Ooh well done. I was just the 1lb down this morning which I suppose is better than none. It has been a difficult year in general for food/exercise balance. I'm 6lb down on my absolute worst which was a couple of months ago I suppose, but I am a good deal fitter.

This eve I managed to do a fair chunk of the report, and will spend another half hour or so on it as I'm nocturnal. The dining room is a little less cluttered, but some paperwork still to be gathered up.

Managed to finally book accommodation for when our friend from NZ is staying with us. We'd planned a route via a mutual friend in Somerset, wending the scenic route to drop him off at his next visit in the Wirral. However we were oblivious that the dates clashed with the Hay festival and the food festival in Abergavenny, so took ages to find somewhere. Let's hope T0pcashb&ck do their stuff.

The upshot of the leak last night is DH thinks it is sorted. But until he is certain he has asked that I do not do any washing today. I am sure I can manage to restrain myself.

Today is blood test day. Luckily DD1 can drop me off and pick me up from the hospital. DD2 will come with me and if the wait is reasonable we will head to to hospital C***a for a drink while we wait.

Then I am going to see DD1's flat.Really looking forward to it.

Hope everyone has a good day.

    The consultation was good.

Great news, enjoy the flat visit.

Pigpen so sad, what a lovely looking dog. Peaceful passing is wished from here.

Happy birthday Mummyroys, enjoy your day.

New worktops are on in the kitchen, just the tiling to finish when OH has the time. I decided to clear all the worktops and just keep the fruit bowl, kettle, microwave and bread bin. It actually looks a bit bare. Is it just because I am not used to it?

Not sure what today brings after the paid stuff. Very wet at the moment. Have a good Wednesday everyone!

    Morning all

Most importantly CY I'm glad all is going well, you are sounding positive and doing brilliantly.

Less importantly long day yesterday as car would not start to come home. Colleagues tried to jump it but dead. RAC got it going after 2.5 hours waiting for them. Need new battery now. RAC man showed me that DH had been checking the wrong 'oil' dipstick and my car was truly empty. I need to book a service now too. Expensive month to come as school uniform and shoes still to buy. Will delay service for a couple of weeks to hit the next CC statement.

Paid stuff and sorting new battery today. DS2 already away to work, DH about to go.

Bank account checking and sorting a CS bag for me first.

Gentle passing wishes for Piggers Mum's doggie.

CY Enjoy your trip to the flat and good luck on getting a new kitchen with the insurance company.

Dusty -- ouch what a waste of your time. I hope it doesn't come in too expensive.

    Ionafan - Fabulous weight loss!

I had a nice evening with my friends. I may have converted 2 of them to come to Zumba.

DH came home from work with a black eye. He said he was in a meeting and could feel it getting puffy. The man he was with didn't say anything. At the end of the meeting he went to the bathroom and was confronted with a black eye. I'm worried its his blood pressure but he's taken it and says its ok. He won't ring the doctor.

Bouncy fun at the cricket club is cancelled due to the bad weather so I have another day to fly. I will take the CS Bags to the shop and try to make headway with clutter in the kids bedrooms. I've warned DS1 and DS2 that if they don't empty and put away their suitcases (we came back 6 days ago) I will stop cooking for them.

I have a couple of phone calls to make today. A friend to visit to sort out a bit of reciprocal childcare. Lastly swimming this afternoon.

Wishing everyone a good day x
