So my consultant has lost 6+ stone by just eating fruit and no veg!! (Did you hear that wiz). Apparently she has a fruit salad (of the 4 or 5 fruits she does eat) before every meal which equates to at least a third and she thinks stops her from being too greedy on the protein/carb only meal she's having. Interesting.
My friend goes to slimming world with me and is an even fussier eater than me (I'm pretty fussy!) and basically eats no veg. She eats a piece of fruit whilst she prepares a meal I think, and eats fruity breakfasts and is really good with fruity snacks. Fruity snacks aren't always speed, she likes grapes a lot. Also shes well behaved and sticks to her syns (including on weigh in day!) and if she has too much one day will compensate rest of week etc. Don't think she really does SP days but she does zumba at least once a week.
She has never not lost any week. Not even has a STS. She has now lost nearly 5 stone. She wants to lose another 4 but in all honesty I think losing more than another 2 she'd be too skinny!Trying to lose weight (13.5lb to go)0 -

(late) breakfast porridge and yogurt )even later) lunch muffin with smoked salmon and Quark dinner will be spag bol debating if I'm going to grate cheese on it and bring my syns for the day up to 13.5 or leave it off and just have a muffin syn of 7.5. Milk for coffee from allowance HBa and sweetener - scary to think just the sugar I could have put in my coffee would put my syns over for the day.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

Getting stressed with the weekend coming, I know it's going to be a struggle staying on plan which will make me miserable which will stop me enjoying whatever we are doing. This is when I hate being on a plan no matter how flexi it can befingers crossed I can make good choices where I can!

Sorry you’re still under the weather, tweets.
Thinking of grocery delivery mistakes reminds me that I once Tesco were out of strawberries so they sent me 500g steak mince! Well, I suppose it was sort of the same colour and the little bits of fat could be mistaken for the seeds on the outside of the strawberries!
You’re doing well, gocat, maman, candyapple, psycho and tweets.
Oh duchy, what a scare with the scales! At least it is so ridiculous you know they’re not right. If it had been 6lbs you’d be gutted!
maman, your consultant must be glad you don’t go every week!
Had a disastrous day today. First my dear old dyson gave a guttural few coughs, let out a whiff of smoke and passed away. So, unable to do any vacuuming, I went to clean the toilet. I was expecting a call so I had the house phone in my pinny pocket. It was banging aginst the bowl so I took it out and laid it on the sink – you’ve guessed it – and stood up and knocked it aoff and it bounced into the loo!

Very sad news about your Dyson. My DH loves his. We have two, one for upstairs and one for downstairs and his 'third best' was donated to DD1. It might be worth seeing if you can get parts/get it repaired. I'm just passing on information as vacuuming isn't my job here:D.
psycho, have you thought of trying a syn bank and saving up syns for the weekend? Like you, I need the weekend to be different from a weekday so I save my syns so I can have wine in the evenings and make it special. Personally I can eat quite well during the week on very few syns. Worth a try?
selement, sounds like your friend is doing much the same as my consultant if she eats fruit before her meal rather than having veg with it. Of course there are people who lose on a 'wrong' version of SW just because they eat less than before. Consultant also made a point of talking about measuring HEXs especially milk and cereal.0 -

Your week sounds a bit stressful lantanna, hope you managed to get to the gym for a little wind down time!
I'm in stress city at the minute - i'm not a good traveller at all so i'm very anxious about going on hols on Saturdayi've got a dodgy tummy and yesterday a massive coldsore came up on my face so that'll make for attrative sight seeing photos :rotfl:
Busy day today so just going to grab what i can to eat, at work this morning, then got to pack, go to hairdressers to get hair put back in, clean the house (:( hate cleaning), pop to the shops for kitty food, take up some jeans, sort out the fridge/cupboards for stuff that'll go off while we're away and then hopefully sit down about 10.. i know thats probably a normal day for some but it's a hectic one for me
Right off to do all the work i have to do before i leave for the week :j

What was the hair away doing Shala? :rotfl:
Oh Greentiger that sounds rubbish, both my sister and my brother in law dropped their phones down the toilet within a few days of each other :rotfl:
Decided to weigh in the end and happy to get a sts after a thoroughly unorganised week. Thought it best to know where I am and thankfully it wasn't a gain so I'm not annoyed.
Hopefully now I can get myself sorted and get a loss next week.
Have no socialising plans this weekend involving food or alcohol.
I am so so glad to see Friday! Lots to do this weekend including exercise, housework, getting myself organised and relaxing!!
Not a big rugby fan usually but think I will watch the opening ceremony tonight and I've sort of fallen in love with James Haskell so I will sky plus later for relaxing later.
Still haven't been to the gym but def going tonight after work.0
