Would really appreciate some advice from the experts on here...

Am a Sky+HD customer with everything-but-movies and 1 multiroom sub. Last year for the first time I realised I was very much over-paying and I gave notice to cancel. I got a deal via the sky.com/mydeal link for £52 a month which is now coming to an end (going up to £89). I contacted cancellations yesterday who gave me a not-great offer to stay, so I declined and let the cancellation go ahead.

I was surprised to check the 'mydeal' link today and the same package would be £57. Entertainment alone is £19 and Sports £22! Seems odd when others are getting £15 / £17 respectively...

I figured I'd give haggling another go on the chat, but when I go back to the same 'cancel' chat as I was yesterday it now tells me that as a pending-cancel customer I need to ring them. I'd really rather not do that.

Any tips on the best way to contact them to get a better deal, and how to reach them on chat? Thanks!

Have you got a smartphone? Download the MySky app and see what deal shows on that or just press the yellow button on your remote control while watching any channel on your TV to bring up your account and see what deals show there too.

Also try https://www.sky.com/comebacktosky and start a live chat that way and see what they offer.

    Hope this helps.

Thanks for that. No offers showing in the app, and trying the offers link using the yellow button just shows an error, but it was really the chat that I was looking for. First attempt today has given me a worse offer than even yesterday, so I guess I'll just leave it alone for a while now...

Hmmm thats odd. Normally offers should start to appear the moment you put in your cancellation. Give it a week or so and see if anything changes, Or go back onto live chat and say that you've changed your mind and don't want to cancel.

Thats what I did with the come back to sky link and they offered me Entertainment for £15, Boxsets £1 and HD £1.

Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.

That seems to be the standard 'best deal' at the moment for the basics. I've just accepted the same:
    Entertainment for £15, Boxsets £1 and HD £1 = £17 total
It's more than the £13.69 or less that I've been paying for the last year for the same thing, but it's as good as I'm going to get now I think. I think I read someone got it £2 cheaper a few pages ago, but the above seems to be the standard best deal during cancellation at the moment.

Yeah I was very surprised that the chat agent claimed £20 entertainment and £22 sports was the best he could do. Also the 'mydeal' link is barely better with entertainment at £19 and sports

@Dave_Gosport and @scarletjim - are you both Sky+HD or SkyQ customers?

Sorry, should've said - I'm a Sky+HD customer, have never had SkyQ (yet).

Same here. Who offered you the £15 deal, did that come immediately during the cancellation chat?

No - offers during the original cancellation chat were rubbish, so I cancelled. Over the next fortnight, I checked the various places every few days (TV, mobile app, desktop site) and didn't see anything. Then I saw a post above where someone mentioned sky.com/mydeal - I went to this, and it showed me the £15 deal. So it might be worth you seeing if there is anything there for you.

Unfortunately that link shows me a deal for £19 not £15. I wonder how they decide who gets which one!!
