What-ho, CY. :oGlad you've got some reasonably good news. Hopefully with them cranking down the chemo a bit, you won't feel so wiped out.

  • Just been catching up, glad there's lots of postitive stuff happening.

Am in this week although most will happen Thursday as other things going on. Not too worried as most spaces are OK ticking over with basic dailies this week and I should be able to do a more thorough clean through later next week when the kids are back at school (the holiday has seemed so long but not really IYKWIM).

Anyway, have continued to move things around, getting rid of loads to CS/bin and house much easier to keep sorted and tidy, usually at this point of the holiday I've given up but not this time :)

Will go through as much of the list as poss on Thursday.

Some washing to go away then must make a start on tea.

    ^^^ wot she said.

The torrential rain today means that the very brief sunny warm weather is only going to get soggy dog stuff dryish before the next bout of torrential rain comes through. I've decided not to bother with playing the washing hokey cokey so I'm not bothering with it until Thursday night / Friday to do any. I can't see the WM any more the pile is so high but I can't face the thought of wet washing festooning the place for days on end.

I did 15 minutes dusting yesterday, which is a lot of dusting for me. Can't say I've noticed the difference.
    Better is good enough.

Had an interesting last hour. We found a damp patch of carpet where the living room meets the kitchen. DH pulled up the lino and discovered the whole concrete floor was soaking. We have located the source of the leak( under the sink) and pulled up the lino

OH was trying to tell me the lino would dry out. I have always hated that lino and I am hoping we may get a new kitchen as a result...

Hope everyone coped with what has been (for us anyway) a very soggy day! I managed to get some stuff done this morning before we went out. If it is gone, I've either done it or it doesn't apply here.

    Kitchen and dining room
    Wipe windowsill
Wipe down any edges - kickboards, sides of cupboards (and fronts of cupboards)

So not bad, really! Like I said some of that stuff was done on Sunday and was still in ok condition! I'm going tho leave those there to see if I get chance later in the week. Added cupboard fronts to my list as they could do with a scrub!

This happened to us a few years ago. The water was from some old pipe work hidden behind the sink or dishwasher or something. Anyway, our insurance paid for drying equipment, new Lino, new hall carpet and new fitted kitchen! I think they also relaid the concrete floor surface! Might be worth looking into.
