Ah thanks for sharing; I'm always looking for new ideas! Gill :)

You're welcome and here are today's offerings. Hope you pick up some ideas. Every now and again I like to get the SW recipe books out and other recipes that we have used in the past of some of the meals we have forgotten about.

    BREAKFAST - mixed fruit salad

LUNCH - CousCous with roast/stir-fried veggies (onion, mushrooms, peppers, carrots, courgettes, celery, grapes). Veggies were flavoured with caraway seeds, garlic, thyme and fresh ginger. Fresh pineapple and a plum for afters.

    AFTERNOON - apple

TEA - Roast chicken, roast potatoes, braised red cabbage with apple and onion, brussel spouts, cauliflower, brocolli, carrots and gravy. Sugar free jelly with slices of fruit (apple/satsuma/pineapple/plum and grapes) served with a dollop of sweetened ff yoghurt

SUPPER - 65g prunes (HEB) Pkt Asda Wholegrain Bites, Choc Options made with HEA milk

    Syns gravy 1, jelly 1, crisps 4.5 and options 2 = 8.5 syns

It will be the moment of truth in a couple of hours!

    EE day today:

    B - clementine - after WI
L - ham & salad sandwich (HEB + 1 for mayo instead of spread). Salad will consist of lettuce, tomato, cucumber, beetroot, pepper, spring onion, cornichon
D - baked chicken breast stuffed with garlic & herb soft cheese (2 syns) wrapped in lean bacon; potatoes, cauliflower, peas

HEA will be milk in tea throughout the day.

Back later with WI result! Hoping I'll be around top end of target range.

More decluttering done last night :T Had sort of forgotten about it but back on it again :D

Still have cheat night in my sights for tomorrow night.

Off for lunch with my Bestie and her lovely daughter on Saturday but that should be easy to make SW friendly. Just a caf! lunch.

In a good mood today, long may that continue. :rotfl:

I have been lurking on the thread and joined slimming world two weeks ago with older DD. We were not able to go to class last week
so last night was our first weigh in on the plan. While waiting to be weighed I told my daughter I would not be too disappointed if I only lost two or three pounds as I was trying to get my head round the new plan and training myself to look at food differently.

Basically that I was eating healthily and it was not a punishment but a way of being good to myself.

After all this justification I stepped on the scales - looked at them and my jaw dropped - I had lost nine pounds in two weeks
    :j:j:j:j:j

Breakfast today was plums and yoghurt.

Lunch will be either frittata with onions, mushrooms, tomatoes and a little bacon or the home made chicken soup with onions, carrots, leeks and celery in it.

Tonight will probably be dusted fish (2 syns) with peas and maybe a few SW chips.

HE will be ss milk for drinks and maybe slice wholemeal if I decide to have an open sandwich with soup.

I started off having a glass of wine for syns but found one became two or else I was not measuring properly etc. so am now having measure of gin poured over ice cubes in a tall glass topped up with diet tonic and a slice of lemon. It feels like a real treat and only about 3 and a half or four syns.

I have just sat down at the kitchen table and made a list of speed foods and also have a freezer with syn free fish, meat, fruit and veg to cover most eventualities.

Considering I had champagne on Tuesday night to celebrate DD's new job I can't believe the scales.

  • Well done Elona - fantastic result!
    Plan today is :-
    He a skimmed milk
    He b not sure yet
    B nectarine
L jacket pot with cottage cheese, salad and pickles
D veg and lentil casserole with sw chips, mullerlight
    Snacks, He b??? Babybels, grapes.

We have friends coming to stay at the weekend and although we will go out one evening, I have put a pork shoulder in the slow cooker to make sw pulled pork and a got a chicken that I can do as a Sunday dinner or with salad. They leave Monday morning so hopefully the damage can be limited as plenty of wine will no doubt be consumed.

Re footie – I have decided it happened in an alternative universe; a bit like Bobby Ewing coming out of the shower in Dallas, for those of you old enough to remember that guff!

Good luck for tonight, maman. I did see the Swansea score. We play again on Friday night – I’ll be watching through my fingers. Manager last night said 7 cross, 7 goals and, frankly, most of the goals we’ve lost this season have been like that, plus we’re struggling to score. I can see us plummeting down the league.

ETA fab score, maman :T and well done to tweets’ team too. :T I am well jealous, as they say. Also, I may have saved on wine gums syns on Tuesday, but delayed reaction set in and I went WELL OVER yesterday.:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad: No excuse – back on the bus today.

Good for you, candyapple and Matron.

Hi, elona. You’ve had a fab start, well done.

    Syns bank: 79
Wednesday’s syns: far, far, far too many!:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad: I’m deducting 40 (prob not enough but I lost track/the plot!)
    Syns balance: 39

    Wednesday
    Breakfast: tomato & herb omelette
    Lunch: Uchi Kuri squash soup
Dinner: macaroni cheese for DGS (8 syns – takes account of hexa cheese allowance), beetroot, spring onion, tomatoes
Snacks (choose from, but try to avoid those with syns): chocolate digestive (4 syns), 2 x Garibaldis (4 syns), hexb toast
I think I’ll be filling up on fizzy juice today. :o

“Tomorrow I intend to pretend today didn’t happen!” That didn’t work!:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

  • Not too good here; no voice today and not managed more than 2 cups of tea and a few chocolate fingers yet.

    Health: not great
work: really not good - interview on Monday so hoping that goes really well. Colleague who is technically a contractor but in a similar role to 1/3rd of what I do continues to be awful to me. The whole situation the business is in is dire just now...
home: everything alright but barely anything left until I'm paid tomorrow. One of bf's families dogs passed away today and I get to tell him tonight when I get home :/

    Bah to life today

Lunch: pasta salad - no syns, couple of little satsumas if I can

Tea: chicken supreme (homepride jar) with rice and mixed veggies. Not really counting syns today tbh head and heart not in it.

I'm not sure how the chart is getting updated in Shala's absence but could someone kindly put a 4lb gain on for me?:(
