Hope everyone has a good weekend planned. That's why saving syns works for me as I always save them up for weekends ever since I started on SW. It's not the official line, it's a tweak, but provided you can manage a bit of 'delayed gratification' Monday to Friday (until 6 pm;)) then for me it's a bonus.
Totally agree. I was didn't used to drink very often before starting SW and only started drinking regularly to use up my syns - I don't have a sweet tooth, don't use ready made sauces, have gravy etc which most people tend to use their syns on!
I've done my meal plan and shopping list as food shop planned for later today. As I'm now only just inside bottom of target range I'm having a few more syns in meals than I would have had previously. Another tweak as the official SW line is that target members have more HEXs.
I'm going to have to redo my menu plan for next week as I've been tweaking my menu plan so much this month! Have rejigged it as far as Monday and on Monday will start again for the rest of the month.
Oh dear, I'm not a very good example.:o:rotfl:
Don't think you can really say that - after all you are at bottom end:T so it certainly works for you. It did for me as well until I went on holiday in September! Now I just need to get back on plan 100% (well apart from doing weekly syns rather than the daily syns, LOL).
Meant to say that my group was absolutely packed yesterday, seems that lots of new people have joined in past few weeks since my last WI. Might it be people want to look good in party frocks?
Our group's the same. Had loads of new starters this month. Think your right about them all wanting to look goof in their party frocks! But I've also noticed that quite a few of them seem to be just weighing and going so I hope they're able to stick to it without the support of the group, otherwise they could end up telling people SW doesn't work!
Just about to finish packing the motorhome for the weekend. Hope the weather brightens up a bit though it's really dull and overcast at the moment.

After much thought have decided not to go back to SW group. I haven't been since about May or June. I am doing my own thing which is ..... Weighing once a week, cooking the SW way, not keeping diary, not having any Syns, not doing HE A and B and drinking loads of water.
In my first week and have lost 3 lbs which is something I never managed at group!! :rotfl: I might lose half a pound, stay the same for week, lose a pound, stay the same for weeks, lose half a pound etc. The consultant was no help and I felt totally disheartened.
I found that recording everything made me think continuously about food and seeing the table with all the SW products laid out made me think about it even more. I found the talks afterwards boring and basically everybody's story was the same. Been out, ate too much, will aim to try harder next week. :rotfl:
I also got fed up with hearing the consultants stock phrases and excuses if I queried my slow weight loss. "Are you eating enough?" "Muscle weighs more than fat." ( that was when I said I walk or cycle every day and still don't lose) and "you need to use all your Syns."0 -
A lot of newbies in our group too.
Certainly not many of the regulars staying & the numbers would be low if not for the newbies.I am a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Mortgage Free Wannabe & Local Money Saving Scotland & Disability Money Matters. Sorry to hear that your group didn't suit you penny. It can vary so much with the quality of consultant. Some (like my own to be honest) don't have the skill or the confidence to get a proper discussion going so they fall back on the script almost totally which is incredibly boring. It's so much better when (like on here) people swap hints and tips.
Do post as often as you want especially as you might need syns looking up. You too June.
I don't know how you manage a month's meal plan denise. I find it hard to go for a week without something cropping up that makes changes. So each week I have the chance to plan again starting from use up what's left in fridge. Each to his own though.
I got 5% mince YS in Asda today meg.:D very pleased with that. Already got one pack in the SC doing savoury mince and the rest in the freezer. I went in specially to buy some wine DH and I like as it's on a good offer and came out with a few bargains. Not the 10p sort but good all the same.0 -
:eek::eek::eek: That is dire.
I am laughing now but was upset last night They had left a note to say contact my neighbour for keys but she wasn't in so called in at the police station to ask what had happened and went out for dinner when we got back it turned out she didn't have them so went back to the police station but it was shut. Turned out the council had them at their head office, so had to spend the night at my friends and get them today.
Need another weeks holiday to recover :rotfl:Slimming World at target0 -
Came back tonight to find I am locked out of my house. Apparently a neighbour was worried because I had not been seen all week and called the council who called the police to break in, then changed my locks so I cant get in until tomorrow, staying the night with a friend.[/QUOTES
Sorry Meg, but that made me laugh :rotfl: Poor you! That's what you get for going off galavanting!!!
Well done on your loss Beanie, that's fab!! :T You've turned it around nicely!
Horseykaz,:T
I am laughing myself now but the air was blue last night, have thanked my neighbour for caring and told her next time will put a sign in the window "GONE BONKING" so she dosent worry.Slimming World at target0 -

Hi Everyone.
It's been about a year since I went to group, but come payday (In a week), I'm planning on rejoining.
I'm thoroughly confused by the idea of EESP, but I'm sure the new consultant will be patient.
Now I've decided to buck up, I'm wanting to start getting into good habits now...
Would you mind having a look at my plan for next week? Should be straight forward, but I wanted to try a couple of vegetarian days each week.
I've only planned to Friday as Group is Thursday evening.
Breakfast- 2x - 2 quorn sausages, 1/2 tin beans, 2 HB eggs, 1/2 tub mushrooms, slice of WM toast (Monday & Friday)
- 3x - 35g oats, 1/2 tub ff nat yogurt, 100g blueberries, sliced banana (Tues, Wed & Thurs)
Lunch- 2x - chicken and sweeten soup - Chicken, sweetcorn, potato, stock, garlic, 350ml skim milk (Monday & Tues)
- 2x - Omelette - 2 eggs, 3 XL babybel, mushrooms, peas/sweetcorn, leeks, courgette, 1/2 diced yellow and 1/2 green pepper, 1/2 tin beans (Wed & Thurs)
- 1x - Slimming world chicken tikka ready meal (Friday) - Not sure if this has an A/B component, If not, I'd have a skinny Latte at work.
Dinners- 2x Roast chicken - chicken, roast spuds, carrot, peas, cauli (Monday & Tues)
- 3x Chilli - TVP, beans, kidney beans, tomatoes, mushrooms, onion, peppers, garlic (Wed, Thurs & Friday)
I've got muller lights, pears, cottage cheese, carrots, and sprouted seeds as snacks.
Thank you for any comments or suggestions. That sounds like a classic case of premature extrapolation.

NewShadow - I'm assuming the italicised foods are superfree. They've changed this in the new EE plan to speed foods (same third of a plate rule still applies) and the following ones no longer qualify but are still free: blueberries, bananas, sweetcorn and peas (which are now listed under beans)
AFAIK, all of the SW ready meals are free with no A/Bs. I checked the ingredients on the Tikka one and there's nothing in there that would count as anything else.
EESP is like the old Success Express plan, but I haven't looked too much into it yet.0
