Corbynomics: A Dystopia

A nice balanced view of today's events from the Daily Mail.Jeremy Corbyn's election as Labour leader was today branded a 'f***ing disaster' by senior members of his own party.
Modernisers who hoped to find a candidate who can take on the Tories are utterly dismayed at being led by the Marxist throwback who opposes austerity, the monarchy and Britain's membership.

Personally I am delighted those 8 have left. Weeds out the rightists.
Their names have been taken.0 -

Excellent stuff, you have to love a bit of good solid Democracy in action
Now how exactly do I go about getting my name removed from the Labour party supporter list0 -
Great news that Corbyn won! The more labour move to the left, the less votes that they will get in the next GE, the Tory party must just be loving this.Chuck Norris can kill two stones with one birdThe only time Chuck Norris was wrong was when he thought he had made a mistakeChuck Norris puts the "laughter" in "manslaughter".I've started running again, after several injuries had forced me to stop0

They don't look like they're loving it. Cameron looks like he's trying to swallow a thistle.0 -

Oh they are loving it, and I am too. I didn't want someone capable of winning the middle ground vote, and I got exactly what I wanted. The sensible labour voters will be disappointed, whereas the simpler ones will be rejoicing.Chuck Norris can kill two stones with one birdThe only time Chuck Norris was wrong was when he thought he had made a mistakeChuck Norris puts the "laughter" in "manslaughter".I've started running again, after several injuries had forced me to stop0 -
nicola wanted Cameron to win
cameron wanted Corbyn to win
corbyn ... oh dear didn't actually want to win0 -
I must admit that when I heard that Corbyn had won the leadership of Labour, I had to look the name up on wikipedia.
It seems this party was in power for the 1st decade of this century but little has been heard from them since then.I am not a financial adviser and neither do I play one on television. I might occasionally give bad advice but at least it's free.
Like all religions, the Faith of the Invisible Pink Unicorns is based upon both logic and faith. We have faith that they are pink; we logically know that they are invisible because we can't see them.0 -
I wouldn't necessarily say it's good news for the Tories. They'll be dragged to the left (there is plenty of scope for it if Corbyn sticks to his guns). So fag-packet analysis might suggest a Tory win is now more likely, but on a much more centrist manifesto than they might otherwise have fought on. So in a roundabout way Corbyn might achieve some of his aims even by losing.
Of course it's faintly ridiculous to make precise predictions on how something so far off might pan out, especially in these fairly unknown waters.0
