Maisie, enjoy your afternoon tea.. don't worry about syns etc it's part of your birthday celebrations, they don't count
Thanks Shala it was devine and I thoroughly enjoyed it and so nice to spend some one on one time with my mum. Used to have every Wednesday out together but since I changed jobs we only see each other on a Sunday morning with the kids, DH and DF around which is lovely but not the same as a girly one to one.
Suffragette was really good and really thought provoking as to what the women sacrificed then for us to have the life we have now, even though there is still a lot of problems for women, such as domestic abuse and being treated equally in terms of pay with men in some lines of business. It really made me quite thankful and humble to the women suffragettes. But I will get off my soapbox on this one

:Torlao, that was some loss!! Probably two week's worth in one so don't worry if nothing happens this week.
Hope the lamb shoulder was good denise. It's my favourite cut of lamb, a bit fatty but really tasty. Do you stuff it?
I was positively angelic tonight in that I cut off the crackling from the pork and threw it straight in the bin:eek:. What a waste!!Suffragette was really good and really thought provoking as to what the women sacrificed then for us to have the life we have now.
Thanks for the heads up on the film. DH and I plan to go and see it but even more determined now. Probably mean an off plan meal though as there's a Wetherspoons just next to our favourite cinema:o.Evening all,

Hope you don't mind me commenting liz, but lunch could have done with some Speed food like leaves in the sandwich or some fruit afterwards.
My EE menu for today:
B: NAS Grapefruit, 2 fried eggs, HEB toast, HEA milk for teas
L: small ham salad (tomato, beetroot) with HM vegetable and lentil souproast pork, SW roast potatoes and parsnips, cauli and broccoli and assorted veg cooked under the pork (carrot, onion, garlic, celery)
Syns: squirt of HP, gravy and weekend wine (sparkling chardonnay:D).0 -
I bought the shoulder of lamb marinaded in a mint sauce, although once cooked it all ended up in the fat which came out of it and there wasn't any mint taste at all so needed to add some mint sauce when I ate it! It was still really nice.

Morning all, hope everyone had a good weekend. I didn't have my HEB yesterday as didn't feel hungry during the evening (perhaps I can use the 6 syns against a glass of wine, LOL!)
Have my sister coming down this afternoon until Wednesday morning so will be feeding her as well, although we're going to France for the day tomorrow so will eat out there and will only need something light in the evening.
Will be sticking to EE for the next few days:
B - porridge made with water; Mullerlight banana & custard; frozen mixed fruit
L - LO sweet chilli noodles (3 syns - won't have any feta today)
D - SC gammon; potatoes; swede & cabbage.
HEA will be milk in tea throughout the day
HEB - porridge
Syns - sweet chilli sauce - 2; possibly some wine syns

DH and I saw it last week and found it very thought provoking. Women in the UK got partial voting rights in 1918, and full voting rights in 1928, but they didn't get the right to vote in Switzerland until 1971! That's when the equal pay act came into force in the UK, although women still earn less than men on average. Women in Saudi Arabia still don't have the right to vote, although it is supposed to happen sometime this year - they'd better hurry up, there's not much of it left.
I'm always on my soapbox about women who don't exercise their right to vote after what the suffragettes went through on our behalf.

Morning all
Reporting in with the result of my weigh in with a STS. I'm not doing very well with the challenge, and the only positive I can take out of it is that I know I can maintain - pity I'm not at a point I want to maintain! :rotfl:
Well done Orlao, Wizkid, Beanie and everyone who has lost this week. :T
Have a good week everyone.
