt your lovely Indian dishes to be SW friendly!

Thursday’s syns: macaroni cheese 8 and that’s all

  • Evening everyone

Well done to all our lovely losers :T:T:T and hugs to strugglers.

Had to go to meeting tonight where food (pies, quiche, crisps and sarnies) were provided - oh and bar was on. Picked up half of what looked like a Warburtons bun with ham and ate less than half of it and just finished off the ham - that appeared to be the least damaging. The wholemeal sarnies were egg mayo. Oh and I was driving so stuck to diet coke.

    Right today's eatings

    BREAKFAST - didn't happen

    MID MORNING - Cheese Mugshot

LUNCH - Fried and sliced tinned potatoes, baked beans, fried egg, mushrooms and slice of ham. Apple, satsuma and few grapes

TEA - Diet Ginger Ale Chicken (same recipe as Diet Cola Chicken) with tons of slight soft cherry toms thrown in and served with pasta. Satsuma and plum

SUPPER - Small bowl of corned beef stew and slice of wholemeal bread (800g loaf). M&S Yoghurt and Fruit Lolly. Milky coffee

    HEXA - milky coffee
HEXB - slice of wholemeal bread (800g loaf)

    Syns - Mugshot 1, Corned Beef 2.5, 1/4 warburtons white bun 2.5, spread/margerine 1, M&S yoghurt and fruit lolly 3.5 = 10.5 Syns

Don't think I will be too late out of bed tonight as I am absolutely shattered.

Catch up with you all tomorrow.

  • Hi all!

Very miserable me tonight. Today has gone drastically wrong. Been baking for 12 hours straight for Macmillan Coffee Morning tomorrow, so bascally ate nothing but cake mix and cakes all day. At 6pm I realised I'd eating nothing but that so threw a peperoni pizza in with the intention of eating a couple of slices. Ate the whole thing. Also ate pizza at work last night. I'm totally lost.

Chinese cancelled tonight as my friend has tonsillitis, so we going saturday instead. Sons birthday this weekend. Weigh day monday. The way I feel right now I won't be going.

Hope everyone else is doing well. Did you make it for a swim Latana??
