First day on slimming world for me today too
Can't make it to a group (and to be honest not sure going to a group's really for me anyway), so have joined online - hoping you guys can also provide me with some virtual support! (Bit disappointed by the lack of any kind of forum on SW online...)
Really looking forward to it at the moment - recently been trying a low carb diet but wasn't seeing much benefit and it just didn't feel healthy to be eating that way - SW feels like a much healthier choice.
First day has gone well I think...
Breakfast - bran flakes (heA) + a few strawberries
Lunch - asda couscous pot - 1.5 syns + fruit
Dinner - black bean chipotle chilli (recipe from SW magazine) - 0.5 syns
snacks - a peach and an alpen light bar - 3 syns
Plus milk (heB) on cereal at breakfast and in drinks throughout the day.
Might have another low syn snack before bed if I'm feeling peckish (did a big shop yesterday and stocked up on lots of SW friendly goodies)
Any tips/advice for a SW newbie?0 -
Despite a poo !!! week some how I lost half and that's with going a later class
Saved my £5 as back in target
No messing now mildreddd needs to behave again.
Shopping tomorrow for Scouse for me as that seems to help... Will do that for dinner a few nights...
I will be slim!!!
Trampolining again this week0 -

Yeh, I debated over whether to shell out on the online subscription, but decided for the books, the magazines and the syn directory it was just about worth it. Plus I'm hoping the knowledge that I've paid for it will help me stick to it! (Though I certainly won't be renewing after the initial 3 months)0 -
Evening all,
Thanks for looking at my menu Denise.. I felt nicely full so i'm glad it doesn't look like i'd eaten loadsI know now that I can eat normal portions and feel satisfied!
Sorry to hear you have been struggling Shala, can you please remove me from the chart as well. I'm not giving up thought and neither are you.
Done.. and no we're not giving up!! I just didn't want to fail the challenge and "punish" myself for it by stuffing my face out of frustration and being even worse than I was anyway! (that makes sense to me, I understand it probably sounds weird to everyone else:rotfl:)
Your post was great and I think lots of people do the over indulgence one/two days and then make up for it the rest of the week and sts, it's frustrating, even when you know why you're not losing! :mad:we're all our own worst enemies at times!
Glad you've got your head back in the game, most of the battle is in the head!BUT (that was a big BUT by the way not a big butt!;))
:rotfl::rotfl:
Tweets - just let me know what target you want when I post the challenge details later in the week and i'll add you on:D.. I forgot the name we were going to have for it - anyone remember? Was it just "Slinky for Santa" again?Despite a poo !!! week some how I lost half and that's with going a later class
Saved my £5 as back in target

:T:T
Hope mini is feeling a bit better today...
Welcome Queen of cheap  i'll post about the new challenge later in the week - we'll be starting 1st Nov till Xmas...
Welcome Rebster too  there's always someone around to help support you if you need it.. I think it would be a brilliant idea for SW to add a forum but the main one seems to be on Minimins.. not sure if you've ever been on but there's a lot of info on there..
Off to sort some food out for tomorrow! Be good xMortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.0 -
