Phew. Just sitting down to a :coffee: after a rather mad few days. Don't really know what to do first.

Might start with the fridge actually- needs a good wipe out, and then I ought to empty the DW.

Right, I'm going to potter now until my dad gets here I think- kids are very quiet I must go see what they are up to!!!

Well I decided to attack the 'allotment'.

Good decision; as I thought the recent rain means it's soft enough to dig (Oh! the joy of clay soil) and weeds etc are yielding to tugging and digging. The washing has dried so I am having a sit down and a :coffee: and then throwing myself back at it.
I shall get the washing in before continuing.

6 loads of washing dried outside including a king sized duvet cover which took less than 30 mins. All in now as rain is threatening.

    Packing nearly done

Well, today didn't go as planned. It was all going well this morning and then mum and dad came round. They wanted something researching and buying off *m*zon so we did that and then after they had gone hubby decided he wanted to go and look at bbqs and one of places shut at 2 so we had a quick lunch and headed out. Two shops later and many arguments about shopping purchases and we are home.
We have very different perspectives about spending habits. I was looking at the ones between £100 and £200 as hubby wanted to get a 'decent one'. He was looking at the ones betwee. £400 and £500.
We don't have a good track record with bbqs so I am very wary of spending such a lit of money on something that will be used two or three times a year and will probably end up in the tip after a couple of years.
Our next argument was over an aquarium. We just happened to walk past the fish section at a garden centre and that was it he wanted one. The one he was looking at cost nearly £1000 plus £350 for all the set up stuff plus we actually need to buy the fish! Now whirl I am not adverse to getting one in the future there is so much that needs doing on the house first. Every room needs decorating and we need a new kitchen. When I said we should wait he wanted to buy a small one today! No research- lets just buy an aquarium!

    Anyway rant over!
Kids are supposed to be going to a party at an outdoor swimming pool tonight and it is chucking it down! Hubby doesn't want to go but we said we would so I don't want to let them down.

Anyway back to flying- not as much crossed off the list as I would like!

Clean dining room windows its raining!
    Sort ds2s warderobe
    Put up bathroom cabinetOH
    Put up bathroom shelfOH
All boxes/stuff from decorating etc to be put back in garageits raining!
    Box up ds1s outgrown clothes
    Build patio table its raining!
Tip run with all the hedge trimmings!everything is soakd due to the rain.

Ok not a lot else off the list I can do!

    6) Dusted the LR as far as possible- it's full of men playing a board game!
    7) Polished my toe nails!!
    8) Folded all of DD washing and neatly stashed it in her laundry basket ready for her to take home later
    9) Cleaned the kitchen surfaces (need to do floor but my mop handle snapped off and I can't do it on my knees-I'd never get up again!! LOL

Slightly irritating/amusing start to day - decided to cycle to church (about 2miles by road). Fine. Came out of church, decided to add to the fitness by going back the country route which is a bit longer. Waved goodbye to everyone, turned down the bridleway, hit a bump, nearly fell off and the chain came off its sprocket. Cue walking back past bemused congregation and pushed the blighter home......

-gradually reallocating 'windowsill plants' so it is not so crowded
    - started to prepare paperwork for tomorrow's assessment
    -did a lot of deadheading
-put freezer for sale outside garage, as had suggested anytime after 1pm for potential buyer. Dusted and polished it. An hour later it started drizzling, so covered it with plastic sheet. Cue a monsoon so put it back in garage. Still no word from buyer. Huh.
-searched for new recipe as MIL coming round later and I'm bored of what I keep making.
-rearranged/topped up 2 flower arrangements in lounge and leaf-wiped lots of house plants.
    - have had immersion on to do some washing up and mop floor so that's where I'm going right now.
-Mr N has put new towel rail up in bathroom just to see how it looks; room due for decoration so it will come down soon.
    - he also washed down conservatory roof as we still have window fitter's nice ladder.
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.

Kitchen floor swished, carpets sucked on top layer and skimmed on stairs, bathroom cleaned, bedroom tidied. I've come to the conclusion that being a perfectionist is a bad habit and a wretched nuisance; anything I do at all is an improvement even when what I've done is slapdash. It's all looking a bit better, anyway.
    Better is good enough.

    Hello all, I'm back.

Spent last week visiting family and friends in London. I appear to have brought lovely weather back with me.:D

Flying has been ongoing. I'm still trying to get the Kondoed stuff out of the door. It's a slow and frustrating process:mad:

3 months last Sunday. Loving it.

Will definitely be flying on piste this week. Things are slowly getting less manic, and I am keeping things under control. I seem to have been spending a lot of money though - gardeners, carpets, gutters, and we are having a sofa recovered as we have literally worn through the old covers.

((((hugs)))) to those in need. Spoons and large sticks available by the back door.
    Goals - Weight loss 6/26lb at 22nd Jan 18
    Mmmm. 26lb at 1/7/18. Oops:o

Evening all day not really gone to plan when I discovered the horrid moths had set up home in the garage, the shower wasn't working and my lovely picture I had brought for myself which DS1 took down so it would not be broken smashed when OH did not put it back properly.

Feeling right fed up now and back to the paid stuff tomorrow with the house still a tip.

DS1 has been back to take more of his stuff and is now regretting not taking up neighbour's offer of free furniture.

DS2 was supposed to be putting chips in, simple but he hasn't put enough in so dinner now all out of sink.

Hoping for a better week next week.
