  • Evening everyone

Well I'm back from wi and reporting in with a 1.5lb loss tonight. Quite pleased with that I think. :D Does this count for the new Challenge Shala?

Just had a hm beefburger with lettuce, toms, gherkins and a tiny bit of ketchup in wholemeal bun, SW wedgies and a gorgeous salad - totally delish. Might have to have a little bit of Carte D'or Praline now - why oh why did Lidl have to have it on offer at £1.75

Have a good week everyone - hope you get back into the zone very soon Shala ;).

    Well,that was a surprise- 1 lb lost :j :j.

Now I am regretting my naughtiness over the last day or so.I actually thought it had been a "bad" week, with little opportuity to buy food,so have no fruit, veg, speed etc in the house.

Yesterday was a "good-ish" 1/2 day syn-wise,then we went to in-laws' to wish MIL a Happy Birthday.Cue lots of tea and biscuits for me 018.gif.

Today, not having wholemeal bread in the house,I had 2 slices of "brown" bread for breakfast. Most of my day's syns right there!(Did you know that Hovis Best of Both loaf, despite being light brownish colour,is actually listed as "white" bread by SW??I knew it wasn't HEB or anything like that, but surprised it is called "white",despite not physically being white.)

Then lunch was bad.Had intended to buy French baguette to have with ham etc for lunch.Suddenly the "family" decision was made for everyone else to have KFC take-away,and I would have "something at home".Once we sat at the table,I asked what share of KFC was mine icon_redface.gif.I am not even a great fan of KFC,so icon_redface.gificon_redface.gificon_redface.gif.

THENNNNNNNNN,,with only about 1.5 hours til weigh-in (this from a girl who usually eats hardly anything on a Monday),I thought "might as well be hung for a sheep as a lamb",and I ate lots of squares of chocolate left over from our camping trip!!So it sounds like I have already had this weeks' syns already. If I had thought I was going to do so well at weigh-in this week,I might have been abit more restrained.

So already remorse for this SW week has set in.

    The positives are
-being 5lb lighter than I was at the start of the school hols, despite having 4 kidlodites at home
    - that I am still under target (by 2 lb)
-that I wanted to be under target exactly sooooooo I could have days like this in the school holidays
-routine will be restored later this week
-going to try doing a weekly meal plan after kids have gone to bed.

What's done is done, draw a line and move on, tomorrow is a new day, start again with Day One and don't be too hard on yourself.

Well I'm back from wi and reporting in with a 1.5lb loss tonight.

    That's excellent b-e-g. Well done!:T

And :T to you too saverupper. It's quite an achievement to lose in the school holidays.

selement, the plus side of a Saturday WI is that you don't count Friday in your weekend:). So having two high syn days should be fine as long as you rein yourself back in through the week. I find it relatively easy to eat very low syn all the week because I like synful weekends too and I know denise does much the same.

Hope your first day goes well and well done for getting organised in advance with your lunch.:)

I think ceramic pans aren't proving very popular as I keep seeing them reduced in price.

Sorry to nag wiz but I see you've had two EE days with not a lot of Speed food. I think you're better off doing Green where the Speed is a bonus rather than essential. How do you make you meat and potato pie?

We're trying Austrian has tomorrow, really looking forward to it.:)

Thanks, maman. I think I may have lost 5 lbs many moons ago, but it didn’t make me as happy as this! My fingers must be getting thinner – my wedding ring fell off when I was packing my shopping in Tesco this morning. Luckily it fell into the bag. It’s a broad band and it’s on the outside to stop my engagement ring dropping off!

We’re in the same boat as you, keeping fingers etc crossed until transfer window closes!

lantanna, there’s no doubt about your ice cream being syn free – honeycomb is full of holes, so there’s really nothing there!

    Well done, Saver and b_e_g.

Shala, please, please, please put it as 1st week of new challenge. It wouldn’t make me meet the last challenge but it’ll give me a start and an incentive for this one. I’ve never managed to beat the challenge yet ….. Oh dear, if I don’t manage this time I’ll have to crawl under a rock for ever! BTW thanks to everyone who has been so kind with their congrats – it really does mean a lot to me.

The bank holiday is over and we can all get back to normal again. I need my routines to keep SW on track, so it’s just as well it wasn’t a bank holiday here!

Good luck in your new job, Tete.

    Syns bank: 105
Monday’s syns: couscous (1), half slice hm banana loaf (5 )
    Syns balance: 99

    Tuesday
Breakfast: banana, Activia 0% fat raspberry yogurt
Lunch: LMcC roro sausages, beans and mushrooms, fruit
Dinner: macaroni cheese (8 syns, inc hexa cheese – DGS’s request, “You make the best ever macaroni cheese, Grandma!” How could I refuse?), tomatoes & beetroot, hexb toast
Snacks (choose from): 2 Garibaldis (4 syns), choc digestive (4 syns), fruit

Let’s make it a great day tomorrow.

    Right,back on it now.

For tea tonight made myself a huge butternut squash and "red" pepper soup (actually one red,one yellow). So lots of speed food in that soup bowl right there: butternut squash, onion, peppers (won't cheat and call that 2serves of speed, just cos it's 2 different colours :rotfl:).
I might count my speeds this week-hope maman isn't on holidays this week-I am hoping to impress :D

  • Well done Saver-upper on your loss and on surviving the school hols :T.

Hope you enjoy the hash maman :D

More painting here today - well this morning for me and then I am out for afternoon tea with a friend (whoops :o) so I will be saintly for the rest of the day.

Still got to book a posh afternoon tea that we received as a Christmas pressie - thought I would leave it till summer as venue has beautiful grounds and I thought it would be good to leave it until summer (hope I haven't left it too late) :rotfl:

Booked a 6 week countdown last night which will probably see me through til October (Christmas starts in Oct at SW) when there will probably be a promotion on the countdowns so that people can get slim for Christmas. :D

Going for a wander down to Mum's shortly (we are both early birds) and I will have my coffee and banana to get me started for the day.

  • Morning all, just a quick check in from Sunny Scotland at the in-laws.

It was as I feared and I haven't been particularly on track with food... but it could have been a whole lot worse. Will get straight back on it again when we get home and hope for the best! :)
