    Hi everyone

I hope you don't mind me joining in.

I joined SW online a couple of weeks back when I finally got to the stage of my back and joints aching too much. I've been ignoring it far too long so now it is time to take charge ( I've taken charge of hubbie too cos he is also far too heavy and he can't eat what I don't buy can he ? )

I've lost 6 lbs so far and hubs 10 but I know weight comes off quicker at the beginning.

I have also decided to change my shopping pattern cos I was in a rut buying the same stuff each week so ventured into my local lidl and aldi. Mind you Sunday morning in Aldi isn't fun, I've never seen so many people. I got into the habit of doing T shops online but over time the prices haven't gone up much but the amount of food in the packets has got less and was pleasantly suprised by how much shopping I got for £22. I am now working on the theory that if I don't buy it I can't eat it and I have 2 big fruit bowls full so if I get the munchies it's not a problem.

I know it's early days but we both really need to get slimmer and healthier. We are now of the age where more people we know are leaving this world than coming in and I'm determined to be a crotchety annoyance to my kids for a long time yet.

Anyway hi to all you guys and I hope you don't mind me popping by occasionally.

    Cuddles

 Getting the coil in was a painful experience. Not sure if anyone else has had it in, but def not pleasant.

In bad mood today. expect I will be for a couple of days til it settles down

Don't think I'll be weighing this week

Be back in a better mood soon (I hope)

Hi Lantanna - I feel your pain I had the Marina fitted several years ago. It was probably inserted incorrectly and then migrated through my womb. It is now stuck in my body, as it was impossible for the surgeon to remove. Just be aware of your body, because with hindsight I did get cramps and stinging which was not normal. Thankfully I didn't fall as I certainly didn't want anymore children.

Sorry to scaremonger, I'm sure this won't happen to you. I do wonder whether cerazette - (thinks that's what it's called!) which I now take makes it trickier to loose, but probably in my imagination.

Hope you feel better soon lantanna. Mine was awful, but the removal was the worst for me. I won't go into too many details but it required me being put to sleep to get it out. However I know LOTS of people who have had them with NO problems at all.

Hugs love feel for you, I had a lot of pain and trouble with the coil years ago and had to have it removed. Hopefully yours will settle down and you will feel much better .

Oh deary me, the joys of being a woman :rotfl:

Arkers - That sounds awful!!!! I was on Cerezette there for at least a year. No idea re the weightloss as there were too many other variables that were inconsistent for me to say.

Countingpennies & Meg - Hmmm wasn't much fun for you then either. Sorry to hear that.

Fingers cross mine works out. Just wasn't expecting it to be so sore and wasn't warned! Also the Male Consultant and the Male Chinese Medical Student looking at my bits didn't really help matters! I'll be big girl and put it behind me now. Though I do feel like a Jack Russell today yappy lol:mad: and snapping at peoples trouser legs lol

Did have a NSV though. Was fed up and hungry this morning and even McDonalds crossed my head - which I never do and I thought no you'll feel even worse after that! So I got a Hi Fibre Brown Roll and some WW Tuna. Feeling smug about my choice now. It was nearly all going very very wrong lol.

Mildredd - stop being a brat and post :rotfl:

My older twin dds had a birthday yesterday but we had a celebration on Saturday as that was when all the family could get together. There was a slice of cake left and I was tempted to scoff it but before I knew what I was doing I had scraped it in the bin. :j

I went out for a day's shopping with dd yesterday and had a low syn noodle meal and even managed chopsticks! We had a birthday glass of wine each and then a prosecco so hoping I will not have put weight on at next weigh in on Wednesday evening.

I made a big pot of chicken and veg broth with pearl barley and have just had two bowls of it. I just had a mug of tea at breakfast and plan something like an omelette or fritata with tomatoes and mushrooms.

  • Well done for not eating the cake Elona.... I need to do that!

    Today is going like this.

    Breakfast: 2 hi-fi bars (HEB)

Lunch: Cheese omelette (HEA) and lots of beetroot

Tea: Roast pork, sw roast potatoes, peas and 2 or 3 1 syn yorkshire puddings (never had them but i've gotta try them to save the syns!)

Snacks: Fruit (if I feel well enough to pop to shop later). Not sure what else. I'm forcing the above food down me as I'm not feeling hungry but if I don't eat I will be more poorly.

    Sorry for miserable post.
