So crawling is allowed. Nice one.

Why would you need to crawl?

Because your exit isn't clear so if you had to stop offence complete.

But if you accidentally enter a box and then realise straight away, you can just crawl at 1-2mph without breaking the law.

    Then you're not looking.

So it is allowed to stop in the box for other reasons as long as the exit to the box is not blocked by other vehicles?

.... and hope the exit clears before having to stop. (The same thought had crossed my mind reading this thread. Not that I condone such actions - I'm a firm believer in treating yellow box junctions correctly).

The problem may be the cameras monitoring the junction may not detect the very slow movement and assume you've stopped. The problem then would be proving you were moving.

Correct, but I'm not getting fined.

Not that they have that sort of technology where I live.

Would they not need to prove that I wasn't moving? Oh dear. I think I've started something.

I normally treat a yellow box as do not enter unless you are 100% sure you can get out of the other end. Just the very few occasions when you don't realise.

Yes they would and the proximity of your vehicle to the yellow lines would clearly show movement.
