Thank you for all the kind words, you are a lovely lot, I don't know w hat I would do without this thread.

I feel much better today and the panic attacks seem to have stopped, thank God, they are nasty, and although I don't find them as scary as I did because I know what they are and can breath through them and deal with it they are quite terrifying for other people as seems very similar to a heart attack, so I stay in and avoid people.

Anyway have given myself a kick up the bum for letting tis affect me
and told myself I am more than a match for a patronising bossy housing officer and have prepared myself a list of questions for her. I don't think they handled the matter well at all and will be looking for an assurance that this will not happened again. They have my daughter as an emergency contact she also has spare keys but they said there was no reply well their wouldn't be as she was at work . They also had my mobile number but used an old one, despite my having recently given them the new one. They said they had spoken to several of my neighbours and yes they have and I am not happy about some of the questions they asked, i.e.am I a good neighbour. Having been told by one that he thought I was fine had a new Man and was probably off enjoying myself they asked for a description and his car number. That's out of order and not allowed. So should be an interesting appointment.

Anyway have a nice weekend to look forward too, the Man is coming tonight and we are off to my great nephews 18th Birthday party tomorrow, the plan was he would stay a couple of days and then I would go back with him but cant now due to housing officer appointment on Wednesday. Quite looking forward to that now lol.

OMG!! Hope you enjoyed that binge CP. I'm all for using syns but it has to be worth it. I suppose we're all different. IMO 25+ syns on a bottle of wine is fine but others might prefer a big bar of chocolate. That's the great thing about SW, our choice;).

Enjoy the party meg. Glad you're feeling less stressed. It sounds like, in the name of protecting you, housing people are invading privacy and throwing common sense out of the window. I do hope they apologise for going OTT and not keeping contact details up to date.:(
  • Thanks Maman I wish I could say I enjoyed the sandwich but I didn't. However the poptarts were worth every bite. Lol.

I'm ill, again! Lost my voice. My chest and throat is killing. Only just finished a course of antibiotics the other day too. So feeling very fed up.

On the plus side, its my halloween party tomorrow, and I can't drink when I'm not well so the syns I would have spent tomorrow will be saved.

    CP xx

Well done sandhy, look forward to hearing about your next shiny:T.

I've done my meal plan and shopping list for the week and off to Aldi shortly. I'm trying to eat from the freezer to clear some space so having quite a high syns sauce tonight. Worked out that oil, honey, sherry and some cornflour:eek: would be about 5 syns each portion using my smallest tablespoon;). Thank goodness the soy and vinegar are free!

I noticed that the pulled beef in Bourbon sauce is a weekend offer in Lidl. If I can (and they don't run out) I'll try and get there tomorrow as there are some other bits I need. It's 1.5 for the whole pack. I think it was b-e-g who tried it. I'm still cross with Tesco for changing the recipe on their BBQ pork.

    Today's EE menu:
B: NAS Grapefruit, kippers, HEB bread, HEA milk for drinks
L: JP with LO sausage free casserole
D: Sweet and sour pork casserole (carrots, onions, beansprouts, pepper) with rice
Syns: scrape of spread, 5 for sauce, weekend wine:j.

Ooh the pulled beef sounds lovely, may have to try that. Are there any lists of low-syn pre-prepared foods like that? At the minute I'm having to go to shops, look for things that look potentially ok, and then look up syn value, which is OK most of the time but led to a bit of a frustrating visit to Asda last night when I was just looking for something easy to throw in the oven. For the most part I'm trying to cook things from scratch, but it would be nice to have some go-to items that require little effort on my part!!

:hello: Sorry I haven't been around for a few days, have barely even opened the laptop. Reporting a 1.5lb weight loss for this week. I really wanted 2 but a loss is a loss!

Going to set my challenge target to 14.5lb please Shala. That's 2lbs per week plus that pesky half pound that should have gone today. May be a bit ambitious but going to give it a go! Then my Christmas present will be my 1.5 stone shiney. :D

We had 50 people at group today, you can tell it's 7 weigh-ins until Christmas!

    Afternoon all,

I'm so annoyed - don't know what I've done but the back of neck and right shoulder going down to my upper back is agony! It feels like I've strained something or pulled a muscle but I can't think what I would have done to cause it.

Turning my head is difficult as is tilting my head forward, I've not felt this bad since I tore a muscle in my neck about 20 years ago. Needless to say I feel miserable and wonder if I'll be able to enjoy my planned night at the cinema tonight.

All I can do I reckon is dose up on pain killers and and try to ignore it. Don't think there is much my doctor can do about it.

Sorry to rant, just feeling sorry for myself and need to vent!
