TYVM for comments re the frock. Mater says it's 'not what she expected' TBH I think the word 'pink' was enough of a shock. But I think it will be just the job and, as I say, I can wear it again. Last two weddings I went to I spent a ridiculous amount on outfits that I never wore again. And it goes with the fascinator and bag I have been loaned (which Mater bought for a wedding then never wore because she bought something else).:money: I do hope she (and the rest of the clan) DO like it. Because they will be seeing it again - at Christmas:rotfl:

Dropped DS in town (has rare night off!) so popped into M0rrisons as I have run out of butter - got a big chicken half price! As I have one in the freezer already I have flung this one in the oven - will do for dinners tomorrow.:money: or even Sunday:cool:

And the chicken casserole I made for DD yesterday, with new potatoes included (to pad it out and to make it one pot and they are (technically) OOD) has fed us all; DD twice. The Vallikids had theirs inside a big Yorkshire Pudding; DS had his with dumplings (3 - from the freezer). DS wanted an Indian takeaway because DD was at work but I have had an expensive week so stood my ground:D and this will be the healthiest meal DS has eaten for some time.:o

Congrats to the Dancecrew on their recent successes!

Sooo I managed wm x1 pegged out for an hour to blow, got it back in not quite dry so on the airer overnight

Also did the weekly shop and fetched DD from work

DD is here to stay the night as we are off to see my Grandma (99) in the morning and I want an early start, well 9ish, not that early for me but early for her on a day off!!

I also walked 4.33km this evening to get me to (and past) my 10.000 step target, thats about 2.7 miles I think so not bad in 50 minutes!

    Off to bed night all

    xx

I started to sort ds2 s clothes but he got fed up if trying things on, so I will sort his warderobe tomorrow. His chest of drawers have been decluttered. Some to go to cash for clothes and some to try and sell. I have also brought all of the 3-4 stuff out of their box so he has everything for the right age now. He is 3 and a half but small for his age so only just going out of 2-3 stuff! I have found wellies, slippers and crocs in the next size up so won't need to buy any. There is an advantage of having two boys!
Have also brought the washing I amd sorted I to I to an ironingile and folded and put away the rest.
Fil came round for dinner so he helped OH trim the bushes along the side of the house, aided by our new hedge trimmer that we bought from *ldi yesterday! They were over hanging the public path so they definately needed doing!

I let ds1 Hoover his own room today! He loved it but because I didn't get to clear ds2s room we couldn't Hoover in there! So that is tomorrow's job!

Here is my carryover list for to,orrow...

    Wudupa
    Clean dining room windows-filthy!
Empty pretty wicker toy storage of stuff that has been dumped in there so I can wash the liner and start putting baby toys in it!
    Towel wash

Friday Flyday- those frightening kids rooms and spare rooms
    Vacuum the floor
    Tidy up the playroom!

    Extra Task List
    sort ds2s warderobe!
    HHI
go to m and s and get rest of uniform
    Pay in cheque
wrap birthday presents for two parties tomorrow!
    Grocery challenge-

    Evening all all :hello:

    Valli - Lovely dress

I have managed to finish all relevant on the listies this week apart from doing some ironing. I might try to get that done over the weekend - see how things go as DH not working :D

Have to get some shopping sometime as well, though don't need much as freezers pretty full and had a Mr T yesterday for top-ups. Just milk, fresh fruit and veggies and some pack-up stuff for the week. I also have a couple of things to take back to the shops that I don't like now I've tried them on.

I have some peppers in the fridge that need cooking so might make a big batch of beef Bolognese with the mince left in the freezer and throw it all in the slow cooker. I am also planning on making a big pot of soup the morrow with odd bits of left-over stews/casseroles (frozen as I go along) some bottom of the fridge veggies and tomatoes. Will have some for tea the morrow and probably make a rhubarb crumble for afters. The rest can be frozen for another day.

I still need to turn up my shorts for my holibobs as well so that's another job to do soon, as it will soon come round.

It's strange how you never seem to run out of things to do isn't it. Even when you think it's all done there's always something else :rotfl:

((hugs)), sticks and spoons for anyone needing some
Hope you all have a super weekend

    Hi all

Went out last night which was lovely but I just didnt sleep. Too much food I think, got up at 5.30 and did an online food shop and have been shopping about online for new kitchen bits, the joiner is finally coming to finish off next week.

Lynne I never get to the point where I have "finished" and its something I struggle with because I find it hard to leave jobs undone!

Windows need a clean, DS will be to pick up at some point and there are various bits of laundry, tidying, dusting etc to do.

Narco scary stuff - and well done on the exercising! I can only manage a couple of classes at the moment because of my dodgy knee.

Right, I am either going back to bed for a bit or going to get dressed and get on!

It looks like we're all off to a laid-back start this morning - or is everyone too busy to post?

    I have
    - tidied round the house
    - S&S'd the kitchen
    - started WM
    - hoovered the DR and hall to remove dried mud off DH's work boots
    - worked out how it to arrange the CD/radio and speakers on my study bookshelf so that I don't have to switch it off when I want to plug in the keyboard (which means that I lose the pre-set stations) - but I still need to find a home for ongoing paperwork and books
    - tidied some things away in the study and got others out to deal with today.

DH is playing on the railway so all is quiet :) I have plenty to keep me occupied, and yes, Lynne, I never run out of things to do either!

Just finishing a :coffee: and then I will knuckle down for an hour, by which time the WM load should be ready to hang out.
Anyone care to keep me company in 2xHHSomething?

I had 1HH blackberrying on Kelpie's first walk, Ionafan. Does that count? That's now two patches I've found on our routine walking route from which I've managed to harvest over a kilo to date, and a third one which is too exposed for any to ripen yet that's tucked away. Not bad for a city centre dweller.

Did anyone see the story about the 1906 Message in a Bottle story? The bottle came from the Marine Biological Association which is where most of our scientific types, including Lovely Lodger, work. Apparently as the reward for posting the postcard back was 1 shilling they had to go on Ebay to buy one to reward the finder. Excellent story.

Must do some carpet sucking. Kelpie sheds like no other animal I've ever had. If you reverse the colour scheme on Valli's smart dress, that's what our carpets look like. Not good on the floor, basically.
    Better is good enough.

I heard that on the radio, Honey Bear - and was ridiculously thrilled because I have seen the MBA building, by the Hoe.

According to this the reward should have been just over £15!

Here in Derbyshire we're about as far away from the sea as it's possible to be. A teacher friend of mine was telling me she know of a secondary school student for whom work experience was being arranged. Apparently he was interested in Marine Biology. They arranged for his work experience to be undertaken here :rotfl:

3 loads on line; 1 more in.
