Have a hug lush, sounds like you need it:grouphug:. I do hope you feel better soon and then it'll be easier to face all the other problems.

:T to elona and dia pita :T

I can't help noticing elona but your fish and chip meal doesn't have any Speed food. You'll probably get away with it as you've plenty at lunch and breakfast but peas don't count. What I do is put some tomatoes and mushrooms on a bit of foil in the oven alongside the chips for the last 10/15 mins.

I admire your will power with the G&T. I find it almost impossible to stop at one so I save syns for weekends instead. Lantanna, the wine store is looking very bare:o. Stock from last time Sainsbury's had 25% off is now used up. I'll think of you and your Chinese when I'm shopping. You're lucky to find a caf! doing SW friendly food. Around here, unless they do JPs it's all paninis or pizzas or stuff with chips.

Out to eat again this evening and friends will be choosing the restaurant so it could be anything. I'll report back later. I booked us a short holiday for next month yesterday and then had some wine syns to celebrate:o. If I'm to stay in target range I must take very opportunity to stay 'good' when I can. Next week looks promising except for Wednesday.

Hope you had good news at WI denise.

Thanks Maman - it was good news just! I'm 1/2lb inside top end of target with a 3.5lb gain over the last month (since I last weighed, including 3 weeks holiday) so not too bad.

Not away this weekend as going to a friend's 60th birthday bash tomorrow night so will try not to drink too much as it'll be quite a long walk home - probably about a mile with the last 1/4 mile uphill on an unmade road:(.

IT today was "the new member" talk while we had a taster for MacMillan - loads of cakes but I was very restrained and only had a mini meringue (0.5) and a scan bran mince pie - good flavour not a pie at all (1); a very small piece of tea cake (1.5) so a total of 3 syns. I didn't know anything about the taster as my friend who lets me know if anything's happening when I come back from holiday didn't think I was back to group until next week!

Well done Elona that's a great start to your SW journey.

    Denise
  • thanks Lois :)

Thanks maman, I just keep telling myself it will pass...eventually.
I do the same with tomatoes and mushrooms with quite a few of our meals :)

Thanks for the reminder about speed foods tonight.

I might just have the fish with mixed veg or green beans and then have some frozen berries with yoghurt.

Not too good here; no voice today and not managed more than 2 cups of tea and a few chocolate fingers yet.

    Health: not great
work: really not good - interview on Monday so hoping that goes really well. Colleague who is technically a contractor but in a similar role to 1/3rd of what I do continues to be awful to me. The whole situation the business is in is dire just now...
home: everything alright but barely anything left until I'm paid tomorrow. One of bf's families dogs passed away today and I get to tell him tonight when I get home :/

    Bah to life today

Lunch: pasta salad - no syns, couple of little satsumas if I can

Tea: chicken supreme (homepride jar) with rice and mixed veggies. Not really counting syns today tbh head and heart not in it.

I'm not sure how the chart is getting updated in Shala's absence but could someone kindly put a 4lb gain on for me?:(

Hugs lush hope you feel better soon.

That's a brilliant result after three weeks holiday!!:T and a NSV in that you still don't need to pay:D.

We had the new member talk for everybody last week. You've probably not had the time to read back but I disgraced myself by making shocked comments when our consultant told us she didn't eat veg and then compounded it by almost accusing her of child abuse if her children didn't eat veg either (which they do fortunately).

I'm surprised that mincemeat is well looked on by SW. I read the recipe for baked apples the other day and an apple with a tbsp. of mincemeat can be a HEX.

I live in an unmade road so always dodging puddles or covered in dust. It looks pretty, like a country lane, but not practical. It wasn't designed for today's traffic. Enjoy the party:).

:T on your STS tweets, especially you were unwell for part f the week. Are you still below your original target?
