Why are all the letter s (That’s the letter after t btw.) being replaced by ! ? Is there a naughty nuance now that I’m not aware of lol? Or is it just on my computer?

Same for me too! When I saw it I thought it was probably my computer so closed down MSE and reopened it but still the same.

Matron - I don't think one off-plan meal is likely to make a difference of 1.5lb. I think it's probably best to look at your weight loss as a fortnightly or monthly figure as our bodies seem to do all sorts of weird things! Our weight varies over the course of the day which is why it is recommended to weigh at the same time on the same day each week preferably wearing the same clothes or at same weight of clothes.

PS It isn't just the letter "s" that's changing to an exclamation mark but different letters in different posts!
  • Not sure how today is going to go as I'm unwell but also ment to be out for some birthday celebrations this evening. I won't be drinking, but probably have to eat.

    Breakfast: Toast (HEB)

Lunch: Cheese omelette and sw chips with beetroot

Tea: Not sure till we go out

Snacks/Syns: Fruit (I must get to the shops) and a packet of beef claws (4.5 syns).

My syn bank stands at 95 left for the week (after my beef claws) so when I go out I can just deduct using the app. I only had 5.5 syns yesterday so to eat tonight I can just cut back daily for damage control.

To be honest I don't even feel like going out, but its DH's birthday and he had some bad news this morning so I'm guessing he needs to get out for a couple of hours, just the 2 of us.

    Feeling very miserable.

Hope you feel better soon Counting Pennies!

Shala, I'm not weighing this week. I'll weigh in again on the 30th of October. Feeling all out of sorts and if I don't like what the scales say which I suspect I won't I'll head for an even worse mood.

Hope you have a better day today Wiz. It was miserable here yesterday as well but looking better this morning.

Still undecided whether I'm going to weigh this morning but still going to group (I'm on the social committee). Not had a brilliant week and am sure I've put on and could go out of target range at the top end. Will make the decision when I get there!

Today will be another Green day:

B - 2 Alpen Lights (HEB1) - will be after WI if I decide to weigh!
    L - HM veg soup
    D - Imam Bayeli (Stuffed aubergine)/green salad
    S - Crackers/cheese - (HEB2/HEA1)

HEA2 will be milk in tea throughout the day

Only planned syns is raisins in the stuffed aubergine.

but don't give up. Just being aware of what your eating can have a desirable affect on weight loss as your more concious of what your putting in your mouth.... If you know what I mean. We are all here to offer support, guidance and a friendly listening ear when the going gets tough! I put 4.5lb on this week. Once over this would have just caused me to give up, keep away from the scales and do more damage. Instead, I've got back on it today and drawn a line under it.

    Hi folks!

Feeling MUCH more human today, and i'm dressed before lunchtime :rotfl: always a good sign :p

Went out for DH birthday last night. I ordered chicken goujons and chips. The chips were really chunky, and lots of them. I ate around half of them. The chicken was done in a really greasy bubbly batter (they are beautiful). Tried some damage control and removed the batter from most of the chicken. Do you think this will help (like it does with fish) or will the damage already be done to the chicken :o

I've knocked my syn counter down to 70, hoping this is enough to cover me.

Totally staying on track today. Have been invited out for a "pleased your feeling a bit better today" lunch. I've politely declined. My friend is also on SW so doing her a favour too ;)

I feel hungry today in comparison to the rest of the week, and really fancy mince and dumplings, so I'm gonna have them for tea! Kids love it too so they will be happy when they get home from school.

Going back to work tomorrow but don't start till 6pm so I will be able to stay on plan by eating before I go to work and then saving some syns for after so I canhave a sandwich or something before bed.

Today should go something a little like this.....

    Breakfast: Cereal (HEA and HEB)
Lunch: Spaghetti hoops, bacon, egg (random but using up what I have in the fridge ;) )
Tea: Mince and 2 small dumplings, sw roast potatoes and peas (8 syns as per 2 of 8 aunty bessie dumpling mix, which are lower than making my own!).

Syns/Snacks: Dumplings and hi-fi bar, beetroot, pickles and apple

EDIT: NEED TO SYN THE GRAVY TOO :)

Might not even have the hi-fi bar. Will see if I fancy it later.

    and checking before I chew!!

Check before you Chew!!! that's a really good reminder for us all midge.

Glad you're feeling a bit better CP. Taking the batter off the goujons would definitely work like fish. The meat/fish is effectively steamed inside the batter so it'll be free on its own I think.

Oh the fainted priest!! How do you make that vegetarian denise? I've only had it stuffed with mince/Bolognese.
I might do it again if I see aubergines at a good price. We love them and as we enjoyed the stuffed courgettes so much it would make a nice change.

I'm going to be 100% on plan tomorrow. Determined to go to WI on Thursday and find out what damage my holiday did.

Afraid that didn't happen yesterday. I went to a meeting that lasted 9 hours! There were various short breaks but no food available unless I went out and bought junk. By 4 p.m. I was starving and so had two cups of coffee and put tsp of sugar in to try a fool my stomach into thinking it'd been fed! When I got home I had SW Bolognese but also unplanned wine syns as I reckoned I deserved them.

BUT good news is I went to WI this morning and lost a pound.:j so getting back mostly on plan since my holiday has worked. I'm 2lbs below target now so really please. We'll have cheese sauce with our fish tonight as I can afford it then back on plan. We've two pub meals planned for the week ahead so can't be too naughty.

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS Grapefruit, Puffed Wheat, HEA milk
    L: meat and fried veg
D: baked haddock, cauli & broccoli cheese, mushrooms. sweet potato chips
    Syns: cheese sauce
