    Morning all :)

I should be reporting the result of my weigh in this morning, but I forgot it was Friday! Will do it tomorrow.

Anyone watching Eat Well for Less? I couldn't believe the family they had on last night, their average weekly spend on food was over £300 for 3 adults and a child! They obviously didn't do any meal planning or make a shopping list because they were buying stuff they already had, like SEVEN blocks of cheddar, when they already had that amount in the fridge. They could have survived for months just on what they had in the cupboards already.

Maman - I bet you were popular with your SW Consultant. :rotfl: I think she was asking for comments though, she could easily have said fruit AND veg, even if it isn't true in her case.

What it does show though, is that there is flexibility in the plan and it can still work even if we don't follow it to the letter of the law. In the same vein, you could continue having your usual Puffed Wheat as a HEXB - if it's worked so far it shouldn't make any difference, and if you do find you have a gain you'll know that's the problem.

Shala - my DH gets like that when we're going anywhere. He's a perfectly good traveller so I've never understood why, but it starts a few days before we go anywhere without fail. I wouldn't mind, but it's me that does all the organising - booking, packing etc, all he has to do is load the bags into the car:rotfl:! Have a great holiday - where are you off to?

Mirry - hope your migraine has gone. Well done for resisting the junk food. :T

Duchy - your scales made me chuckle, wouldn't it have been funny if they'd gone in the other direction? You'd have thought your previous scales had been lying to you all the time.

    Have a good day everyone.

    Ha ! I wish :D

Another late start - Coffee with sweetner - but OH thought it was like the half sugar he used so it was awful. Thinking kippers for a late breakfast (another 2-11 shift today) or maybe porridge with yogurt then the kippers for a quick late lunch .

Sorry you’re still under the weather, tweets.

Thinking of grocery delivery mistakes reminds me that I once Tesco were out of strawberries so they sent me 500g steak mince! Well, I suppose it was sort of the same colour and the little bits of fat could be mistaken for the seeds on the outside of the strawberries!

You’re doing well, gocat, maman, candyapple, psycho and tweets.

Oh duchy, what a scare with the scales! At least it is so ridiculous you know they’re not right. If it had been 6lbs you’d be gutted!

maman, your consultant must be glad you don’t go every week!

Had a disastrous day today. First my dear old dyson gave a guttural few coughs, let out a whiff of smoke and passed away. So, unable to do any vacuuming, I went to clean the toilet. I was expecting a call so I had the house phone in my pinny pocket. It was banging aginst the bowl so I took it out and laid it on the sink – you’ve guessed it – and stood up and knocked it aoff and it bounced into the loo!

    Syns bank: 75
Thursday’s syns: hm sundried tomato and parmesan bread (8), choc digestive (4)
    Syns balance: 63

    Friday
Breakfast: hexb toast with hexa Philly light, sliced banana & cinnamon
Lunch: BE egg fried rice with cooked ham
Dinner: red pepper tortilla with crushed potatoes
Snacks (choose from): Walkers French Fries (4 ½ syns), WW cake (4 syns),

get your phone in a bag of rice and I have heard good reports of them working again :)

Hope you're feeling better and enjoying your little break tweets. very sensible to stay off until Monday and give yourself 4 days to rest up.

Your day sounds manic Shala, you'll need a holiday after this. Where are you going?

I'm sure you're glad to see Friday lantanna. I do a lot of work with disciplinaries and similar HR procedures and I know how stressful they can be for all concerned. Good that you got STS so you know you haven't done too much damage. Enjoy a restful weekend:).

I will finish off my current box of Puffed Wheat lois but might just as well buy the 'right' brand next time. I know I was harsh with my consultant yesterday especially suggesting that she was abusing her children:o but it was interesting that she was owning up to tweaking the plan. But then if it's to be sustainable as the 'plan for life' they like to go on about we have to make it work for us not the other way round. I've watched the Eat Well for Less programme and will catch up on last night's programme later. Remember the lady from Newport (too lazy to grate cheese) we thought was doing SW. It just proves that SW doesn't have to be expensive.

