My little dog is gone 2 years this weekend and I always like to remember her on here. animal0060.giflove0001.gif Missed but definitely not forgotten!

I have also just realised that it was 2 years ago this week that I got my 4 stone cert and I have lost and kept off well above that for 2 years now :D That is good and something to be proud of especially after the year I have had.

Chocolate syns planned for Friday as a reward for doing 6 days without it so have to decide carefully what I am having as there won't be anymore for another week. Maybe a crunchie

Hello Shala, and fellow SW peeps. I have been following your challenge and thread for some time, and I'd like to step up and take part in the new X-mas challenge.

May I take this opportunity to say "thanks" to all of you who spend time helping us that ask, for my part it is much appreciated.
    Thanks
    Arkers x

What a kind post arkers and welcome to the next challenge:).

:T to maisie, midge and shala on your losses.

I think how we approach Christmas can depend on where we are on the weightloss journey. If you've lost loads or at target then meals out or holidays are just a blip. If you've just started then it can be depressing if most of what you've lost gets wiped out. Personally I plan to enjoy celebration meals and parties, almost definitely go over syns but try to be 100% SW in between. I find Christmas itself easy with roast dinners, cold meats, pickles, SW chips etc it's the nibbles parties leading up that are a problem. Maybe on days in between I'll have some SP meals.

That toad in the hole sounds a good compromise shala. The syns in the batter are bound to be less than phoning for Dominos or whatever.

I'm sure he's not forgotten.:) You're doing really well lantanna and it must be a great feeling that now you have no health issues looming on the horizon. Full of admiration for the time you put into cooking and organising yourself, it must be very tempting on your own to just eat...three packets of crisps!;)

We've got football tonight so I'll be having a half Crunchie. Not sure about dinner as I'll be on my own as DH is meeting me at the ground.

    Today's EE menu:
B: NAS Grapefruit, baked beans, HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks
L: LO lamb casserole with extra veg
D: SW chips, egg, mushrooms, tomato?
Syns: scrape of spread, half Crunchie
  • Hi everyone

Its a STS for me for this final week of the challenge. I was naughty this week and went over on my syns twice (quite majorly as well) so I'm quite surprised it's not a gain. Well done to beanie and horseykaz SOTWs :T and thanks shala as always for the chart. I missed out on my target this challenge but I'd like to go for another 7lbs please for the next challenge.

It's a horrible drizzly day here, we've just been shopping then for a pub lunch - a hugely off plan burger and wedges. We ordered a big bowl of salad to go with it which made me feel a bit more virtuous :A I'm now so stuffed that I don't think I'll be eating anything for tea so it wasn't all bad :D

Hope you all have a great week

I'd swap crisps for Red wine and an Indian Maman!

Talking of Christmas Arkers the first year I was doing SW I was pretty good and just had Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years off. I was really focused on losing and put on 3 lbs over the 2 weeks over Christmas. Year No 2 I'd really pushed hard to lose my final half stone and so went a bit off the rails over xmas and gained half a stone. I sort of went on a mission to eat lots of things I hadn't had in a long time. Looking back I had really deprived myself from a lot of things for most the year and so its no wonder and then I got sick so I am still carrying around the Christmas gain from last year plus a lot of VAT LOL. This year will be a bit calmer. Hopefully I can get a bit off before Christmas. Plenty of time yet for anyone who is feeling a bit down about it or not where they thought they would be by Christmas. Still plenty of time for us to make a difference.

I'm feeling more focused that I have in a long time, please let it continue. Think by removing the pressure of weighing and just seeing what happens has helped :D So this year there will be controlled and measured treats at Christmas. I will not be going completely off the rails like Year 2! I will schedule a Red Wine, Cheese and Crackers evening :D Hopefully I will be enjoying it all the more with some sort of loss under my belt.

Thanks Tweets as a fellow doggy person, you ''ll simply just understand xx Hope Poppy is enjoying half term with you

Poppy loving me being off she lay by my side now with a full belly.
She had her tea 2 small trays cesar dog food and then helped with mine 2 sausages :D Cant have anything without her wanting to share ;)

Weather was awful though we both got soaked walking to and from mums it started raining last night and not stopped since :(
