I read today that Corbyn will take part in little or no PMQs, and will instead delegate responsibility for this to other Labour MPs........
That's one way to provide leadership, I suppose......Maybe he will bring in a super-sub from a different team, like Gerry Adams or Martin McGuiness ?
Very unlikely. Particularly since neither of them ever atttend the Commons. Sinn Fein MPs do not take their seats as a matter of policy.0 -

The Greek situation hasn't played out yet. I suspect that the Grexit will be back on the cards by this time next year, polarising the austerity and left-wing positions even further."When the people fear the government there is tyranny, when the government fears the people there is liberty." - Thomas Jefferson0 -
Here's a little what if for you all. Suppose the Tories used the same set of rules for their leadership election would we see the likes of John Redwood leading the party?
Well there will be a Tory leadership contest between the EU referendum and the next general election. I can certainly see Jacob Rees-Mogg trying to mount a leadership campaign with the aim of taking the party out to the right of UKIP."When the people fear the government there is tyranny, when the government fears the people there is liberty." - Thomas Jefferson0 -

When push came to shove. Even the anti austerity party split. Principles are fine. But as Greece needed the money it had to come to a compromise. There's far bigger issues on the horizon than Greece if the world economy continues to slow down.0 -

Depends on the result of the upcoming election. But, given that Syriza is now committed to the third bailout and has jettisoned the left, it doesn't seem that likely.0 -
Being friendly with someone does not mean you like them, agree or support them.
Most of us are friendly with colleagues whom we don't like personally or professionally but have to work with and that's the best way to work towards an outcome.
There's a difference between being professional and posing as someone's best buddy.
Closing the channels of communication and refusing to speak with people would simply not work in many areas of professional work.
No. This is purely a personal opinion and response on my part. Anyone who gets an endorsement from Gerry Adams is automatically tainted in my eyes. I completely understand the logic, argument, means to an end etc. I understand others negotiated. But the distinction is 'between gritted teeth' and ' I share your pain comrade'. I would despise Corbyn solely on the basis of his relationship with that murderous thug.0 -

So do you expect the Greek public to support Syriza who abandoned the policies that got them elected and ignored their own referendum, or vote for the new left wing promising to deliver what Syriza failed to do?"When the people fear the government there is tyranny, when the government fears the people there is liberty." - Thomas Jefferson0 -

Corbyn hasn't been neutral though. Being seen with certain people and organisations and not others. Paints a clear picture.0 -

For what it's worth, Greek opinion polls are showing Syriza and New Democracy running pretty much neck-and-neck, with Popular Unity (that's the anti-bailout ex-Syriza left faction) in single figures at around 3%-5%.
See, for example

On the matter of "friends", rationalized above as being "freindly" and thus only polite.
There is a huge difference between declaring oneself friends with someone and being friendly" with them.
On the matter of Corbyn not representing himself at PM question time, I've heard that rationalized as some sort of manifestation of communal policy sharing. If, repeat If, that will be his approach the people would rightly be puzzled if there was a leader of the Labour Party or a secretariat.
I kind of hope Corbyn does go that route for I think it will hasten his departure, which would be better for all concerned, including the Labour Party, (excluding the Loony Left of course).Union, not Disunion
I have a Right Wing and a Left Wing.
It's the only way to fly straight.0
