Counting Pennies, what have you been doing??? lol

Thankyou to everyone for all your lovely comments! I think counting back my syns on a weekly basis (without cheating) has helped me greatly. Also when I was poorly towards the begining of the week my appetite was quite poor. Then once I was back at work it is such a physical job (today I have been on my feet for 13 hours with a 1 hour break) so that obviously helps me.

On Sunday I went out for a few drinks and everyone ordered food. I didn't. I ate before I went out and was determined not to give in. They all pestered me to eat, but I stuck to my guns, and I am so pleased I did it.

Still in shock over it and don't quite believe it, but it just goes to show that if I do it properly I can do it.

I normally have a chinese on a Monday night after getting weighed, last night I have chops and sw roast potatoes

Today I've gone over in syns (due to extra hours at work). But I have tracked it all.

Tomorrow I'm only doing a single shift though so I've took some mince out of the freezer and will eat before and after work, not at work! At least thats the plan anyway.

Off to bed in a minute with my SW magazine to stop me eating chocolate before bed :rotfl:

Shala can I please set a target of 8lb for the christmas challenge? That gives me an aim of 1lb a week which is realistic in my opinion. I have Halloween party Saturday, nephews birthday party the week after, big birthday meal for best friend the week after that and then it is my birthday the begining of December, a day out shopping and meals in York, staff night out and SW night out..... God its gonna be a BUSY 8 weeks!!!

Huge well done to the slimmers of the week, and everyone else who has lost this week. Along with those who are reaching their halloween challenge target. Hugs to those struggling, a feeling I usually know all too well. Well are all here to help and spur you along.

And of course a HUGE thanks to our Shala for the charts and running of the threads. We would be lost without you! :T

    We CAN do it! ;)

    CP xx

    Hi all

Well last weigh in of this challenge and lost 1.5 lbs this week so although I have not lost much - or anything this challenge at least I finished on a loss:D

Shala can you put me down for 8lbs please for the next challenge. Have quite a few meals out from now to xmas so have decided to be conservative in what I will achieve.

Congratulations to everyone who has lost - there has been some absolutely fantastic losses - well done.

Hugs to those who are struggling with their weight loss, family issues and their own health problems.

The forum seems to be "having a weird turn" - the screen is so wide it'll only just fit on the screen and I can't see who's posted without scrolling across! Anyone else having a problem? If I reduce the size I can't read what has been written!

A huge well done to Beanie & Horsykaz on being joint SOTW!

Glad I got all my washing done over the last couple of days as the weather is absolutely foul this morning - raining hard and looks as though it's set in for the day.

Today will be an EE day:

B - toasted bacon & mushroom sandwich (bacon needs using up!)
L - LO spicy lentils - quite enjoyed this yesterday and will definitely make again at some stage (good for a Green or SP day)
D - a mince dish which has a family name of "rounders"! So called because it's always cooked in a round dish. It's just layers of mince & various veg topped off with sliced potatoes & baked in the oven until the potatoes are crispy on top.

HEA - milk in tea throughout the day
    HEB - bread
Syns - brown sauce in bacon sandwich 0.5; scrape of butter 2 syns

That will use up the last of my syns for this week!

It's new target setting time for the Xmas challenge:T (remember we do still have a week left of the old one though!)

If you are just joining us you may not be aware of the bi-monthly challenge that we run to motivate ourselves which you are welcome to join. It isn't a competition, just a way of setting ourselves mini targets if your total loss seems a bit overwhelming.

The new challenge will run from week commencing the 1st November and finish on the 26th December - this gives us 8 weeks.

If you wish to join in with us then please post your target loss for the 8 weeks in red* or bold or massive or all of the above so that I can see it really easily!

I will post the results chart each week on a Tuesday showing the prior weeks losses and singling out the person who has lost the most so we can make a great big fuss over them :T

Any questions please let me know - it doesn't matter which day you get weighed just let me know your loss on the day you get weighed and i'll add it to the correct week (maybe, if I don't get confused!)

    Thanking you... :Dt7746.gif

BTW we still have a week left of the old challenge so still give me your results up to the 31st October

Tweets - I've put you down for 0 - is that right??

