well I am still slopping around in my dressing gown :o cant seem to get motivated today. I have sorted out the kitchen and cleaned the shower while I was in it but thats it. DD is still in her pj's too

frogga my name 'oops a daisy' is because I am so accident prone and find myself saying 'oops a daisy' quite a few times a day  not to mention having an un canny knack of putting my foot in it regularly too.

The dress looks lovely rzl - try going wheat free for a few days, I was recommended this a while ago and it works.

right MUST move my butt - need to get some bits from Tesco's on my bike. I cant believe that I have actually ran out of tinned tomatoes - I was sure they just re produced in the back of my cupboard :D I think it will be Quorn spag bol or chilli con carni for dinner tonight.

Hope you are all having a more productive day than me today :hello:

  • Thanks, frogga, but I'm not near enough you to get there and back in time to get dinner sorted. LOL

Just popped in to my head yesterday about what I'm gonna put the trifle in for today; will keep my eye out for one; it can double as a frut bowl when I'm not putting trifle in it!

Will let you know how the raclette goes!

Frogga, my Id is because I do a lot of different crafts (well i used to) and have the odds+sods for all of them!
  • Morning all

I was laughing at PsychoKitty's antics, FBThree - when I got my kittens, OH refused to ever allow them to sleep upstairs at night (we have a handy door to shut them downstairs) and 'decatting' is part of our nightly routine. The odd time they escape, they cause havoc! Thomas William loves rummaging in the bedside drawers and Tabitha is a pummeller (if that's a word).

Frogga and others - I'm with you on the diet. I've got about seven stone to lose and it's contributing to my depression. I've just had my metabolic rate tested (the hospital research I was doing the other day) and it is slow, so I need to exercise as well, which is difficult because I injured my knee climbing two years ago, which led to the weight gain, which makes my knee worse and on it goes..... I have so much will power in so many areas of my life, but when I'm hungry all sense goes out of the window, especially when I'm premenstrual.

Hope you all have a good day. My FIL is arriving soon for the weekend and after I've spent a couple of hours with him I'm escaping to my friend's for a sleepover.

well its bad news on the car front. water pump has gone. new one getting fitted on monday.

that kind of limits the activities I had planned, but cant be helped. at least it happened close to home.

will borrow OH car later to go to supermarket. Just as well I worked all those extra hours this week, looks like I will need cash.

I'm finally out of bed & feeling loads better, thanks for all the good wishes.

Frogga my name is made up from hubbys surname & the fact that I'm hard up. I still get periodic trouble with my ex, he hacked into my Amazon account a few months ago, he sent CGI nude pics of me to places where I've worked & advertised my services as a hooker on various websites, mostly his antics are curtailed by his new wife, but I have got into the habit of discretion now & it's hard to break. He doesn't know hubby's surname as I still use my maiden name it just make me harder to track down.
    Hugs Hester

P S A CGI pic means computer generated image, my face added on to someone elses body, before too many people are shocked.

    Hi everyone.

Tired Mum Have a great birthday!

Another rainy day here but we're off to MIL's soon as we haven't seen her for three weeks. I made spag bol last night so I'm taking it over to her's for our tea. While we are there we will do some jobs for her, shopping, cleaning, launderette etc.
We've been doing this for almost a year now as she had a knee operation (twice) and is still walking on a frame. She insisted on having this operation but unfortunately as she is nearly 82 and quite unfit it hasn't gone according to plan. The weekly visits would be made easier if she was a little more grateful towards my DH, instead of moaning about everything. I'm hoping that after a three week break she might appreciate us a bit more, alternatively she might try to make DH feel guilty for going on holiday. Unfortunately she has done this in the past and we're getting a bit fed up of it.
Right that's my moan over with! I'm off to fry an egg for my lunch.
    have a good day.

    Afternoon all,

Jackie O, It's great to see you back and still in high spirits...you're an inspiration to us all.
Jockettuk, I hope you get on ok at the hospital and so glad that your dd coped well with it.
Odds_n_sods, can't wait to hear how you get on with your raclette.
Frogga, Have you seen the lose weight thread on the I wanna board? It's a great thread where people trying to lose weight support each other.
Crazychick, I hope you manage to get away on holiday.

Happy Birthday tired mum, I hope you have a great day!:bdaycake:

Just a quick post from me as things are a bit mad here...we found out this week that the little one isn't going to have the operation to remove the rods from his arm for a while yet... so we decided what the heck, and have booked to go to Tenerife next week. We've never been there and haven't a clue what it will be like but at least now that he has the plaster off he will be able to swim in the pool and the sea. So I'm in a complete panic trying to organise the back to school stuff before we go as well as all the holiday bits and pieces.

Also the central heating has broken down...I think it's something to do with the timer. Mr Pink (who is completely useless at anything DIY) decided he could fix it and managed to blow all the lights in the house before he was prepared to admit defeat, so now I need an electrician as well as a plumber!

Tea will be something from the storecupboard as I haven't got time to do any grocery shopping today and need to run the food down anyway. Ok, I'd better get on. Have a lovely day everyone.

  • Missed it earlier, Jockettuk, so sorry to hear of your loss.

Have you used your raclette yet, pink??

psychokitty sounds like he has a relative here - our B+W cat will wake us up anytime after 3AM to get up and give him his brekkie - he'll head-butt me, scratch DH on the back gently, flop down on our pillows, scratch the bed, all while being very vocal. Sometimes he gives up, sometimes he gets kicked out.

And they DO have me well-trained, when we moved in I tied a piece of twine on the newel post so they would have something to play with while we unpacked. It was replaced today with braided twine about 7' long. I braided it this AM while they played with the ends and my porridge was getting cold.......
