Well I have roughly £60 in my sealed pot.
One poll is at £2.40.
Just waiting for payday. Another NSD for me.
Hoping to photo graph some more things for ebay this weekend. I need to get the under bed storage cleared.0 -
One day until payday and I'm internet window shopping like you wouldn't believe. I suppose old habits do die hard.
I have resisted the urge and decided to write on here instead. I will be better once tomorrow is here and I can pay another chunk off. Its really been working leaving myself with not much cash and taking lots off the credit card. My £240 emergency fund is there if I desperately need it and I refuse to spend on the CC so it seems to be working. I actually say 'I cant afford it' more often than not now which will come in handy for the £8k savings target.
We are going away in a few weeks. All Inclusive holiday OH paid for last year. It sounds silly but its causing a bit of a mixed bag emotions wise. On one hand I am really proud of myself this time around. Usually I would go on a spendy frenzy and buy lots of new clothes/make up. I also have a little holiday savings that I've managed to build up.
On the other I feel I really shouldn't be allowed a nice holiday when I still have debt, feeling pretty guilty. I guess that won't go away easily either. On the other hand OH has commented how hard I am working at the moment. I've taken lots of extra shifts at work to try and increase my income and I have sacrificed a lot this year. (This is sounding a bit like i'm throwing myself a pity party _party_)
Anyway at least for 2 weeks I won't be able to internet shop and it will save me £30 in fuel0 -
So its Payday!!!
Another £500 off the CC. I'm holding another 500 in my account and I will pay it once the statement comes in. I'm not particularly worried about my account making me look poor at the moment that will increase once the debt has gone.
I cant wait to get under that 2k barrier.
I'm going to cash in my sealed potI desperately need a cut and colour. It hasn't been done since before Christmas and I can use the £40 in my account to pay off debt.
Other than that nothing really to report.0 -
I just id say hi and well done on how well your doing so far. Don't feel guilty about the holiday - think about how much you've changed if like you said you'd normally have been out buying new clothes etc. make the most of it being all inclusive and take a bit of time out to chill

Happy Tuesday! I ended up picking two extra shifts up at the weekend and have another this weekend.
I had the night out over the weekend for my friends birthday a low spend of £35. I'm pretty happy with that. No hangover too! :T
Also spent £22 at New Look on two new bras and some new underwear. My usual bras cost £30 each so we will see how well these cheaper alternatives hold up so to speak :rotfl:
Had a good clear out over the weekend and threw lots of cr*p away! Why do I hoard so much rubbish?
I really need to get back into the habit of using quidco. I have £4 ready to be paid and £3 tracked but I rarely remember to use it.0 -
The statement has come in for my Barclaycard. Paid another £400 off plus the interest (which I am happy to report is decreasing rapidly) :T
If I wasn't on a diet I would be eyeing up Prosecco and Choccies tonight. My debt has finally fell below the 2k barrier!!!!

I haven't checked in for a while. Been quite poorly over the last few days I've been struggling with general daily tasks over the past few days so haven't updated on here.
Just two weeks until the holiday. I have a couple of spends to declare. I spent £22 in Nandos for a treat the other night. It was a nice break from homemade food and we haven't been out in ages. Also bought a floppy hat, a pair of sandals (the ones I bought last year leave black ink on my feet) and a pair of flip flops. £12.90 in primark. To be fair although I did spend I avoided my usual jaunts for clothes. I would normally pay £40 for sandals and not bat an eye lid. I earned around £95 from my extra shifts over the weekend so my rationale is that I can afford to spend a third of that and put the other 2 3rds to debt.0 -
Hi. Don't feel bad about your holiday. You work so enjoy it, the debts are still being paid it's not like you are ignoring them. I am the same I have an all inc hol this year and debt but I pay my debt it's not getting bigger I don't want to live miserably and over pay I have happt steadily paying it off. Happy holiday

Well I'm back from the holidays new totals below.
I have cancelled my overdraft this morning. As it was fee free I never thought of it as a debt but decided as I end up in it in some shape or form each month it needed to go. I have added it to my totals.
Not paid as much off as I had hoped but still going in the right direction. 7 weeks until I am debt free.
