Not a lot done today as living room was ok and didn't really need doing. I did an hour of ironing tonight and tried to get ds2 in his new room but failed. We got the curtains and curtain pole put up but there isn't enough rings on the pole so curtains aren't hanging great so need to get some more.
We also went to put his mattress in his new bed and the mattress is too big! Thought it was a standard single but apparently not! It's shorter than most singles so now got to get a new mattress that isn't going to take three weeks to deliver! Grrrrr!

    This is the frock.

The beauty of it is I can see myself wearing it for other occasions such as nights out! Just hope Mater approves.

I liked it as soon as I saw it in the window. Mightily relieved to have found it so quickly. And (bonus) I can wear black tights (thus covering veins!)

I have tidied in the DR; tidied in the LR and stripped and remade DS's bed.

I have also brought out my new diary (academic year) and started entering birthdays. Extremely opportune, it's NDN's so I whipped round with a card. They're out so they won't know I almost didn't make it;)

Part of the Furniture 1,000 Posts Photogenic I've been Money Tipped!
I've not really flown today at all. By the time I'd got my dailies on the computer done, fixed the fr33view box, then fixed the DVD player (shifting cables around, and you have to get them in just the right position or the picture breaks up. Trucks going past shake the place so much the cables move and you have to fix it again!), nagged DD to tidy up the mess she had made, had lunch, had my shower, nagged DD to eat some lunch instead of just complaining she was hungry, it was 4pm when I managed to phone the vet while stripping my bed! The meds weren't even at the vets but were being dropped off tonight so I just need to double check tomorrow morning before I leave. They apologised profusely at having to delay them again, but they said its not worth me paying out almost double the price for basically the same tablets :D I like my vets even more now :rotfl:

So I did a Mr A shop, and the other errands can be run tomorrow. DD wants to stay home so I'll print her off the list and she can work through it with her music blasting as loud as she wants as long as she answers her phone. Our attached neighbour is never in during the day (and if he is, he's loudly playing computer games etc with his mates. Not his fault, the walls are really thin here) and the other side is workmen renovating the house of doom where the hoarder lived :D Plus I won't be home to moan about how terrible the music is or even worse in her book, sing along with it :rotfl:

This evening I've done 3 loads of washing, fixed my trusty old bag which I broke the zip on the other day and played with the dog. I bought him a doggy jumper from Mr A and some baby socks for him to wear while we're around rather than the cone of shame. We put the cone on before as he started chewing his leg again but the silly thing decided to climb up and over the sofa like he normally would and fell off it! Between that and him constantly whacking his head on stuff including our faces we had enough. It appears that just covering the areas seems to be working. I just can't get the socks to stay on his legs so I'm going to pick up some soft fabric hair bobbles tomorrow to use from a cheap shop ;)

Right, I'd best get to bed. My phone has just shouted at me that its midnight and I wanted to be asleep by now :o

Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.
Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!

    Nice dress Valli :D
    Thank you LW ;)
GWS to your doggie, nicki. Sounds like you have a thoughtful vet.
    How is Master Moo today?

I did a big shop yesterday and cleaned all through downstairs with DH doing the hoovering. I had to buy a new shredder because the other one seized up  Apart from doing WMx1 (which stayed out on the line all night) the rest of the day was spent cooking, and a very nice evening was had by all. After our friends had gone I loaded the DW and WUDUPA the rest, then sat and watched WFYTYA - very moving.

So here I am now, trying to come to my full senses and work up boundless energy to cope with DGD1+2 all day. We had planned to go to the park but DGD1 has had a bit of a gippy tummy, so we shall have to stay at home. DH will let them run the garden railway for a while, and then we'll probably put up the tent and they can play while I clear some grotty areas of the back garden.

Hope you all have a good (or at least better) day, especially CY and Natty. (((Hugs))), spoons and sticks all round, as needed x
  • Morning all,

Just off to the paid stuff, but posting list to motivate me later. It is the list from Wednesday that I did not do. So then I can do Thursday on Saturday and Friday on Sunday. That makes sense to me anyway.
