Thanks, maman, I appreciate it. I’ll be trying out the singing swede too, soon. Hope you had a tasty meal tonight (and no washing up!).

Thanks for the suggestion, b_e_g. There are no shops never mind a chemist in our village. None of the chemists in the nearest (very small) town have scales. When I do go to do a ‘big’ shop it’s an out of town site, not even a retail park. I changed the battery last week in our scales as that sometimes affects how they behave. Ho hum, I’ll survive I’m sure, and I will keep on doing SW because it will have an impact eventually. I’m actually surprised that I didn’t feel like throwing the towel in – feeling positive. Great news re your mum’s scan,

That’s brilliant, saver, Pennies, b_e_g, orlao and spuddy.

    Well done, Greenbeanie.

    Hope you’re feeling better, wiz.

Maisie posted, "Lorne Sausage is a square sausage" - except to confuse the issue, it isn’t actually square, ha ha! BTW, in our house it's'square sausage' lol.

    Syns bank: 95
Tuesday’s syns: I have been naughty. I made bread (I do this regularly) and it was white and it was very, very, very tasty. (18 syns) and butter (7 syns) I also had 2 WW cakes (8 syns)
    Syns balance: 70

    Wednesday
Breakfast: bacon, egg, mushrooms & tomatoes
Lunch: out for lunch – this is likely to be naughty, but I’ll try to choose wisely
    Dinner: chicken salad hexb sandwich
Snacks (choose from): hexa cheese & grapes, banana, Milbona fat free yogurt

Been visiting my friend in hospital tonight for the first time – she’s been in ICU for almost 2 months having contracted Guillaine Barre syndrome, which left her paralysed apart from eyelids for much of this time. She has been on a ventilator and had a tracheostomy – finally removed at the weekend. Movement coming back to her arms and she can wiggle her toes too. I had to share this because it makes me so happy.

I am still (in spite of my shortcomings) ready and raring to go for a new week!

Your clothes will probably be a good test of how things are going greentiger too. I think at times we pay too much attention to the numbers on the scales (says the person who probably jumps on the scales most days :o but a long time ago it would have been several times in one day so it is an improvement of sorts ;))

It sounds as though your friend will have a long road to make a full recovery but delighted that she has started to make that journey - such a worrying time for your all. My thoughts are with you all. It really makes you sit up and be thankful for all the good things we have and there is always someone in a far worse situation than ourselves.

Looks a very dull miserable day here again today :(. Going down to drs to try to get Mum an earlier appt with the dr that sent her for scan. If I ring at 8.30 it will probably be constantly engaged for 10-15 mins so I think I will go and have a bit of face to face with them as I sometimes find it easier to do that. They're not a bad bunch really :D

Hope you all have a good day.

2lb loss this week for me please Shala.

Tad disappointing as I'm only half a pound off my half stone, but that should keep me motivated for the week ahead anyway!

    Welcome Claysam!

Just keep trying Lush, that's all you can do!

Star week has landed here so feeling

Work people would be best to stay away from me today. Especially when they are behaving like idiots as usual.

    That Stew sounds great Saverupper

Hugs to those with sick friends and relatives.

I saw someone this morning who last saw me a few weeks before I had my operation. They said How are you feeling and in the same breath I can see your looking great anyway. Hooray for a NSV!!

    Hi all :)

Thanks for the chart Shala, well done Greenbeanie for SOTW and well done everyone else, some great losses this week.:T

Welcome Claysam - great result so far. :j

I don't know what's the matter with me, I've lost the plot this week, I need to be put in prison to stop me eating. I think it's because of last week's gain, after I'd felt like I'd had a good week, but all I'm doing now is heading for another gain to compound the first one. :o DH and I are going out for a meal tonight so I'm going to give myself the day off and start afresh tomorrow with Day One.

    Have a good day everyone.
