Rach pach- that does sound fun!

I have been trying to sort out birthday party for ds1. He will be seven. The problem is we have seven cousins that come who are between 2 and 5 and he wants amped 13.

We have done swimming pool parties (which are great!) and a small soft play where you can hire the whole place, but now he's getting older it's getting more tricky!

I enquires about a disco. £220 plus room hire and then I would need to do the food, cake, party bags etc!

I have relented Into looking at a big soft play area where it will work out between £110 and £200 depending on whether we have food and whether its peak or off peak! I hate those place though but I think it might be the best option!

    Anyway, update of the list!

Part of the Furniture 1,000 Posts Photogenic I've been Money Tipped!
    Morning all!

Hugs, vibes, belated birthday wishes, spoons & sticks to all. I've been catching up over the past 2 hours between doing things so I've lost track of whats been said.

Yesterday was a lazy day as I watched with delight the sycamore tree next door get taken down :D It was a good 30ft tall and way too close to the house. Even though I was on the sunny side of it, the difference in light levels in the house is amazing. They're currently working on the other tree (some form of berry) which is at the other end of the yarden which regularly blocked the streetlight out. I was told yesterday they were pruning it but it should really be taken down as it is pressing on the wall by the alleyway. They have really hacked at it today so I'm hoping its not just pruned but is being taken down. I keep stopping to stand at the kitchen window and watch or stand in my bedroom window and watch them feeding the chipper :D My gardening chores in the autumn have just been slashed by 90% :j The dog isn't so happy though, he can't go out in the yarden except supervised as there's saw dust from the chainsaw & bits of wood chip from the stump grinder they used yesterday all over the place. There really isn't any point in clearing it if they're going to create more mess today is there :p Plus a bloke with facial hair up the tree wearing high-vis and a hardhat all of which kick our dog off barking like an idiot.

I did manage a bit of paid yesterday while I caught up on some TV. Today I need to do a lot more so I am ready for when the increased work load for Christmas kicks in. DD is upstairs glued to the DVD player. She's exhausted from being out 9am-5pm yesterday walking around town with her friends apparently. I don't mind as long as she has the dog up there later so I can empty out my work cupboard without him thinking everything is a toy!

I'm going to update my list, and swap the washing over. Having to use the TD due to the tree work and our need for towels :o Then its on with account updating.

    Right where's the list:

Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!
  • I am glad OH asked me not to do any washing. A small amount of washing up resulted in another puddle. But not where I expected.

This means more stress.... But increases the chance of some new kitchen units....

Piggers peaceful passing vibes for Lottie, she looks such a beautiful little dog. Lizzie sends her a gentle nuzzle, too.
Lol cat pressie I hope but it was late, was just glad it was whole as he left it on cream carpet we only got in June
    Eewww. Just...... EEEWWWWWW!!!

    Hoppy Birdday, btw.:o

CY oh no, on top of everything else! New kitchen sounds good though.

It's finally stopped raining; I fully expect the field to be flooded though, so will have to find an alternative route for Lizzie's afternoon walk.

Quick heads-up - I probably won't be around tomorrow, as I have to visit the Consultant. Probably getting a steroid injection in my wrist.

CY hope that the source of the water I'd found and cured quickly.

LW hope the injection isn't too painful and that it gives you some relief from pain.

Dh spotted his dentist appt out, it's in October half term as he's off then anyway and been advised he won't be up to going back to work after the extraction!
He's got another phone call to do for me today if he gets time, I've done the precall checks on Internet and think I've given him enough facts. Hopefully it will work in our favour.

CY definitely sounds like a new kitchen is called for!
Dusty hope you car isn't too expensive. I keep meaning to take mine in for quotes for bodywork - it is just "wear and tear" of 10 years but it really needs 2 new front bumpers as old ones are held on with tape. As the engine is still ok and we like the car (not made any more), I feel it may be worth spending a bit of money on the body. Maybe.

Did gym today, that High Intensity Interval Training again as Body Attack instructor ill. Yuk.
    Saw student for 1.5hrs.
1 load washing done and on maiden as monsoon outside (doesn't bode well for Carfest; we were going down on the motor bike).
    1 basket washing folded.
    Floordrobe cleared a bit.
Guy who was interested in the freezer is still messing me about, so have emailed the next person on the list.
Stopped off on the way back from gym to post a letter and get Euros.

The rest of the day needs to be finishing a report and getting paperwork ready for tomorrow's assessment.
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.

Busy day ut nothing achieved. M and d came round for lunch and they have now taken ds1 back for a sleepover. Peace and quiet with just one at home!

Got the mattress but when we got it back they had ordered the wrong size so had to drive and take it back. Not a happy bunny. Then to make matters worse I slipped ona wet floor. Very embarressing! Thought I'd hurt my ankle but seems ok now. Just a little achy all over. Bump seems ok though! Obviously has a lot of padding!! Lol!

    Updated list..

    Afternoon all

    Paid stuff done
    Washing dried on the maiden
    DW needs emptying

It has poured and poured here all day. Ordered new battery, need to go and pick it up in a bit. Just going to ring sisand see how she is first.

Kaz - there is only one for oil AFAIK but next to where you put the oil in there is a dipstick on my car - this is sensibly not for engine oil but something to do with the gears I think. The correct stick is on the other side - logical not.
