Given that the maximum legal length for an articulated wagon is 16.5 metres, and 12m for a rigid... Only rigid plus drawbar trailer can exceed that, 18.75m max - and you'll only very very rarely see those in cities.
The London bendys were 18m long, the "new Routemaster" is 11.2m
A current Ford Focus hatch is just under 4.5m, a Focus estate just over. Even a Fiesta is just over 4m.
You win, we'll call it four car lengths shall we, despite doing that there lundun centre fleet work for over 20 years i haven't a clue what used to fit and what lengths were involved even with all the overhangs involved both ends and hydraulic deck extenders in use.
