    Welcome Rebster:hello:

Well done Mildredd on getting back into target. Good luck with staying there. You know you can do it.

Lantanna - If it's right for you not to weigh for a while then go for it. You'll know by how your clothes fit how you're doing.

Went shopping with DD yesterday and ended up buying a meal deal for a tenner. Tonight's dinner will now be coconut, lemongrass & coriander hake. It steams instead a banana leaf. Really looking forward to it.

    Having a Green day today:

    B - scrambled eggs on toast - HEB1
L - spiced lentils - contains onions, aubergine (will use some of it up!), spinach (but I'll use chard from garden:D), fresh tomato plus spices. It's a new recipe for me from the SW Little Book of Lunches
D - hake (as above) - HEB2; mixed veg (brocolli, carrot, fine beans & courgette); celeriac chips

HEA - milk in tea throughout the day.

    Good Morning :)
Ok.... I'm a little in shock here. Speechless. So I will make this short and sweet.

-7.5lb for the chart please Shala. Leaving my halloween target of 9lb smashed with a 13lb loss.

Will post tomorrow once I'm over the shock.

    CP xx

WOW well done Counting Pennies :T:T:T
Woo Hoo lots of lovely new people here - welcome to you all :hello:

Reporting in with tonight's wi result shala - a loss of 2.5lbs :j:j:j - 0.5lb to go for my next bit of bling :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Over the moon with this as I have struggled with the numbers for the last couple of weeks and have decided to focus on the lovely comments I have been receiving rather than the numbers on the scales.

Hope you all have a super week and look forward to the details of the new Challenge (you are a star shala :A)

Hi all - sorry, I've completely failed this challenge and now I've completely lost the plot, so I'm going to have a mini holiday from SW, but I'm not giving up. I will be joining in the next challenge and I will lose more weight!

Shala, please remove me from the chart for now, I'll start posting more regularly in a week, I'll be in Spain by then and more inclined to eat salad rather than wanting to stock up on carbs ready for winter hibernation.

    Bye for now.

    LL :)

Awwww bless Lois you haven't failed at all. I have really admired the way you have kept trying surrounded by temptation every day in the shop.

Enjoy your rest in Spain you have earned it.

Just worked out that almost a stone lost last night alone!! :TAmazing! Sometimes, those of you who stick to plan and don't see a loss can be disheartened but then it all comes right. I'm a great believer that whatever you do will catch up with you in the end. So if you really are good then you'll eventually see a loss. If you regularly go over syns you might get away with it for a while but not for ever. I think where the thread (and group) comes in is that sometimes you can make a genuine mistake and syns creep in or get the plan wrong. Sometimes we can be a bit absent minded;):o.

Your meals sound really exotic today denise. I'm always impressed by how adventurous you are. Consultant's always recommend variety.

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS Grapefruit, scrambled eggs, HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks
    L: ham, fried veg, pickles
D: lamb shanks cooked on parsnip, carrot and leek with roast potatoes and cauli, broccoli
Syns: 70% choc with a cuppa (generally 2-3 syns worth), scrape of HP sauce

Anyone have a view on the processed meat/red meat debate?:)

Totally agree - even though consultants tend to say it doesn't! My consultant says things like "you're not going to have that Indian/Chinese/whatever hanging onto to you following you until WI and forever after" but I do still think that whatever you do will eventually catch up. I've always tried to look on it over a monthly period rather than week on week.

It's only because I was in M&S with my DD and she had a voucher to spend and couldn't spend it all so I said I'd help her out by buying a meal deal! There were a couple of fish dishes and thought I'd try the hake one because I've never had hake before. The wine which came with the deal will be consumed after WI on Thursday or at the weekend.

Absolutely love lamb shanks. Think I'll have to look out for some for next month's menu plan.

Don't think it's anything they haven't been saying for years now - they just seem to have made it sound worse than it used to be. When I was listening to something on the radio in the car coming back from shopping this morning the presenter was saying no more than 500g of red meat/processed meats per week.

I eat quite a bit of bacon as we generally have a fry up at the weekend and the bacon I buy comes in packs of 6 so I have to buy 2 packs (we have 2 rashers each Sat & Sun) so there's always some left for during the week which I end up eating for breakfast or lunch. Maybe we ought to cut back to one fry up each week:(.

Just had another look at my food plan for today and realise it is actually an EESP day rather than a Green day as the hake is a P rather than HEB. This of course means that I've got a spare HEB to have this evening if I fancy something to snack on other than fruit:D, so may have a couple of Ryvita and an Alpen Light (only got one left, DH ate the others!).
