Really tired today, must be all that exercise!
-potted up 24 tiny aubrietia plug plants that arrived today
-walked up to village PO to post a parcel. Whole village is talking about yesterday's break-in.
-tackled frog :T: have finally got round to putting 2 saddles on Gumtr££ which I've been "not getting round to" for about 3yrs. Also put freezer on it.
    - Mr N painted back of house and edges round windows, with me hovering to make sure he didn't fall off conservatory roof
    - chatted with postie, bravely doing his round after yesterday's episode. He said he wanted to face the demons and get it over with. I said well done, I'm sure being threatened of being stabbed is not in his job description.
-had long chat with mum and decided what excursions we want on hol, and booked them.
    - went to town to get more paint and curiously found 2 large beautiful half price Heucheras in my basket...........
-got a few odds & ends from Ald1 while I was there
    -watered greenhouse, patio, baskets etc
I think that's pretty much it really. It has been 30 degrees today and I don't do heat as well as I used to.

Dancemum- OH checked the phones tonight and on one of them he found a picture of me two weeks overdue with ds1. I was huge!! That we never got printed off! And newborn pictures of ds1 in hospital! Now just got to work out how to print them off an archaic phone! Glad I didn't just chuck them!!

Tonight, was a bit of a white wash! We travelled 45 minutes to find out that the party is tomorrow night! Doh! So an hour and a half wasted driving! Lol! The annoying thing is that I have to do it all again tomorrow!

Anyway not too much planned for tomorro so hope to get some bits done around the house. I must do a tip run tho as we have boxes and bags in the garden full of hedge trimmings!

    Evening all

Back from our jollies, a long day of driving but happy to be back in one piece.

DS1 moved out this evening with his GF to a rented flat about 25 minutes away (in your direction Narco). This week will be about catching up, getting straight and collating all the stuff they have left behind.

For now though time to set the WM.

WM1&2 done and on the line WM3 in progress - race before the rain arrives.

Alternating between I'm going to declutter, deep clean and despair as I always do post holiday.

For now a shower and a cheeky hour dead heading/cutting back in the garden for that is the easiest area to take control of.

    Have a good day all.

  • Morning all,

    Not a bad day yesterday:

    [STRIKE]DW and worktops
    S&S bathroom
    Make beds
    WM
Sweep and mop kitchen and hall
    Tip run
Birthday present for DD1s friend, and new baby present for OH's friend
General tidy round and hoover as going out tonight and OH's sister and niece coming to babys[/STRIKE]it

Thursday twirls- Living Room, Hall and Stairs

    [STRIKE]Vacuum floors and sofas
    Dusting, even if around everything
Remove clutter making sure stairs especially are safe [/STRIKE]
    Clean the windows
    water plants
[STRIKE]Vacuum under furniture you can manage to move without hurting yourself
    HHI
Wash any cushions, throws or curtains that need it[/STRIKE]

You wouldn't believe what was under the sofas. It was hideous and shameful and scary:eek:
Must do under sofas more often. Anyway, I am distinctly lacking in guag due to overeating and drinking last night. Oh dear. Taking DD1 to a party at lunchtime, but after that I have a list:

    make beds
    Wm
    DW and worktops
    Sweep and mop kitchen
    S & S
    Water plants
Hh weeding and plant new lavender
    HHI
    Tidy kids bedroom
    Dust it
    Hoover it
    Clean the window in it.

Actually should do a bit now. Come on woman, get off your bum!

    Morning all

Frizzle - It did after an hour soaking in as hot as I could stand it water :o:rotfl:

Yesterday flying didn't really happen after my bath, however we did a lot of baking. DD had a go at a plated loaf, I made 2 loaf cakes and 6 lots of 1lb loaves :D The spares are in the freezer, and I've had some for breakfast.

Today I've already got a 2nd wash load on, and tidied up the kitchen. Not sure what we're going to do with the rest of the day. I was going to make my Christmas cake but there's not enough room in the freezer to store it (Its alcohol free ;) ) so that'll have to wait.

I have re-hung some of yesterday's washing which got wet 'on the top' while hanging on the line and brought some back in and put out today's.

What I am wondering abotu doing is getting in the back garden and doing some digging up; the wet will have softened the soil; the strawberry bed (and would also be the 'allotment' had I planted anything) is covered in grass - fortunately that seems to be choking out the bittercress - but I know if I weed the bittercress will return - hopefully I can keep on top of it by hoeing.

You're always welcome to drop in if you're in the area. Silly thing to say really, as if you're in the area you will be visiting them......but you know what I mean.

Hope you had a good time.
