I have sky tv (entertainment, box sets, HD, And kids) talk and unlimited broadband.
My bill full price should be £70
I have had deals every year for quite a few years, usually negotiating it to around £25.
Last year I really struggled and the best deal I could get was £33, which was more than I liked and I was very tempted to cancel and go elsewhere but my family convinced me to stay.
I’ve been bitter about it all year.
My deal runs out this month so I requested a cancellation, I don’t usually bother haggling until the cancellation is almost up as i find it pointless but the agent refused to process my cancellation until I heard the deal.
£47 for everything, with a £10 admin fee, obviously I refused.
So now we are in the cancellation and I’ll wait until 1 week before the cancellation to try to negotiate a good deal.0 -
Success!! Just got £42/month off bill and an upgrade to Sky Q. I have the full tv package which would cost me £112 from April - reduced to £70, a saving of £504/year. Was on the phone ages but was worth it.0

Faced with a plus 15% overall increase from April and retentions would not offer anything departing from published standard offers.
I reckon Sky are digging their heels in after the takeover by Comcast.0 -

Use the online web chat.
It takes a while for them to get round to chatting with you but they tend to offer better deals so it may be worth the wait.0 -

I spent all day yesterday (off and on) and most of this morning on the "live chat" and have got no joy.
I have TV package of entertainment, sports and movies and the best they could offer was £50. I can't justify paying that so I have cancelled. Hopefully I will get a call with a better offer before the cancellation date.0 -
How the hell do you get to sky live chat? I just keep getting redirected through these endless buttons to press via their contact us page. Phone lines a busy and figured I could chat online about the price hike instead.0

Are you on Facebook? If you are go to Sky Service FB page and you’ll find the link for chatting on Messenger. I’ve used this both for my Dad and yesterday for mine.
Just accepted a deal for Entertainment, HD and Box Sets for £12pm for 18 months with a £10 one off admin fee.0 -
Hi,
I've went through to retentions earlier today and got this deal:
Entertainment £20
Box sets £4
HD £4
Kids £4
Cinema £11
Multi screen £13
Fibre Max £17
Line rental £16.49
Total £89.49
Said he couldn't do any better, so I said I wasn't sure and then called back a few hours later just to check the breakdown. Said they've got a better deal now:
Entertainment £12
Kids £5
Box sets £5
HD free
Cinema £10
Multi screen £13
Fibre Max £16.01
£18.99 line rental
Total £80pm
I got charged a £10 admin fee but he said will show on bill but he's reduced the TV package to make up for it. 18m contract.
My bill was showing £114.50 and I've got that down to £80pm. No idea if I could've got better but the equivalent package on Virgin would have been £74.50 for the full house movies bundle (inc an extra box) and not as many channels, and that was after a bit of haggling (they agreed to credit £50 for the extra box) so I'm happy with that.
Sky said that deals are changing throughout the day so it's worth calling back later if you don't get a good deal.
I've also signed up our 2 phones on the sim only deal as they are only £4.50 for 1gb or £9 for 6gb and the data that you don't use rolls over. I don't think any other companies do this, plus you can watch sky go on ipad or iphone and it doesn't count towards your data. You can also upgrade or downgrade your account whenever, so I've gone for 6gb for the first month then I'll drop it down to 1gb so I'll have plenty to play with.
P.S. I really don't recommend the sky chat - I spent about 4 hours the other day not getting anywhere then it cut off! Best to call.
Good luck everyone!0
