MissTara - good luck with your double shift. What do you do?

Thanks Bob, this morning has not been particularly great but now have an hour break and hopefully the late shift will be better. I'm a mental health support worker working with people with schizophrenia in my main job, 2nd job is people with MS, Huntington's, acquired brain injuries, etc. Both challenging but very rewarding jobs :D

Bob - yes DD is 11, we are waiting for her bus pass to come through and have all the bus times but to get all the way there and back is 2 buses each time. She is going with her friend's mum in the morning and I'm doing p.m, in the future she may drop them at a bus station half way and I'll pick up from there so it's just one bus each way - the downside is it's £35/month for a bus pass:eek:.

Dolly - Wow that isnt cheap is it. Plus it must be a slight worry having a change for her to deal with? as in 2 buses that is.

Traveller - How nice to see you back. I hope your daughter will really enjoy her degree, although its one of the hardest isnt it? Well done on your DF progress, exciting as anything to be into the end zone!
Yep not long now, its a month on saturday.

Just home from work. Son is shattered after his first half day back. Tommorow will be a rude awakeneing (first full day) he and OH are playing something on the computer. Im going to waddle off with my tips in search of anything YS at Mr T, now is quite a good time to go, then I need to get on with lunchbox/dinner prep.

Sort of exciting, but we have a film crew coming to the cafe next thursday, just for a short piece on some of the places that use their loyalty programme. I have stipulated I dont want to be interviewed, but dont mind being seen in the background. Its good for us as it will expose the place to a wider audience, always useful.

    See you later!

    Bob

P.S Am claiming an NSD as spending tips/loyalty points only doesnt count in my book.

  • A no spend day today, took all my food to work and making dinner from stuff I've got in! And despite it being 16 degrees in my flat the heating is staying off!

    Feeling virtuous

Ooh that is chilly for this early in September. Let's hope it warms up soon.

Bob - how exciting - a film crew.

Managed the two school runs in under an hour today and am having a revised plan for tomorrow.

I am nipping to Asda after tea to get some pepperoni for tomorrows home made pizza and some lunchbox bits for tomorrow. Will do a full shop at Lidl on Saturday.

    Hi everyone!

It's cold here today too. Am wrapped up in my winter clothes determined not to put the heating on!

Had a phone call this morning saying doc needed to see DS urgently as his test results had flagged something up. So spent all morning stressing about it and finished work early to take him, only to be told there's nothing to worry about - his sugar levels were low but they are not concerned. Wish they could have just told us that on the phone!

On the plus side, it's been a SFD. Am using up the last of the roast chicken from Monday tonight in a fried rice. Will be eating late tonight as DD has after school activities until 6.30.

Have a day off tomorrow and not sure what I will do with myself now little ones are back in school. Think I will be lost at home without them! Thinking about doing my monthly butchers shop and some batch cooking?
