Of course.
That's the reason I posted here in the 1st place.
I wanted a different perspective on the matter and I now have that.
I believed I was wronged and tesco have acknowledged that I was.

So Tesco have not apologised, but have acknowledged you were "wronged". How did that conversation go?0 -
Guess I should feel annoyed that 9 times out of 10 when I use shop and scan I get chosen to have my shopping scanned0

Was it the same assistant that authorised the sale of alcohol who subsequently stopped you? Were you just buying beer? If so, you must have put the two bottles through at much the same time, so why would the assistant authorise the first one without noticing you were about to scan a second one?
When did the eventual apology happen? You first said they had just commented "okay" and let you go.I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe

Probably went back the next day, said that they'd been accused of shoplifting (which they hadn't) and then Tesco apologised on that basis.

I know on most self scans I have seen (Asda for sure) they have signs about random checks being part of using self scan.
Seriously this is not something to feel aggrieved over.
Also known as theft.0 -
Nope it's accusing someone of making a mistake. He had not left the shop, nobody said stealing or theft.0

You might want to refresh your memory farmer, the whole point of your post was (apparently) that they had not apologised!
That's right, at the time of posting. Since then I have spoken with tesco.Started advent comps 04.12.2013
