Hi All,
things still aren't amazing herework situation is pretty dire - applying for things pretty much everyday now! but things at home seem far more settled and we had a few days away at the caravan doing not a lot which was nice.
reporting a recent loss of 3lb but that's over a couple of weeks (and according to my scales - no idea how accurate they really are!)
Shala please can I join the new challenge with a target of 10lbs which would take me back down in to the next stone bracket
Much more focussed. Tight month with bf's 30th(!) birthday as I've spoilt him a bit but I rarely get the chanceit will be pizzas, wedges and cake on the day for tea as I have his family coming round
Anyway; past two days I've done really well for a change! Crumpets have been a welcome treat shared with wonder bairnand lots of syn free snacking!
Tomorrow:
breakfast: bacon, tomato, beans, grilled mushrooms (networking event) and coffee!
lunch: will bring syn free soup in plus hard boiled eggs, fruit and fish sticks. doubt I'll eat it all but it pays to be prepared
tea: not 100% sure yet. I am expecting left over casserole (syn free) as I'll give bf/wb something of their choice.

Oh pants just bought and ate an Apple Struddle one to try it!! Wasn't that great! How many syns have I just ate??
Me too! Not seen them before and thought they sounded nice so bought one. Don't think I'll be buying them again though. It was OK but probably not worth wasting syns on them.

:T to denise, elona, tweets and lush on your losses since I last posted!!:D
Good to see you back posting lush, and a loss is a loss so be pleased with yourself.
CP, forgive me if I've said this before, but the sort of menu you posted could easily be Green as there's no meat and limited Speed. On days like this you could have an extra HEA and HEB if you wanted and so if you do have to eat toast or Shreddies in an emergency then they don't need to be synned.
Hope you're feeling a bit better meg. I'd find it very intrusive if someone came into my home and told me to tidy up. Is this allowed? What's she hoping to achieve?
No problem with a little hit of 70% lantanna. I find it's just right for that comforting feeling when I settle with a cuppa of an evening. Not sure if you have Aldi, but I have half of a small bar from their packs of 5 so about 3.5 syns, similar to a fun size Crunchie.
Good feeling slipping down into target range denise and with a good loss. Well done.:) May I ask about 'Rounders'. It sounds like a hotpot to me and tasty but cheaper than using lamb. When you layer the veg and mince, do you cook the mince first? In a sauce? Is it things like onions, carrots, mushrooms in the layers? I'd like to give it a try.
We're having sausage casserole tonight but not my usual 'adult' Tana Ramsay one but the cowboy sort I haven't made since my DDs were at home. For some reason I got 3 sausages out of freezer when I always package them in fours so there must be a pack of 5 somewhere! I'm sure they'll be fine cut up with some bacon. Will snack on a pear as Speed looks a bit low.
Today's EE plan:
B: NAS Grapefruit, HEB porage, HEA milk
L: lentil and veg soup, slice of ham, 2 tomatoessausage casserole (onion, celery, mushrooms, baked beans) with tagliatelle
Syns: squirt of syrup, tbsp. cornflour, 1.5 syns for sausages0 -
Thank goodness there was no syns, there was nearly a Riot lol
Nope no Aldi or Morrisons here for us, we are deprived lol.
I get the JD Gross from lidl its 3.5 per large square. The norm is to break it into tiny bits so it lasts a while.
Off to the gym tonight. Already the "just give it a miss" voices are starting in my head lol, they'll torture me the whole way there but I really must go!
If I go tonight then I can go straight home on a Friday night and I'd much prefer that.
Decided on the humble beans on toast tonight heb & hea for the cheese after the gym.
Anybody got any good turkey mince recipes?0 -
Hi Shala - Thanks for doing the chart, can you put me down as 1/2lb loss for the final week please. A little bit disappointed as thought had been pretty good, wonder if it was the 1/2 bar of white lindor, the Happy Hour Caipirinha's or the sweet potato fries that was the culprit ! Still, busted my challenge goal, and hopefully back on track this week as no outings planned:A.
Can I also join the new challenge with a target of 10lbs please, which would take me to my club10.
Congrats to everyone who lost on the Halloween challenge - here's to the next one:T.
Thanks, K0 -

It is a bit like a hotpot. I use whatever veg I've got in the fridge. I used onions, carrots, mushrooms, aubergine & courgette, topped off with potato slices.
I cook the mince & chopped onions in stock (I used the new Tesc* one yesterday - red wine!) before putting it in the dish. I also cook the carrots as they take ages to cook otherwise. It took about 90 minutes yesterday.
