That's a real NSV b-e-g from the GP. What a lovely thing to say.:) I find I can leave it a month or so between WI and, if I'm honest, it's the WI that focuses me rather than the group but when I go I almost always stay. I think what's happened to me is that over 5 years, doing SW has become my default position for shopping/cooking/eating so although I have indulgent meals and holidays off plan when I get back to normal I'm back on SW.
I agree for SW to work properly maman - it certainly has to become a way of life and a sort of default setting if you like. Yes when you get to where you want to be - whenever you stray either special treats or hols - know that once you get back home you are back on it.. Hope you enjoyed your Sunday roast
.
Lamb and apricot slow cooker meal has been a disappointment. The spices killed off the flavour of the lamb. DH wasn't happy at using the amount of spices (tablespoons - he usually uses teaspoons) but I told him that the Lidl chef would know what he was doing
. Well hindsight I don't think he did. You couldn't even tell that it was lamb - it could have been any might. I wouldn't care they were two huge extra lean lamb steaks that had been YSd at Sainsbobs. Would have been much better chucked in a frying pan, cooked slowly and served with a bit of mint sauce and veggies. We have two spare meals of it to go in the freezer :rotfl:
Just about to settle on sofa now for Strictly and XFactor :j

Sorry that the lamb dish was a disappointment. Lamb is quite a subtle flavour so too easy to kill the taste and (even YS) it's too expensive to waste.
Roast was perfectly acceptable although the only Speed was a few carrots. I'll have to rectify that tomorrow. My team drew 1-1 so all in all a good afternoon out.
Hoping to get seriously back on plan this week. Jeans are tightening up although pleased that thighs don't feel big. I think it must have been all that walking in Malta. I really ought to try getting some more exercise.
wiz, why not try the Colman's Fresh Garden mint that CP recommends? That's free.0 -

Thanks for the encouragement CP x.. is it just the oven that's broken or have you lost a hob too? Do you have a microwave?
I actually had a proper EE day today and enjoyed it all (although OH kept mentioning cake and custard ) so i'll post my menu. Feel like I've eaten too much now it's written down but it was all normal portions rather than the big portions I usually have..
B - scrambled egg and eggy bread (heb), strawberries, yogurt
L - 25g spaghetti plus carrot and BNS spaghetti, philly (hea)
T - BBQ pulled pork (3) egg fried rice(with veg cous cous stirred in), 1.5 apples, quark, lemon curd (syn free)
S - alpen light (3.5) crisps (3.5) rich tea fingers (4) satsumas
Bit annoyed I had all my syns but I had to add some sugar to the BBQ sauce as it was too vinegary..
Hope everyone's had a good weekend!Mortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.0 -

Sounds like you had a good time beanie. I always seem to overindulge at weekends and spend the week reining in. I'm sure you'll be able to do the same. I'm boring with presents these days as I've got so fed up with 'stuff' I can't bring myself to buy it for others. I just take wine and flowers.
I've been abusing a little potato tonight. Made my own SW crisps. I know it's frowned on but I enjoyed them:D.0 -

That doesn't look a huge amount of food to me for a day; and you had plenty of Speed foods. You've got a spare half syn that I can see - Alpen Lights are 3 syns not 3.5 syns.
Had a good weekend away but obviously over syns as usual, LOL! But not as many as usual so have left myself 9 syns a day from today to Wednesday.
An EE day today:
B - bacon, egg, mushrooms & fried up potato
L - no idea as going shopping with DD. Have saved my HEB in case I end up with a sandwich
D - pork chop, mash, stir fried veg including sugar snaps, baby sweetcorn, spring onions, mushrooms, peppers
No idea what syns I'll have today but will definitely make sure I have at least 5 or 6.