This is correct thanks shala :T

I think you deserve to leave SW at home whilst you are on your mini cruise! BEG, you've done so well you definitely deserve a few days off when on holiday. It will be there waiting for you when you get back.

Greentiger :rotfl: the food sounds hilarious! Have to admit I was getting a little alarmed when reading it!

TIE hope you feel better soon

Shala Hmmm processed ham there was a SW Regional Manager that used to come to our meetings and sit eating several packets of processed ham every time. She had of course lost a lot of weight and maintained for years but I kind of wonder how healthy she was / is being and what sort of example she was setting. She also uses her 15 syns every day for 3 packets of 5 syn crisps. Every day! Its definitely up to the individual to be wise and aim for a balance and that's all I'm saying about it as it can make me a bit cross :rotfl:

Meg I'd love to live near a market those stories sound great. Every time I hear of reduced priced fish though I think of the man friend that we no longer talk about suggesting that he give your good fish to his cats :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: I hope the new man is more appreciative of your YS foods lol.

I was in Tesco on Sunday after the gym and I swear there was nearly a fight going on at the reduced price veg!!! I did get the ingredients to make Celery & Brocoli Soup which was lovely and will be finished off today.

I got the new mag too as always and had a quick flick, there was a beetroot soup of some sort looked tasty but not sure about that one as I'll probably end up purple as well as the kitchen. I did get some YS fresh beetroot last night for 10p though. If I see a lot of it again like that I'll maybe try the soup.

Went to the gym again last night :D pleased with my progress there and my drive to go is definitely back big time at the minute. Long may that continue. If I can just continue now and have no more medical operations or procedures for the foreseeable I might actually stand a chance of getting back to target :rotfl:

In other happy news, I was talking to my mother last night and she asked was I still in pain with the coil. I had forgotten about it until she asked so lets hope its behaving now :rotfl:

Breakfast has been 2 Alpen lights for convenience today, I have chicken salad with loads of speed for lunch including that reduced price beetroot and the last of my broccoli and celery soup.

Not sure about dinner yet but started another veg soup last night with reduced price veg so got to finish making that tonight anyway.

Shala I am IN for the next challenge but don't get weighed until Saturday so I will set a target then depending on this week's loss. Hope that's ok! :D

I've been trying to reintroduce yoghurt to my diet but I don't think it's agreeing with me. So cutting that out for the rest of the week to see if it makes any difference.

    Today's meal plan...
Breakfast - Scrambled eggs with veggies. Coffee with HEA milk.
Lunch - Jacket potato with leftover chilli. Salad.
Dinner - Pizza using HEB wrap as base, HEA cheese and lots of veg.
    Snacks - Apples. Satsumas.

I usually save my syns for pudding. Various fun size chocs in to choose from. I love all the Halloween share bags, perfect for syn control.

Now off to walk into town. I'm not sure if I count this as body magic or not as it's not intentional exercise - I don't have a car, so walking is my only option. But it's a 40 minute round trip, so it'll do me good either way!

The salt content in that would be ridiculous  I'd love to eat 3 packets of crisps a day, I love crisps, but I know it's not a good thing to do so I don't :(

:T:T:T:T glad to hear it's settled..

    that's fine june.. :D

Greentiger - make sure you have some to time to relax for yourself.. you don't want ot be running yourself ragged! Glad to hear you're friend's on the mend, albeit very slowly.

Good news this morning for me.. 3.5lbs off :T:T only 4lbs to go to get to my pre-holiday weight!

Toad in the Hole tonight as a treat, we usually get pizza/takeaway so this is a much better choice but I'm not going to count syns  *rebel* it's LM sausages, mash, carrots and green beans so the only bit I'm being naughty with is the Yorkshire batter but i'll make it with wholemeal flour :A:rotfl:

    xx

    have a good day xx

Hello Shala, and fellow SW peeps. I have been following your challenge and thread for some time, and I'd like to step up and take part in the new X-mas challenge.

If this is ok, would you put me down to lose 8lbs.

May I take this opportunity to say "thanks" to all of you who spend time helping us that ask, for my part it is much appreciated.

    Thanks
