  • Welcome to the thread clays am your loss is an inspiration :)

Thank you for the chart shala, I can't believe I'm SOTW :D

I can report -2lbs for this week.

I won't be around for weigh in next week as I'm off on my holidays. I'm dreading the outcome of that as it's a cookery tour of North India!! Having said that it looks as though it's around 42 degrees there so perhaps I shall sweat everything off!

:j:j for everyone having NSV. How amazing to be getting into clothes you have not be able to wear for a while.

Greenbeanie hope you have a lovely holiday it sounds wonderful. I love indian cuisine and lived there for 3.5 years which was amazing.

Welcome Karren hope you enjoy the thread.

Oh lantanna sorry to hear you have such a horrible star month!!! Hope your appt with the gynae is soon and they can give you a solution.

Okay day again for me today:

Breakfast: mushrooms on toast with ham, tomato and cheese
lunch: chicken, tomatoes and cucumber, yoghurt
dinner: SW meal - chicken chow mein (one of the iceland frozen ones) It tasted okay but I added in my own prawns as I felt it was a bit light on protein. The sauce was tasty enough but very watery. Handy as a standby though.)

That's good to have a loss before your holidays:T. Enjoy your trip and then sort out any gains when you return.

I'm loving the NSVs with the clothes. I regret not keeping a few more bits from when I was thin before but I do have a lovely, waisted velvet coat that I kept and now does up so well.:D I'm thinking I might buy a trench coat style mac as I'm so pleased at having a waist!

I've been out all day and was going to be very good at lunchtime but they'd run out of JPs!:( So probably had hundreds of syns and may well do the same tomorrow. But I'm going to have SW meals in between so that should limit the damage. Another plus was going to a coffee shop with a lovely garden because of glorious weather instead of a pub/restaurant so no wine syns were consumed.

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS Grapefruit, HEB porage, HEA milk
    L: Panini
D: savoury mince, new potatoes, carrots, cabbage
    Syns: lots:o

The decluttering is still going on in my house.

Well done on the decluttering lantanna - things have slowed down here while the decorating and stuff has been going on but I really need to sort a couple of coats on fleabay to make room for some new ones :rotfl::rotfl:

    Morning all :)

Had a lovely meal out last night, suffice to say it was definitely not on plan, although there was plenty of speed food. The main course came with salad and new potatoes and the salad took up half the plate, it made a change from the usual amount that's really no more than a salad garnish.

Had a great NSV* too - I wasn't sure what to wear and decided I'd try on my white jeans out of curiosity, and they fitted! It reminded me of the cropped trousers that I was celebrating getting into earlier in the year, and I realised I haven't worn them at all this summer. They are quite smart so I wouldn't wear them at work, and whenever we went out somewhere that involved dressing a bit smarter, it wasn't warm enough to wear them. We're going to friends for Sunday lunch so I may put them on then. It felt great to be dressed up last night and I realised how much of a rut I'm in, always wearing the same things.

I'm right there beside you on the naughty step! Day One today and determined to undo any damage done.

Pleased you enjoyed your meal out Lois and fingers crossed we are both back on it tonday ;). My only naughty so far is a quarter of a buttered scone in M&S that I shared with DH. Uptil I had that I had been syn-free and since then I have had around 2.5 syns worth of corned beef so I don't think I will be too far over. Great result with the white jeans. :T This is the first time I have worn white jean/jeggings in an awfully long time - deliberated for a long while over whether or not I was too old for them now :rotfl: Today I have been out in mustard coloured jeggings and am considering this floral coat from Sainsbobs. :D

    Well done, teallach and Greenbeanie.

maman and b_e_g, I never weigh in between WIs – I think I’m too scared to see an increase! Today’s NSV came when DGS was here after school. He was having a snack and I took a Freddo too.:mad: Don’t know why I did that. I don’t know why, but it’s still lying out in the kitchen :A – writing this I can actually smell it and taste it and it’s too cloying and sweet and I can’t stand the thought of eating it! Am I going nuts? BTW, talking of Freddos, does anyone know how our wee green Frogga is doing?

I have lots of pairs of jeans, all size 18, but only one pair of leggings, which are reserved for the really serious housework days (not worn that often then, he he).

Good news about your mum, b_e_g, but a cortisone injection – is that not really painful? No wonder she’s inclined to steer clear of medics in future.

A friend has passed an actifry on to me because she didn’t have room for it! I haven’t tried it yet – because I don’t have much room either!!! It is huge!

Hello, karren, glad you’ve chosen to join us.

I am soooooo jealous, Greenbeanie – your holiday sounds amazing!

Well done on your loss Greenbeanie :T Enjoy your holidays and whatever damage happens you will definitely sort it when you get back. ;)

Hope you are feeling better soon TIE.

I feel for you lantanna with your gynae problems. When I was going through horrible stuff, life became one big star week . Thankfully all that is behind me now and I hope you get something sorted soon.

I have been wondering where our little green friend is too greentiger. It sounds as though your hypnosis do-dah has had effect thinking about the Freddos :D. When I called into Mum this morning she said that her knee was feeling quite comfortable and she'd had a reasonable night's sleep. However ... when I called in tonight after our shopping trip she seemed to be in pain and she has quite a high pain threshold so I think only time will tell. Yes, the injections themselves are quite painful - I had one in my heel last year but was well worth it. In fact my Mum and brother have had them in their heel too so I think it must be a family thing. :rotfl: Oh, forgot to say, I go a letter from drs today inviting me for a flu jab - they are giving them to patients over 65  - I've still got another 9 years to go til I get there :rotfl: Have to go for blood tests in the morning so I will ask them what they are playing at. Mum thought it was quite amusing :p

My s-i-l was getting rid of her Actifry and I considered buying it off her as it was like new but decided we just did not have the space for it. My SC has to sit on the worktop and we turn the lid upside down and use it as a bit of a fruit bowl (keep a little bit of fruit out to ripen and rest in fridge) :D

Well I have rabbited for long enough tonight so I will not bore you all any longer.

Not sure if this link works:
    http://www.homeandcook.co.uk/79/slimmingworld

I found it via the SW site so it may only work if you have access to the site.

It's strange b-e-g how confident you get wearing colours once the weight starts to go. I suppose it's all about feeling better about yourself and not needing to hide any more. When I was fat I seemed to dress in black from head to toe with just the occasional coloured jacket or scarf. When I started buying from the CS to see me through the changing dress sizes I started experimenting with colour too. The parka isn't that expensive and would certainly be cheerful in the coming months.

I'm struggling a bit at the moment but we have so many birthdays and things this month it's no surprise. I suppose we all long for a straight run at SW but RL has a habit of getting in the way. I've resolved to just do a beanie and keep plodding through eating on plan whenever I can. If I stay in range it will be an achievement. Out for lunch (AGAIN!) tomorrow and I don't know where I'm going so can't plan. It'll be SW breakfast and dinner though.
  • For those asking about frogletina, she posted on another thread a little while ago about her son being in hospital.Maybe this is keeping her busy for now.
