Back to EE today although quite of lot of stuff which would have fitted in with Green with a few syns but as you know I'm trying to keep syns extremely low this week! Had a sneaky look at the scales this morning and not looking good - so may avoid WI at group this week if things don't improve. Will check again Thursday morning and make a decision (the joy of being a target member:D).

B - porridge made with water, yoghurt & frozen berries
L - HM mixed bean goulash/rice (which I'd planned on having yesterday but didn't)
D - Spanish rice with onion, garlic, pepper & mushrooms, along with some LO chicken. Also has some chorizo (only 12.5g each) so 1.5 syns.

HEA - milk in tea throughout the day
    HEB - porridge

Its -1.5 for me please Shala. Very happy with that.

Can't make group next Monday night so gonna try and go to Tuesday morning class instead. My friend said she might come with me, but asked if it was possible to get SOTW at a different group if you stay for class like we always do.... I have no idea! Anyone here know? She must be feeling positive :rotfl:

Off to bed now.... Catch up tomorrow!

    CP xx

That would be cheeky, but such a great thing to do! And I can't see any reason why it wouldn't work - I can imagine the regulars might be a bit cheesed off though... :rotfl:

Can't see the pizza frittata on the site shala. Is it basically a frittata with loads of cheese on top? or do you make a plain omelette and then load it?

Oh that's a shame - its plain on the bottom, so everything you would normally put in your frittata you put on top instead :D

    so the recipe is basically..

    - Mix 8 eggs with 2 tsp oregano and cook in a pan until set (i did mine in an oven proof dish in the oven for easiness)
    - top with passata, red pepper, onion, mushrooms, a sprinkle of oregano and mozarella cheese (hea or syns)
    - pop under the grill until the cheese has melted ( i just shoved mine back in the oven)

You can use anything on the top, we added a bit of chicken too. I guess it's a bit like the pizza toast recipe but with eggs instead of bread..

Don't expect pizza though, because it's nothing like...:rotfl:

    Morning all :)

Well done to all the losers, there are some great results coming in as usual. It's amazing to look at the total loss for everyone on the chart, something is working! Commiserations if you're not doing as well as you'd like, keep going and checking everything and it will come good.

Went shopping yesterday and the menu for this week includes Austrian Hash, so I've managed to break away from the rut a little bit! Think we'll go for veg on the side rather than poached egg on top to up the speed even more. We've still got some sea bass in the freezer, caught by one of our customers earlier in the year, so we'll be having that as well - it'll make a change from salmon.

Seeing Lantanna's BNS and sweet potato soup reminds me that I've got sweet potato in with the intention of making beef tagine. I had it on the menu last week, but then plans were changed and we didn't have it, and I forgot to include it this week. Good job the beef is in the freezer.

Spinkz - well done for completing the half marathon. :T I've never been able to run any distance and it's not going to happen now.

Lush - hope everything goes well with your Dad and good luck for BF.

Have a good day everyone, we're off to the cinema this afternoon to see The Intern.

Do you do anything to the pepper, onion and mushrooms before adding them or do they go on raw, and if raw, does grilling until the cheese has melted cook them sufficiently? (I avoid eating raw onion as it upsets my stomach.)

I have to confess that I rarely weigh anything:o so I had pieces of chorizo that I'd cut by eye and I weighed them yesterday to check. Fortunately some were as low as 20g and none over 25g so my 1.5 estimate in my sausage casserole was generous I'm pleased to say. Chorizo gives a nice kick of spiciness and colours the onions. I'm a convert.

I suppose it's no different to a visitor winning the raffle. It happens;).

CP, do you have any Speed veg to go with your tea? A carrot perhaps?:)

Still finishing off fresh stuff here so nothing will be left in fridge/veg box other than a few potatoes.

    EE plan for today:
B: NAS Grapefruit, HEB porage, HEA milk
L: LO casserole (cabbage, onions, leeks, mushrooms and butter beans) may add some potato if it looks a bit mean and I'm hungry.
D: BGTY burger, fried onion, SW chips, tomato, mushrooms, asparagus, mange tout and a dew peas.
Syns: squirt of syrup, squirt of HP sauce, 1 syn for burger.

    Good for you!!:)
We have a green veg with Austrian Hash too because my DH doesn't like eating eggs. I've tweaked the recipe (in the first post of the thread) a little. I added sliced mushrooms and used my own potatoes cubed and almost cooked with thinly sliced carrots. I used cumin instead of caraway and added 15g each of chorizo as I only had a small tin of ham. Instead of serving it straight from the pan I put it in a dish and reheated in the oven as it suited me better to prep earlier in the day rather than stand over the hob. Sometimes I've layered a sliced tomato on top and if you've any cheese going begging from a HEA then that's good too.
