After many years with sky, rang them up to cancel/haggle, didn't even try to offer me anything, not really sure if I'm that bothered either to be honest I don't really watch tv as there's not much on that interests me, my daughter finds the kids channels too repetitive in showing the same episodes again and again, and the wife only watches/records stuff from the beeb, itv, ch4, ch5 and dave, so they'd have to offer a damn good deal to convince me to not just switch to a dvr on freeview/freesat.0

Been with Sky for almost three years now, well out of contract but need to tighten our belts and am willing to drop package / disconnect fully if so required....
Paying £119 a month for;
Sky Q
Full package except Sports, so Cinema, HD, Entertainment, Box Sets
78mb Fibre Broadband
Phone is Pay as you talk / Rental
We also pay separate for Netflix
What would be a reasonable expectation to get the cost down to?
Dont think we would miss the movies to be honest....if it came to that.0 -

Dump the movies. Also consider a netflix break. I have done that and it saves £8 a month. You don't lose your watch list either.
We have a NowTV stick and get Sky Movies through that. Works out cheaper.0 -

I rang Sky to cancel about 3-4 weeks ago. They offered me a deal of which i think was £38 a month. They rang back a week later with the same offer and have I have heard nothing since. My cut off date is tomorrow 19/10/2019.
what should i do?0 -

Since we're not minder readers on here the first step would be to post what exactly you're getting for £38 a month.0 -
Sorry,
I just chatted with them and they offered £42 a month for Sky HD no kids package and no box sets plus super fast broadband.
She said this is the best they can do.0 -
I have found Sky so hard to deal with this time, as you know I have tried a few times through chat and even rang Sky yesterday being put through to the Win Back team... I could tell as soon as she answered the phone that the girl `really didn`t love her job .. maybe was in the middle of painting her nails and I disturbed her and she could not wait to go home!`, it was such a waste of my time. Chat gave me a TV offer on Monday but then decided to lump it in with BB (and the BB was £10 more than I am currently paying) but they will not honour the TV part despite me trying three times, it seems I have to have the BB as well which I am not prepared to sign up to.
I have just made a long list of everything we watch and my daughter has found that we can get most of it via our NowTv box (bit stuck as we had Virgin and then Sky so our aerial doesn`t now work) We can get entertainment trial for 7 days and then a months entertainment for £1 using our Clubcard vouchers, so nothing lost if we don`t like it. So we are going to bite the bullet and let Sky cut us off. I don`t think its going to be anything like as convenient as Sky and we are going to miss recording everything, it all seems to be streamed but am sure after a week or so of working our way round the system it will be fine.
TV and a multiroom box is £ 50 with sky now our offers have finished, even without the multiroom which we no longer require they are still insisting best offer is £22, which I know is expensive.
Like most of you, I am so fed up with being a loyal customer with all these companies and then having to ring and grovel for the pleasure of keeping their services! That`s an update on where we are up to.
I hope those of you trying for a good deal manage have better luck than me, maybe might get contact when we have left, who knows?
Please can I ask those of you who use NowTv, I`player, ITV hub etc how do you find it please?0 -

Apologies, I meant to put a smiley on the end of it, it ended up looking sterner than I intended.
Do you know what the break down is? Is it £11 for Entertainment, £1 for HD and £30 for BB for instance.0 -

Did a Sky chat today - didn't feed them any sob story, just cut to the chase, reduce my bill to around what I paid for when I started or i am offski.
Reduced to £73/Month with the same package, although its all been re-branded / moved around since we signed up so certain items are bundled differently which has led to some of the reduction.
Have also now moved Netflix into Sky Ultimate on Demand, so a further £11.99 saving there.
Was £119 a month (£131 incl Netflix, billed by Netflix)
Now £73 a month incl Netflix billed by Sky, saving of £58/month.
Was:- TV;
- Box Sets £41.50
- Sky Cinema £19
- Sky Q MultiScreen £13
- BB & Talk;
- Line Rental £18.99
- Sky Fibre max £27
Now:- TV;
- Sky Entertainment £15
- Ultimate on Demand £5
- Sky Cinema £11
- Sky HD £2
- Sky Q MultiScreen £13
- BB & Talk;
- Sky BB Superfast £27
- Sky Talk Line Rental (Free)
