He's a cheeky one, mrs mp - should do his own sweaty washing!

CY hope today hasn't been 'orrible and that you don't feel too grim xxx

My laundry is sorted and I'm getting on with packing. We've all had hair snipped and I'm going to chuck the kiddies in the bath very soon.

I too almost enrolled at college, piggers! What will he be doing? I can't get the days to fit around paid stuff but they said it starts again in Jan on a different schedule which might work.

DS tried on his school shoes and they still fit plenty and are in good condition, so I think we are all set for back to school. Although we do have a couple of days when we get back, I'd rather not spend them shopping!

Anyway, I'm going to say ta-ta to you all now, I'll do the last of the list updates tonight then I'll be away for just over a week, I may lurk from afar, but I sure won't be flying :D

Pigpen you've been busy, looks like loads has been crammed into your day.

Boys have now decided they have a youth council meeting tonight so are going out, they'll have to have late tea now when they get back but it means we might get another DVD watched and in the Cs bag while they are out.

Thank you pigpen :A - much appreciated  You appear to have had a productive couple of days - I hope you're enjoying your share of your own bounty too ;)

I am pleased to say that I have dealt with two more boxes this afternoon. They have less in them than most of the others (the leather sandals you found for me brought back memories of a nightmare journey to visit you, mrs-mp!) but it means that I now only have 2 sets of 3 boxes to do, and can begin to see light at the end of what has been a very long tunnel. And the sun has been shining for most of the afternoon, so my washing has a chance of drying before nightfall.

Your DD has acted in a very mature manner, Valli. I'm sure her friend will have appreciated her presence.

Have a good holiday, Bossy, and thanks for your lists this week - even though I have not done much, I have read them and thought of all I could have been doing if I hadn't got so much else to do, IYSWIM :p

 to CY and  to LW

Another load of washing blowing in the wind. Trying to defrost pastry in a hurry for an early supper. Not clever.

Funeral went well, I was pleased DD went because she was the only friend of the eldest daughter who DID attend. Another (mutual of theirs) friends didn't go - firstly because she was 'at the dentist' so we got to the wake. No sign of friend. She apparently 'had no way of getting there' So we offered to pick her up. Next excuse 'nothing to wear' then 'she couldn't come because someone had lost a baby and she was comforting her'. So, reading between the lines she either CBA or just couldn't face it.
Although the deceased had been very ill he was recovering well from an op and this was an unexpected death.
Probably couldn't face it and didn't know how to say this. Mr LW's dad was the same with funerals, as is Mr LW. Glad it went well.

Injection done in left wrist. He only does one paw at a time, as you have to try not to use the paw for 24-36 hours, so doing both in one hit would make life awkward to say the least. It hurt, but I know it will be a lot less pain in the long run, Right paw scheduled for 17th September. Flying tomorrow - just what I can do one-handed, really.

Thankfully Lizzie was very well behaved on her walk; and of course I have her lead attached to my belt, so I'm not actually holding onto it for the entire walk.:o

FWIW I think she probably couldn't face it. A shame, as it probably wouldn't have been as dreadful as she was expecting IYSWIM. Celebrant was the same one who did my friend's dad's funeral early this year, and he is very very good.

Had my tea. Due to funeral I missed out on a meet up and rattle with colleagues and former colleagues. One has just rung me up - fortuitously, as I had promised to go over and do some planning/prep tomorrow (and I had forgotten!). Unfortunately I think DD is on a split shift, so I won't be able to ferry her.

Last week of the hols next week. Mater came this morning and commented on how much I have achieved!
