:T to greenbeanie, dubbya and lulu for losses and you too shala!
tweets I think you should stick to the chips and curry sauce, you lose with that.;)
And greenbeanie, I think you'd best just go and enjoy your tour of India. Obvious things to avoid are bhajis and naan and maybe stick to small portions. What a fabulous trip.:)
lush, I'd stick with what the surgery scales say. Would they be willing to weigh you every week?;) Shame about the kiev as you were looking forward to it. You'd be better off doing chicken wrapped in bacon or with Philly then you'd know the syns. I see you're adding yogurt to your chilli. Cottage cheese is really nice with chilli too in place of sour cream. I've always got some in so I use that.
sue, chick peas don't count as Speed veg but they do count as protein so very good for you.
This is the recipe that b-e-g posted.
Austrian Ham and Potato Hash - syn free on ee - serves 4 (or 2 greedy so and so's)
Frylight
1 onion, roughly chopped
2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
4 celery stalks, roughly chopped
2 x 300g cans peeled new potatoes in water, drained and roughly chopped
340g can lean ham, roughly chopped
1 tsp caraway seeds
1 tsp sweet smoked paprika
2 carrots, coarsely grated
175mls chicken or veg stock (we used 150mls)
handfuly fresh flat leaf parsley finely chopped
Spray large frying pan with frylight and place over a medium heat. Add onion, garlic, celery and pots and stir-fry for 6-8 mins or until lightly browned.
Stir in the ham, caraway seeds, paprika, carrots and stock and cook for 6-8 mins or until the veg are tender and most of the stock has been absorbed.
Scatter over the parsley, stir well and serve immediately.
Top each portion with a poached or fried egg.
I tweaked it a bit. I added sliced mushrooms and used my own potatoes cubed and almost cooked with thinly sliced carrots. I used cumin instead of caraway and added 15g of chorizo as I only had a small tin of ham. Instead of serving it straight from the pan I put it in a dish and reheated in the oven. Then I served it with veg on the side instead of eggs as my DH doesn't eat them.I am going to be good this week will make my own curry and chips

Greenbeanie1 wrote: »Shall for what it's worth I think you've made the right decision. I have to say now I'm weighing at home and doing SW I have a much healthier attitude towards weigh ins. I used to get so worried about going and would stop eating and drinking from lunchtime onwards before my evening class:eek:
Now I weigh first thing in the morning with no clothes on so there's no excuse that I've got heavier clothes on etc. and then I can just get on with the rest of the day. I also used to have the night 'off' after weigh in and often had a takeaway or chocolate and the attitude used to last several days sometimes!
Thanks... we were like that, OH only used to eat fruit on weigh in day and I used to stop drinking at 2 and only eat ryvita for lunch!
Silly really but I think you get yourself into a pattern that's hard to let go of.:(
Don't hang your head in shame Tweets, you have done brilliantly and are below target so what's 4lb *pah* you'll have lost that next week

It gets worse,greentiger.
Today was my son's first day at secondary school. You just want it all to go smoothly,no hitches,no embarrassment.
He is my second child,so it is not as if we are not familiar with the school. They do have a strict school uniform policy (not a private school-a newish Academy, with a very strict uniform policy.Think blazers and ties for all, long sleeves for all,no pleats in skirts, etc).Today my son text me and said that his shoes are considered to be trainers, and not acceptable footwear:
http://www.charlesclinkard.co.uk/search/air-suffolk
When I collected him after school,a few kids had been corrected on footwear.it is not necessarily that they are velcro (my initial thought).Apparently makers are manufacturing trainers that do look like school shoes, and so are able to charge school shoe prices for them.
I don't think the staff in the store knew they are considred trainers either, because i was there with 4 kids being fitted for "school shoes",AND separate to that, the lady serving me was there when I turned to my son and asked if he needed some trsiners as well as these.
So,with them having been worn,I am now the proud owner of an unreturnable, unusable ,un-needed pair of shoes, worn for one 7 hour school day.£48,thank you very much!!:(SPC #36 :staradminx 8.SPC7=£751.10 SPC8=£651.04 SPC9=£843.00 SPC10=£872.76
