:T to orlao and dillon.
That's a good result on the chart shala. 75% lost. result!! You are a star to do it.:T
Welcome mountain girl. You'll enjoy it on here. Loads of support and advice and LOTS of chat.Hi everybody,
This is my Wednesday menu plan I haven't felt 100% today so I haven't eaten as I should.
Good to see you back on Green wiz. Hope you feel better tomorrow.:)
You could have extra HEA and HEB on Green greentiger. The hairy bikers were on the One show earlier, and they seem to have regained the weight they lost - maybe they should write a sequel!

I saw a bit of their programme, they were making Polish food tonight. They really are very watchable. I noticed they'd put on weight, especially Si but I think that's because he's been quite ill.
Tesco and Sainsbury have 5% pork mince according to mysupermarket and although Tesco is usually cheaper it's on offer at Sainsbury's.
Good thinking transferring the cash saverupper. Hope the card is safe though.
The Austrian hash was absolutely yummy. I made a few tweaks. As well as the chorizo I used cumin instead of caraway and a pinch of chilli powder and added sliced mushrooms. Then we had it with runner beans and cauliflower instead of fried eggs. As DH was late home I tipped it into a dish and reheated it in the oven, not before I'd had a good taster though. Will definitely be making it again and quite a cheap meal as I'm sure the tin of Ye Olde Oak ham came from £ shop.0 -
Good morning, just popping in to report a 2lb loss please Shala. I must admit I was hoping for a little more in my first full week but hey ho, I've always been more of a tortoise than a hare. It's TOTM too so perhaps I'm clinging on to some extra water and 'other stuff', we'll see.
Fancy breakfast meeting at work this morning - I'm going for the most SW-friendly option of grilled bacon, tomato and mushroom with a poached egg. Makes a change from apple and yoghurt anywayHave a good day all!
Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
morning all
well done everyone on their weightlosses.
Congrats Joee on being SOTW:T
Hello to mountaingirl and any other new joiners I have missed over the past couple of days.
MMM greentiger that fish pie looks delish. Like Lois I make the HB one but this looks even better. I haven't had fish pie in a while and I love it as an autumn/winter dish.
thanks for the chart as always shala
Lois sorry to hear your days out have been postponed especially now that you have some time to yourself.
saverupper your day sounds like a nightmare. Hope you have a better one today.
beg and maman - really liking the sound of the Austrian hash so I will investigate this further and dig out my mag and see if we may have it next week. I sometimes get stuck in a rut so will try something new next week especially when it is highly recommended.
had a bad day yesterday as I was totally stressed out at work so instead of having the nice sw friendly lunch I had taken with me I went to the shop and bought a sandwich, crisps and brownie added to that an OJ.
Oh well as they say back on it today - to be fair tea was sw friendly so that was ok.
Today's menu
breakfast: 2 x large mushrooms filled with chopped ham, chopped tomatoes and grated cheese and served on toast (used up HEa and HEb) but would only have had cheese and thins for supper if I hadn't
lunch: chicken, tomatoes, cucumber, yoghurt and nectarine
dinner: Mince and potatoes (Mince has onion, carrots and peas in) not mega speed but may have some veg on the side. Potatoes are new ones but rest of family will have mash on top for shepherds pie.
syns DG latte (2.5 syns) Hifi bar (3 syns) may have some snackajacks for supper if I am hungry.0 -
Thank you Shala for adding me to the grid.
I will be completing my first weigh-in on Friday.
I tend to read more than post but my main meal for today will be a cottage pie and veggies. I think it will be syn-free, unless I decide to put gravy made with granules over it.
I stocked up with lots of vegetables for cooking yesterday after having salads all summer, and I am planning to make up some soups for the freezer too.
My downfall has been the lack of accountability - since giving up group I have really been making excuses to myself. Having to "report" to someone will keep me in line.
I've been slack in weighing and measuring (HEXs and syns) too - particularly milk since I like my cups of tea. So to get back on track.
Some great losses already posted - well done.:)Grocery challenge 2017 January £158.74/£200
Grocery challenge February £100.91/£1900 -
I'm liking the sound of the hash too, think I might give it a try.
I believe that Good old Campfire Stew is in the new Mag again. (In the shops tomorrow for those not in a group)
Think I'll turning into the Pumpkin for Halloween. So bloated with PMT despite drinking lots of fluids and eating lots of veg.

thanks maman, I've printed the recipe I'll need to buy the spices, wine vinegar and brown sugar. I might try it in the slow cooker too.
today:
breakfast: HeB wholemeal (2 slices from a small loaf) 2syns jam
lunch: small jacket potato, baked beans, salad. 3syns light salad cream
tea: not really sure. I've cut a potato up which I could make in to wedges. and I can add plenty of veggies from the freezer (baby carrot, sweetcorn, peas...also have broccoli and cauli in there too) will have to get some inspiration

Morning all
I've just looked up the HB fish pie on google and didn't find it, but what I discovered was that they have done a sequel, in fact there's at least THREE hairy dieters cookbooks! :rotfl:MMM greentiger that fish pie looks delish. Like Lois I make the HB one but this looks even better. I haven't had fish pie in a while and I love it as an autumn/winter dish.
Maisie - how many syns do you count for the HB fish pie?blue_eyed_girl wrote: »Will have to look that one up Lois too. If its anywhere near as good as the HB Steak it will be worth giving a go. Are the 12 syns between 4 servings - if yes, I don't suppose that will be too bad.
B_e_g - my calculation is for the whole thing, which is supposed to serve 4 but DH and I eat it all between us. I have about 1/3rd so 4 syns is acceptable. I also sometimes count the cheese, milk and breadcrumbs as 1 HEX, however that is bending the rules!
Just looking at the chart again, and noticed what a fantastic total loss you had Joee -
if we had a Slimmer of the Challenge award you would have nailed it! Well done. :T
Back later, have a good day everyone.
