Fantastic result today, at last some hope for the majority of society in the UK. Hope for a better political system and hope for a better financial system.
Sad news... prediction for house price inflation in south west... Increased from 3 % to 6 %....
House price inflation above wage inflation is simply socially corrosive. It will drive down housing standards forcing families to live in smaller spaces, moving further from work. Also, it creates more debt and chains us to working harder for longer....
Our monetary system feeds on debt.... not surprisingly .... we continue to fail to build enough houses.Peace.0 -
Apparently JC has eMailed Labour members requesting suggestions for what he should ask Cameron.
In my view he should start with "nice suit, do they sell men's clothes where you got that?" and proceed to conduct PMQs for his entire tenure by paraphrasing 80s film quotes.
I am about as far from Corbyn's politics as it is possible to get but at least he is actually a labour politician rather than an upper middle class twit who will say whatever a focus group wants him to in order to get into power, like the nulabour mob. It is pretty boring having two main parties whose policies are basically the same but who spend the entire time telling us how different they are. Seeing someone like Liz Kendall on TV going on about how she is desperate to get the hated tories out despite basically being a Tory herself is pretty dull.0 -

it would appear that about 99% of UK voters chose not to vote for Corbyn: certainly indicates some hope for the majority of society.
the SW has plenty of land : sadly the idiot voters don't chose to vote to free land for building.0 -

Translated: the poor layabouts who can't be bothered to make something of themselves and would rather be nursed all their lives now have someone to vote for again.... when they're told to of course by union owned media organisations.0 -

A Corbyn government will be a disaster for Claptons.0 -

Doesn't have long to do so.0 -

This guy is a maverick. That somehow has to build credibility. Not just here at home but globally with so many entities.
Be interesting to see a pacifist comments on the build up of an increasing Russian military presence in Russia.0 -

How about "What does the Labour party even exist in this day and age" - that would stump everyone.I am not a financial adviser and neither do I play one on television. I might occasionally give bad advice but at least it's free.
Like all religions, the Faith of the Invisible Pink Unicorns is based upon both logic and faith. We have faith that they are pink; we logically know that they are invisible because we can't see them.0 -
He didnt really want the job and is clearly a maverick, not in hoc to the party machine. His family are already receiving the press 'raking over everything ' experience. Add to this the whispering campaign he'll be subject to from his own backbenches and of course the very effective tory spin machine will define him as a red under the bed...cf Fallons interview. Can't see him lasting long......Hope I'm wrong because he is a fundamentally decent man.0

You say fundamentally decent, I say deluded fool out to ruin the middle classes of the UK in the name of his unique and antiquated view of fairness.0