I need to do my meal plan and food shop today. Still got some off plan meals coming up so need to be super healthy in between. Jeans are feeling really tight this morning as although I made a wise choice of main (beef with green pepper and black bean) last night I had loads of extras that weren't wise at all.

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS Grapefruit, HEB porage, HEA milk
    L: lentil and veg soup
D: burger (1 syn), fried onions, tomato, mushrooms, peas, SW chips
Syns: squirt of syrup, squirt of HP sauce, weekend wine:D

I'm sure your not the first Maman and won't be the last who questions hear on her no veg policy! I do think its good though she didn't stand there and lie about what she eats. I no some do and would never admit to any tweaks or variances from the plan thought the clearly do. They preach the SW Way or the High Way.

Yep disciplinary meetings drain! Esp when its a colleague and your not happy with what the company is doing even though your not fussed on the person. Anyway time to move on.

I love the Eat well for less programme. I missed the one with the cheese lady and whenever I read Shala's comment that time about it, her being to lazy to grate cheese I thought she meant that she just threw a block of cheese onto the dish. Wasn't really getting it :rotfl:

I have to buy individually wrapped cheeses and slice cheese etc these days. I've given up buying blocks as it ends in disaster. I can take two slices out of a pack and leave it like that but can I measure and cut up a block - no I don't have the discipline too and I'm back at it.

I buy Babybel lights, Lidl Reduced Fat Slices, Tesco Half Fat slices and Low Low. I always just buy whats on offer and failing that its the one from Lidl. Cheese is my problem:mad:

I'm having HM BNS Soup for tea with a toasted crumpet. No cheese tonight!

Talking of Cereals I am going to try the Lidl Blueberry Wheats that are HEb soon.

Has anyone tried them? Still eating the Protiflakes here and there 30g. Can't say its done me any harm!
  • My consultant has just rejoined :/
God knows how long she hadn't been an actual member but I don't think she's lost in the 2 years ive been going?
Would rather be told the truth though personally - I don't like the stepford wife approach many consultants seem to front - my friends a consultant and I know he doesn't do the plan 100% but to his members he says he does it to the letter :/ annoying.

I'm in a spring clean mood today :/ need to sort out all minis clothes now for a charity bag I think cant be bummed selling it on Facebook anymore might as well put some good karma out into the world ...
Although last time I made an effort to be nice to the world I got pooped on spectacularly

A bin bag of 'treasures' removed from minis room and it looks no different :/

:rotfl::rotfl: We're off to Canada for a week.. should be fun (once we get there)..

Quite happy if you need to do more spring cleaning at mine Mildredd! i'm sure that classes as good karma;)

So i'm not going to be able to post the chart on Tuesday cos i'm not here.. I've set up a googledocs spreadsheet so you should all be able to update your own results and see the chart as it is, if you add your results in and then just shut the page down then it automatically saves.. no cheating though!! :naughty:

And if some kind soul will nominate themselves to work out SOTW then i'd much appreciate it...

Off to have a bit of a nap, got a banging headache that I can't get rid of... packing will have to wait..

Ooooh Canada shala, how adventurous. I do hope you have a great time. We're hoping to have a little break next month but need to think of where and what will fit in with the only dates we have:).

That's the perfect way to describe it:D. I hate myself when I start clapping like a performing seal!

Have you read Marie Kondo's book The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up? Some of her ideas are a bit airy fairy but I find it quite cathartic. It's still a work in progress here but am getting rid of lots of 'stuff'.

Enjoyed my soup for lunch. I thought I'd run out but found a portion in the freezer, must make more now weather's cooling down.

Meal plan and food shop done. I'm going to try an adapted version of this

tomorrow as I saw him do it on his programme earlier in the week. They had boneless, skinless chicken thighs in my Aldi but no kippers. Also Lazy Garlic and Frylight on special.
