Yes they do, they have a hard drive they record to so when watching back you can fast forward through the ads. I do like the Sky Q box a lot, just can’t justify the cost if not offered a good enough deal.
The concern I have with the recent crop of streaming systems is they force you to watch adverts - like Youtube, and you can't spin forwards when the adverts turn up?
I'm now officially out of contract as far as I can tell. Waiting for the win back people to work some magic.
I do know that some of the more enterprising sales people Sky used to these posts, I wonder if they still keep an eye on them?0 -

My Sky TV deal runs out mid Jan. ,so I'll soon be joining the cancellations merry go round, especially as my HD box is now very unreliable. Currently paying £38pm that is supposed to go up to £72pm !! (not happening!)
Had to laugh as I've just received an email from Sky telling me "not to worry" as they are going to extend my deal into the future - except they aren't as they are proposing a price of £60pm, so still an increase of £22pm - no thanks ,Mr Sky !0 -
Considering the last offer-
£33 pm for; new SkyboxQ, no admin, one off £20 off this month, Signature, Cinema, UHD
Is that offer actually any good?
The assistant said it was 50% off.0 -

I spoke to cancellations today. They admitted straight out that the prices for new customers are far keener than for existing customers. Being a VIP Diamond Member, in effect, classifies me as a "sucker".
This is their unrelenting offer for contracting for a further 18 months:
Signature £27
Sky Sports £23
No mention of Sports HD costing extra
Sky HD £5
Multiscreen £15
Total £70
Could I get an equivalent offer outside of Sky Q for a better price? My family rather boxes me into this, and they want Eurosport.
I have osteoarthritis in my hands so I speak my messages into a microphone using Dragon. Some people make "typos" but I often make "speakos".0 -
