Realised I have had had a bit of a breakthrough *small wins and all that*. I really need some new work trousers. Instead of just going out and putting some on the credit card I have shaved my current ones with an razor haha (they were going very bobbly and have come up like new). Hoping they will last 4 weeks until March Payday when I have a little less to pay out!0

So the car failed its MOT. Not on all that much though so that's a bonus but the additional spend means this month is going to be very tight!!!
Oh well only 24 days until the next Payday!
I've paid another chunk off the credit card today. Signature updated.
Onepoll is taking forever. Why is the last bit always the hardest?
I've had a lot of spendy days unfortunately mostly on gifts. A new baby in the family and my nieces birthday also mothers day! The only other things I've spent on is petrol and getting batteries put in two watches so I can list them from eBay.
Listed lots of things on eBay. Still got plenty more to list!!!
Onwards and upwards Happy Monday guys!!!0 -
Well my Dad has been a star and paid off the rest of the cooker. That's £150 that will be put towards the car repairs and my savings for car insurance.
I've also managed to reach the £40 marker on OnePoll :T
Looking at my spreadsheet I can see that there is a definite possibility I will debt free on 26th May 2016.
That's is without the sealed pot and any funds I make from eBay.
I literally couldn't be happier :cool:0 -
So I have had a few very unfocused days. The car has come up with an engine management light and I need a new sensor at almost £140.
I have spent a small fortune on toiletries. I have tried to linger on as much as possible without my usual brand of skincare and spending money on unnecessary things. The Aldi serum Ihad bought has made my face exceptionally dry, blotchy and sensitive. There were a few offers on so I have stocked up. I got £41.50 worth for £23.50 so not too bad and will last me months.
The older mascara I was trying to use up is continually flaking and making my eyes itch. On a better note I have used up three half used jars of body butter/lotion so I needed some body butter. The shampoo I've been using has made me get some sort of eczema on my scalp. I needed a treat and I was fed up of looking as !!!!!! as I feel right now.
Anyway its out of my system now and I have bought things I know I love and will use. This is worlds away from walking aimlessly around boots and spending £50+ on stuff just to try it.
The stuff I have eBayed just doesn't seem to have much interest at all. 24th June is still my debt free date. With the car I had realised 24th May is just too tight and did not allow for any unexpected spends at all.
I suppose paying off £7k of debt in 11 months isn't anything to be ashamed of but I still wish I could do more.0 -
Trying to get back on track currently. I haven't been spending but still not been as conscious as I usually am.
I have been quite poorly over the past few days so really I haven't done much at all. Some good news for a change I've won £30. That will help pay for petrol etc. Two weeks until payday. I'm going to aim to not spend a extra penny over the next two weeks as I have a budget of £30 for the fortnight.
Although bringing my DFD a month forward will not be possible I need to look at my journey as a whole. In 14 weeks I will be debt free.0 -
Hello! I just wanted to pop in and let you know how inspiring it has been to read your diary. Some I have read and they seem to take forever, yours is practically disappearing in front of my eyes!
Good luck with the rest - keep focussed, you are ALMOST there!£2699 credit card (£3848 01.02.23)
£1023 Ski fund (cash back, interest, ebay sales only). Used in April 23
£39.75 Italy fund (cash back, interest, ebay sales only0 -
Thank you so much Sugar-Walsh. I have it easy really I don't have many otugoings at all but its still hard not to see that money in my account as free cash to do whatever I want with.
Another payment off the CC this morning new totals below.
One advantage of the car being in the garage is that I really haven't used much fuel this month.
Tried to motivate myself even more this weekend and looked at show homes again. It really helped. I need to be committed to savings after the debt has gone.
Happy Monday all!0 -
Posted off more things today for ebay. I've been naughty and spent the proceeds of my last batch on a new electric toothbrush. Mine gave up the ghost but decided to go for a basic version this time at £25. Do you really need 8 cleaning modes?!?
Diet is going pretty well. Its amazing how much cheaper it is not to snack at work. Before I would have easily spend £15 a week on trips to the vending machine and canteen.
Looking forward I am making a target of £8k saved before Christmas. It will be a bit of a stretch but luckily my OH has kindly been contributing to my HTB ISA whilst I am paying off debt so there is already some in that.
Listing some more things tonight hopefully I still have quite a bit to shift but its going down slowly.0 -
Still plugging away here. Not much to report but less than a week until Payday.
I do find myself wishing my life away. I am really hitting the gym hard at the moment and I'm not really doing much else other than work and gym.
Looking forward to a relaxing weekend.0 -
So another NSD for me.
Just waiting for Payday right now. This weekend is going to be tough. Its my best friends birthday night out. I really don't want to go and spend any money but I haven't been out with her since Christmas. I agreed to go but I don't want to back out. I suppose i'll just have to cheap it at least my liver will thank me for soft drinks!
I'm going to empty my sealed pots today to see how much is in there. I don't want to dip in to them but I'd really like to know.
OnePoll has been paid into my car savings account so that is building up in time for the car insurance next month. Hopefully my renewal will be close to the figure I got last year. Although I am not holding my breath for this one. £240 currently in there.0
