How are you doing it? What's your snowball account?
Hi Pops
They way I do it is - I have 3 accounts all with the same bank.
Current account - all DDs go from this account on the day I get paid, Ensuring they all get paid.
Basic account - I transfer money into this account as and when. This is what I call my snowball account. I save up as much as I can throughout the month ready for my CCs to come in. I use this money to work alongside my snowball calculator thingy so I know how much I need. Its taken me a while to get ahead of myself by stashing money away. So I am able to pay CCs as soon as they come in. Then I start the same process again, squireling money away through the month so I am now technically working a month ahead of myself.
On line savings account - This is where I keep my EF. I round down my accounts regularly and transfer he odd amounts into this one.
OH gets paid weekly into the current account also. He doesnt earn a great deal but I budget this weekly. OH takes what he needs for the week (it never lasts him) and then I leave about £50 in there for just in case purposes.
I transfer some to my basic account to build up my snowball. I do the grocery shopping and pay TV licence and my Virgin bill. I pay some on this weekly to avoid a big bill every month.
I can transfer money backwards and forwards as many times as I need to.
My snowball that I did I copied it and pasted it into my email and sent myself a copy. I now have a copy of it on my phone (email) to check when I need to.
I have to keep as much as possible away from the main account as OH thinks he can draw out when he feels like it (men)
It all sounds so confusing but it works for me.
I have to keep on top of it all but its the only way I know where my money is going
When I see I have money saved I have to avoid temptation to think Hey I have money lets buy something. This will be like this for a while yet but its my mess and I need a big broom to sweep it all up.
Hope you are all well :ASP 9#531=£620/SP 10 # 531=?PDBX 2016 #2 = £16,766.67/£12,000

Finally sorted my car insurance.
After shopping around on lots of comparison sites, badgering my current provider for my renewal price I finally got my current provider to quote me and wait for it ......
£60 cheaper than last year
I said thank you very much that will do nicely
As the lady was getting ready to take my payment she said I will debit the same card as last time. The card ending in ####
No thank you lady, that's a Credit Card. This time I will be using my Debit Card :T
For as long as I can remember I have put my car insurance on a CC but this time I have been able to pay for it from my own money and not someone elses.
Feeling quite proud of myself at the moment
Hope everyone is wellSP 9#531=£620/SP 10 # 531=?PDBX 2016 #2 = £16,766.67/£12,000

That is my ultimate goal. To finally (one day) to be rid of the dreaded CCs.
Paying my car insurance today is just a little step forward for me. I aim to keep taking little steps until I finally get there
I'm sure there will be a few backward steps (I've had a couple already) but its all part of the journey I suppose.
