It took me a bit longer than HH, but I have finished the set of boxes that I was working on, and also hung out one load of washing and folded another that had dried indoors overnight.

Short break for lunch now, then expenses claim, then more box sorting. Still hoping that I will have time to do the lawn before it gets dark tonight or the rains come again - looking a bit grey and drizzly out there now that I've got 2 loads hanging out and another to come - I really don't know how DH manages to create so much dirty washing

A 5-minute torrential downpour has rinsed my washing again  but now the sun has come out. Thought this was high summer! I have rescued the nearly-dry bedlinen off the whirligig and am finishing it off in the TD, but the other 2 loads will have to take pot luck.

Another phonecall has been made, and my expenses are done. Mmm, which of my boxes shall I tackle next....? Decisions, decisions... :o

We had a 2 or 3 minute shower between bringing one whirligigs worth in and taking the next load out, sunny and bright here again now.
Just sent the email I've been debating over all day, now send has been pressed I feel quite liberated.
All dried washing has been folded and put away and socks paired, nothing for the ironing basket on that load.
Oh apparently I now appear to take in washing, on holiday we went to a flogging Molly gig in Norwich (really good) anyway met a few of Ds1 s friends there so I was asked to put various phones wallets etc in my handbag along with a cardi one of them took, at the end of the night everything was returned to its owners but I went off with the cardi, gave it to DS1 and told him to return it to his friend, who's been round a few times since then, but while I was ironing there's the cardi it's just come through the wash. Asked DS2 about it when he came home from school and he said friend has been offed it but told Ds1 he'd sooner it was washed before he had it back as it 'was a bit sweaty at the gig'

This morning had an email from DS1's car insurance company he's got a black box and he's about to go over his miles. Phoned them so he needs to pay £300 up front and his DD goes up by £286 a month a total of £2500 extra. Cue many sweary words from me when I got off the phone. He's panicking so I've told him I will give him half his DD every month.

Suppose I better get something done and work my rage out. Bathroom I think.HHC at 12 if anyone fancies keeping me company bring ear plugs the air will be blue.

Might it just be cheaper for him to hire a car for the last few days of August? Or am I being irritatingly interferring, and speaking of things about which I know nothing?
    Edit
    Ironing basket. Now empty

Linky for you. (ETA That was supposed to be 'Victory Music' but 'Epic' works!)

Shower room polished, various floors sucked, kitchen surfaces and floor giving another going over. No matter how much I sweep and wash the floor in there it looks as though a herd of elephants has just been through, dragging half the savannah with them.

Another load of washing blowing in the wind. Trying to defrost pastry in a hurry for an early supper. Not clever.
    Better is good enough.

I do this all the time!

The normal list has gone out of the window this week. Oh well. Need to load the car with some stuff for the tip and walk the dog before tea. Better get on.

Funeral went well, I was pleased DD went because she was the only friend of the eldest daughter who DID attend. Another (mutual of theirs) friends didn't go - firstly because she was 'at the dentist' so we got to the wake. No sign of friend. She apparently 'had no way of getting there' So we offered to pick her up. Next excuse 'nothing to wear' then 'she couldn't come because someone had lost a baby and she was comforting her'. So, reading between the lines she either CBA or just couldn't face it.
Although the deceased had been very ill he was recovering well from an op and this was an unexpected death.

Before going I pegged out 2 lots of washing. After returning I ironed them. I also started playing catch up -
